The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was set back away from the main streeet so it felt more secure. The hallway was a bit dingy and so was the room. We were given a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke. We know that people violate hotel policies, but we feel that the maid service should have informed management that a non-smoking room had been smoked in. The manager was apologetid and gave us a different room. Next, the TV was set on closed captioning and could not be changed by either us or the […] manager that night. We endured this annoyance as we watched the Olympics. The manager was pleasant in dealing with these problems, but better training of staff might have eliminated them.
