This hotel was absolutely wonderful! We were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and had a great time. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Anything we needed they cared for. The only hiccup during the whole trip was a slow drain on the bathroom sink and shower which they resolved quickly. I look forward to my next visit there!!

Stayed in an oceanfront room with a balcony. The view was excellent, and the 3 pools were nice. There is a sand bar in front of the hotel that allows you to wade in pretty far without going too deep. When we arrived there were fingerprints all over the glass doors and missing soap. When I called, these were promptly remedied. The "king" bed was not […] 76" wide but something like 69", which was not large enough to sleep 2 adults and one young child. The staff and management were incredulous when I brought this to their attention, but we ended up transferring to a room with two queen beds which was better but it was inconvenient to pack, move, and unpack again. The placee is good and what you would expect for an expensive hotel per night.The 'Resort Fee" unwelcome as well as the 'mandatory tip' on all services of 18.5%. Not only that, but you are not told of these fees as the receipts have a blank for additional tipping. Stayed at the hotel with friends. Rooms were average at best. Toilet didn't work. Called to have it fixed 3 different times and finally the last night we were there we had to change rooms because of this reoccurring problem. Marriott lost a customer this last weekend.

A hotel is more than a building. The building was very nice and without complaint. The service was TERRIBLE. Lines to check in. Lines to ask questions. Lines to get taxis. Lines to get check bags. And when the service problems were mentioned to staff and management the response was very nicely delivered but was too bad. They did not even the simplist […] things to facilitate matters. Extra staff behind the counter, did not step up to check people in or out (as happens in most good hotels). They did not bother calling taxis, but rather simply waited for taxis to drive by or drop off other people. In fact when people waiting in line for 20-30 minutes started calling taxis, the cabs came within minutes despite the hotel staff saying there were no cabs available. I never again would stay in this hotel. Its rate is very expensive and the room very small. I got a final bill during my check out. It included 15 water-bottles, which I never asked, at $3.50 each. Our room was nicely appointed with a wonderful view, but for the money the hotel was not kept up as well as it appears online. While the modern style of the bathroom had its appeal, there was absolutely no "sound" privacy if you know what I mean and there was no lock to the commode area. I stayed in the King suite, which had an ocean view balcony that was breathtaking. The room itself was enormous, and had a microwave, empty refridgerator, etc., so it was almost like staying at a very luxious apartment. . The bathroom had both a stand up shower and soaking tub and was also huge. The hotel is in Miami Beach, just a couple of doors down […] from the Fontainbleau, which has a really vibrant nightclub scene in it. For more options you can take the shuttle bus that stops just across the street from Eden Roc for 2 dollars and it stops right at Lincoln Road, close to all the shops, and near Ocean Drive. Very good. The only thing bothersome was the knocking on the door at 9:30 in the morning when we had the "don't disturb" sign on the door reminding us that we were going to check out at 11:00 .

The Eden Roc is a great spot for someone looking for the best of Miami Beach. You are secluded enough to relax and just a short cab ride away from all the action of South Beach. The resort has beautiful views and a variety of areas to relax in.

Definitely stay in the newer "Ocean" tower. All rooms have a balcony and the size of the room was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, except for one waitress at the outdoor restaurant.

The hotel does not deserve a 5 star rating. It is 3 star at best and for conferences only. Would not stay there again at any price, let alone the high rates they charge. Poor service, zero amenities in room, no turn down service, empty minibar etc

Was unexpectedly pleased with Eden Roc for a last-minute (48-hour) getaway to Miami. While it was north of South Beach, it was a $10-$12 cab ride from the hotel to get to the area, and by day 2 I was comfortable taking the $2 public bus! Staff was pleasant and the room quite roomy, clean, and comfortable (VERY comfortable bed). The pools, hot tub (waterfall), […] and beach area were great. Only negative there was that the "Adult Pool" was not enforced, as when I went up there I found at least 3 couples with strollers and toddlers (and I didn't feel like acting as the Sergeant at Arms!). The hotel was really nice! Spacious and clean room. Outdoor area was great, too. The only thing i didn't like was the $25/day resort fee. We were a group of 3, so needed to pay for an extra chair on the beach each day. This seemed very silly. The hotel is a very nice 50's building. Fast elevators, huge rooms. Very nice bed linens and bath. However a few security items are missing such as holding bars inside the shower stall and a telephone in the bathroom. They should be considered. Also the place were the mattress stands has very pointy straight corners so I kept banging my legs on it. […] This is a very bad design "sin" for a deluxe hotel. Those corners should'nt be so. everything was very nice. only complaint was the room temperature. the hallways were cooler than the room ever got. supposedly from the front desk the air was working properly. this may seem minor to some but it will prevent me from staying here again. even though everything else was perfect

Overall the hotel was very nice..although if you want to sit outside on your balcony, I suggest not. Filthy dirty with stained furniture and uncleaned glass. Also a gift was sent to the hotel for my birthday that was never deliver to my room. Unacceptable!

Only a small complain about this hotel. I travel often and stay at 4 and 5 star hotels. I was surprised that the pool staff do not set up your lounge chairs with towels. You get your own towels and then you have to cover your chairs with the towels you get. I asked for four towels so that I can use two to cover my chair and two for use after swimming […] and I was asked how many rooms I have,as If I am asking for too many towels. I thought that was strange question. If you are at a 4 star hotel, the pool staff should set up your pool chairs for you. They seem to have sufficient staff around the pool that should provide this service to the guest as they do in many other hotels. The breakfast buffet was great... lots of fresh fruits and a good selection. The rest of my experience was great at this hotel. I had a water view with balcony near the beach and the view was fabulous. If you are looking for a chic younger crowd stay at the W Hotel. The guests here were a mixed crowd .
