Good value for a downtown hotel. Have stayed a few times and always good experience. Room sizes vary, but were always clean and had fridge and microwave. Nothing fancy, but hard to beat for location and price.

When we checked in the man at the front desk was an awesome/ helpful guy, my son loved it but he loves any hotel, the cleaning ladies were also awesome, I couldnt let them in the room BC my dog would go crazy so they let me borrow their vacuum and gave me trash bags and plenty of towels and sheets etc...they are very friendly people, the pay was great […] for accommodations and overall we enjoyed our time!! My husband and I came in from Fairbanks and we're extremely happy with our two days there. The rooms were clean the staff was friendly and the location is awesome. We will definitely stay there again. The only problem is key did not work all the time But there was always somebody at the front desk to give us a new one. Parking is poor, only 10 spaces are adjacent to the hotel. The front desk lady is rude and very unhelpful. The room had gummy bears on the floor and the microwave would not work if the refrigerator was on. When the refrigerator was on it ticked loudly so we had to unplug it in order to sleep.

The night front desk person was rude and not helpful at all, seemed too pre occupied with her iPhone to be of any help. While we were waiting I saw a man ask her if their Restaurant was open and she was rude and short with him.

Pros - Close to Airport - Hotel Bar - Views (in summer only) - Free Parking, shuttle, internet Cons - Hotel Resturant Food is a lot of $ and it's not even good food - Room heat was difficult to control (winter) - No swimming pool

The receptionist were great very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the service they provide are great.

Not a bad stop in. Don't expect much other than a bed and shower. Perfect for a quick over nightstay but not recommended for any extended stay or casual getaway.

It was convienient, and comfortable. I have stayed at other local affortabel hotels that were much less comfortable. The staff are very helpful and keep the hotel clean and comfortable.

Check in was easy and counter person very courteous. Room was clean and organized. Only bad thing is no elevator to 3rd floor, but my wife said I need the exercise

The lobby smelled like cigarettes and disinfectant, the hallways smelled musty and dirty. Our room was so small we could barely move around the bed and our alley view afforded us loud, raucous all night entertainment from the iffy club just behind the hotel. Our bathroom was badly in need of renovation, typified by the randomly scalding water in the […] shower. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient, but there are other hotels in the area that I'm sure would be a better value. There were a preponderance of smokers and spitters surrounding the entrances day and night as well, which didn't add to the ambience. Find a different hotel and save yourself the grief. Terrible hotel. Customer service was terrible. Stood at the front desk for half an hour trying to check in. Sketchy people in the parking lot at all hours of the night. Water temperature in the shower is random. The bedding gave my girlfriend and I a rash. I recommend this hotel be taken off the website.

bathroom floor was sticky. smelled funnyin the half and in the room. the iron didn't work and the floor wasn't vacuumed well.

Helpful staff, great location downtown. Free shuttle from train depot. Easy walking distance to museums and event center. Only negative thing, I wanted my in room coffe to g & there were no lids avaliable.

When we arrived the power was out in Anchorage. The clerk was a jewel in the way she was trying to register people and answer calls and desk visits about the outage. I told her later I would have grabbed some of those people by the throat but she never lost her cool.

Not very clean. When taking a shower water temperature constantly changed from hot to cold. No control over room temperature. This was on the fourth floor.

the hotel downtown 5th ave has the right price, close to the down town stores, but there are so many that are drinking and asking for cigarettes, trying to sell things. it's sorta uncomfortable. the desk clerks are nice and helpful.

For a discount hotel this a great place to stay - staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable, not much outside noise - great place for a quick over night stay if you're looking for a good, solid basic value hotel. I've stayed here 3-4 times and have never been disappointed.

I stayed at this Hotel while going to a conference at the Sheraton which is just a short walk away. I saved a lot of money and the room was fine for getting a decent nights sleep. Just what I was looking for.

The night desk clerk that worked there was very rude. We had to wait 10 minutes to get checked in. He was counting his money and would not even say hello or anything. We had to ask him to get us checked in. It was ridiculous. We were tired and were flying all day. We wanted to get to our room and retire for the night.
