Right on Via Cavour and next to Roma Termini made our life much easier since we had to leave early morning to Florence. Most of the sight seeing buses start from there and Palatino and Colosseum are 10 minutes walk from here. This 100 year old hotel still retaining the old decor which is in pretty good state. The hotel was conveniently located near Termini and we arrived late night so it was good to be so close to the train station that we arrived in from FCO. The hotel served a delicious breakfast and the staff was available to answer every question. The hotel was quiet. We noticed the hotel could use a really good top to bottom cleaning of the rooms as […] we noticed a layer of dust on the walls. With that said, the bathroom was large, the beds were clean and comfortable and I would stay here again should I return to Rome. There are 2 hotels connected in the same building so it was a bit confusing as to which desk we should talk to about our stay. Very comfortable, classy but affordable hotel for a family. We were very pleased with its walkability to the train terminal, grocery store, metro station, exchange places and almost every major sight. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was great.

The hotel was very close to the termini station about a city block, about a block from the hop on hop off bus, about a block from the subway and city buses also. Lots of good restauraunts close, cruise port and airport were both about an hour and a half by shuttle

We really only slept in the hotel,spending all day sightseeing. The room was larger than expected with average furnishing,the beds were not particulary comfortable,but adequate. The bathroom needs a facelift. The hotel overall was pleasant and the staff we came into contact with were polite and helpfull(the communication between night and day staff […] was good as we made requests at night for the following day and they were supplied). The one small downside was the noise of the Trams in the early hours(but I tend to wake at around 4:00am )but it was not to intrusive. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends with the above caveats as it is perfectly positioned for using the busses and trains and you can be anywhere in Rome very quickly. The good news is it is a very short distance from the train station (Termini) so if you have heavy bags it won't be a problem to carry them far. It's close enough to get back there also if you want to take the Metro so the location is pretty good. Hotel is very close to Main Rome Train station but the rooms are very old fashioned designed. Surprisingly the standard rooms do not have a Tea kettle maker nor any tea/coffee sachets in the rooms. Were denied the same even on request, in the first 2 days of stay but were given in last 2 days. Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable, clean and comfortable room. The Internet connection was a little clunky but worked. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay. Ortona is a great town.

Advantages of staying at this hotel: location (5 minutes walk from termini station). This is helpful if you have to catch an early morning flight and wish to take the Leonardo Express Train to get to the fiumicino airport within 31 minutes from the termini at a reasonable price (14 euros). Inconvenients: this hotel is outdated, with old decor; the […] bathrooms smell funny, despite daily cleaning; the staff is not the friendliest nor the most helpful in terms of suggesting how to get around town or tourism activities; traffic sounds can keep you up at night if your room faces the street; also when i stayed there, some hotel guests stayed a good portion of the night having a loud conversation in the hallway. We stayed here 5 days in 2011. Booked two nights following a cruise in November 2012. Few blocks from Roma Termini. Nice morning buffet. Good wifi. Seems like more restaurants have opened nearby. Good base of operations for seeing Rome.

The hotel is older but comfortable. It's very convenient, close to termini station and Metro. The staff is exceptional. They were so helpful to us. When we had our passports stolen in Rome, the staff help us get to the US consulate quickly to get our emergency passport so that we did not miss our cruise that day.

Overall, I thought this hotel was OK. The bedroom & bathroom were very large, and the shower in particular was a good size. My biggest complaint was that the wi-fi was very slow, and you would get kicked off the internet frequently (although I stayed on the 4th floor so this may be related). The breakfast buffet was very good.

Hotel is a short walk from the railway station. They upgraded us to the Bettoja Mediterraneo which was next door. Came with breakfast, which was nice selection of things to choose from. Lots of restaurants around the area, and easy to walk to sites. Yes I would stay here again and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

The room was small but very clean. They changed the pillow covers every day. The location was excellent near the main train station. the breakfast was excellent and had a lot of variety. The hotel's location was convenient for us because the hotel is close to the Central Train Station, metro, Open Top sightseeing bus stop and the Green Line Tour company office where we boarded our bus for sightseeing tours around and outside Rome. An an American, I am used to hotels providing face, hand and body towels. There were no face towels (commonly called wash cloths in the US) and the hand towels were very thin like some kitchen towels in the US. However, the bath towel was of fine quality. Very welcoming; had our room ready at 9 AM. Safe, comfortable, and relaxing quarters. All desk personnel speak perfect English. Rooms are especially spacious by European standards. On the whole hotel was OK, convenient to Termini station, only about 5mins walk away.Room was large and very clean.Furniture could do with with some updating and at least one British channel on TV would be welcome to catch up with the news,etc.Rest of the hotel very pleasing with nice seating areas. Located about 100 meters from Roma Termini, this hotel served our needs for being clean and spacious while accessing the metro lines and Leonard Davinci Express. The rooms were a bit tricky to figure out. The card key turns the electricity on and when removed, the entire room goes dark. Would definitely stay there again.

Our primary objective when looking for a hotel in Rome was that it be close to the train station. This was extremely close, so we went with it. However, the hotel is very old and is in desperate need of updating and cleaning. The WiFi would rarely work in our room, so we had to keep going down to the lobby to use the internet.

We really were impressed with the friendliness of the hotel staff and helpfulness. They made our stay so much easier. We walked into the hotel and Monica greeted us with a smile and immediately made us feel right at home.

I chose this hotel based upon comments from other travelers and I was glad that I did. We stayed here for 8 nights and were very satisfied with the value for the money. The included breakfast buffet from 6:30-10:30 AM every day was far more than we expected from a Europeann hotel..we had scrambled eggs, bacon, assorted pastries, cereal, yogurt, lots […] of toppings, fresh fruit and both American style and Italian coffee options. Our room was made up with freshly cleaned and ironed sheets and pillow cases every day. There were several Englsh language options on the cable TV, and the excellent staff at the front desk all spoke Englsh. The room had a king size bed, plus a sitting area for watching TV, and a refrigerator with a mini bar with reasonable rates. The only thing missing was an ice machine...you could only obtain ice from the bar on the 10th Floor of the adjoining hotel. The best part was the close proximity to the Main Termini station...we walked out the front door, took a left, and it was only a block away. The Metro was easy to use with the help of a plastic coated street and Metro map that I purchased from a newspaper vendor outside for 3 Euros. Uzziniet vairāk

Good location in Rome-literally a five minute walk to the Loenardo Express to the airport. Breakfast was great in terms of variety, but even though we turned up at 10.10 (when it was supposed to last from 8.30 - 10.30) we were told it was closing soon & made to feel very rushed.
