I have stayed here several times over the past few years on regular trips through Frankfurt. The location is very convenient, the rooms are small but comfortable, and the breakfast room is a very pleasant place to start the day.

While the hotel and the sleeping room were functional, and clean, do not expect any luxury. The bed was reasonable and quite large by EU standards, the "desk" is integrated as a headboard. Plenty of power outlets and free wifi but kept having connection problems the last 3 days of stay. Breakfast was good for me, mostly cereals and breads with some cold cuts/cheeses and some fruit. We came in and found out that our room did not mesh with the information on the internet. The room next door was unoccupied and the desk was bigger than our room, we went downstairs to ask if we could switch since we were going to be there for 10 nights. The morning desk man said only if we paid an extra 25 Euro could we switch. We had already paid […] in full. Great hotel, but warning...they have been taken over by All Seasons Hotels which made it a bit confusing to find! We actually walked right passed it, as they only have a small sign left saying 'Ambassador Hotel'. But apart from that, faultless.

A good hotel located within 10 minutes of the city centre/river Main. The hotel was clean with friendly English speaking staff. Our room was kept clean everyday. The free breakfast choice was great, with a choice of breads, rolls, cakes, meats, cheeses, cereals, juices and warm drinks. Always nice to stay in a hotel that does not have the "chain" feel. Room was oddly shaped and quirky but quite functional. High ceilings and windows that opened meant that the air conditioner could be turned off. Very good breakfast with good service. Located just a short walk from the main hbf.

Excellent location, close to dverything, you do not need a car. Yes, two blocks to the opposite side is the red light center, which you do not see or even come in contact with. I would definite come back.

From a couple of Aussies: A very good experience - close to the train station for day trips out of Frankfurt and into town itself - our room had been recently refurbished so was very clean - breakfast was more than adequate with varied choice (nothing hot unless you made a toasted sanger, which I did) and I thought was terrific. I stayed at the All Seasons corner of same hotel. Review is of All Seasons. Nice pleasant hotel at the center of all frankfurt attractions but still away from the notorious red light area. Very helpful front desk. Clean No Smoking rooms. Toilets are very small. Need more TV channels and Pay TV.

Overall it is absolutely worth it! Location is 10 min walk to the center city, 5 min to metro/train. About 2 blocks from red light district did NOT bother us, just added an exotic to our stay-we do like adventure!

This hotel has nice staff and a very descent breakfast. The only issue we saw was that the rooms were a bit small and dated. The doors for instance had to be really pressed hard to lock. Also, there were no mini-bars or fridges or water bottles in the room. If you get this at a good price, it's worth it as it had a very centralized location. This is now the All Seasons Hotel and is being refurbished. The location is close to the train station which is good but the overall area is not great. If you want to be near the Romerburg pay extra to stay in a nicer hotel. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but you can get free tea/coffee/water in the reception lounge. Although […] there is free WiFi and an internet point in reception there is no printer so when we asked to print off our boarding passes we were told we had to go to a local internet cafe instead. The only minus for this hotel is that the air conditioning was too hot in the room with no control panel. The only way we could cool it was by opening the window, which then let in the noise of late night/early morning revellers and traffic.

This hotel was great. It was extermely clean and newly remodelled. The bed was a bit lumpy, but it wasn't really a game changer. The location was perfect for our trip as it's in the heart of the downtown area.

This is a twin hotel sharing the same reception, lounge etc with the all seasons hotel - which is relatively new and looked like much better maintained. We were given a dirty room with torn curtains totally unacceptable - was able to change to one at the lower floor (much better) with AC etc. - that room was acceptable - still the stairs etc were dirty […] and the room was renovated but old. We had booked 2 triple rooms, but they tried to put 2 of us in a double without AC. The blinds were dusty and when I went to open them, they fell off. We asked for a new triple room, as booked. The ambassador was a great option for us to be able to stay close to the train station near the middle of the city and in reach of all of our wanted destinations. Is an easy destination as a stopover in Frankfurt, with a great breakfast, comfortable room and helpful staff.

We stayed our first night here and was very happy. The location is great, but the area is a bit noisy and area is less German then others, but its still very nice and easy to get around. It was a really nice stay, the front desk staff was VERY friendly and helpful a lot of places to eat around the area and maybe a 10 min walk to the train station, and YES the RED LIGHT DISTRICT is a 3 min walk around the corner, anyway the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were spot free, really the ONLY thing I didn't care for was the elevator, sometimes […] it worked sometime it didn't but they do have another one I WOULD stay there again. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel it was about 30 euros but I know that could change depending on a number of reasons,the train back was about 3 euros and was a shorter trip. Only glitch was while the access was to be for full stay, the system rejected log-in on three consecutive days requiring a new password.
