"mostly what I expected"
I wanted a cheap hotel. I got a cheap hotel. For the price I paid, everything was fine, except for the bathroom. It had some issues that a good bathroom cleaner with bleach would have taken care of fairly easily. The bathroom door wasn't properly hung and would not close, the alarm clock did not work. The motel lost power at 1:30am and the smoke detector went off. I called the desk and they were unhelpful in shutting off the smok dector, I opened it up and disconnected the wiring. The power was off for the rest of the night. Hotel was old looking and old overall, The breakfast was not even worth mentioning. We went to Dunkin Doughnuts for breakfast. The halls where dirty and noisy and when there where people above us you could hear everything including the toilet (and what they where doing in it). The rooms need a serious update, there was mold growing in the bathroom the sheets were too big for the bed, and the pillows were paper thin. "You get what you pay for. It was OK."
I stopped here to break up a six hour trip and it was the cheapest place with decent reviews. I had two complaints: 1. The cleanliness was not what I was hoping for. The shower was dirty and there were spots and stains over much of the bathroom. 2. There was a musty odor in the room, but it wasn't too extreme. "great hotel form someone on a very low budget"
Not a very good experience. Had to clean the shower wall & tube & still use shower shoes. The hotel was a older hotel that this new ownership took over & is trying to bring is up to date. Continental Breakfast needs to be upgraded. But this was a last minute reservation, so I am thankful that I had a place to stay for the tournament.
