I really wanted to like the Pruneyard Inn - and in some will ways still do. All I requested was a quiet room to go to bed early after a long day. Instead I was put in a room where even the night desk clerk responded "I don't know why they would put you in that room, they knew there was going to be a party tonight and that's one of the loudest rooms […] we have." He was right. It was like being INSIDE the party in my room. Then to find blood stains on the comforter was pretty gross. Everything was fantastic--except that the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the holiday crowd (we unfortunately had to stay over President's Day Weekend). I say "a bit" because it wasn't too inconvenient, only slightly. For example, when we walked down to the pool on Saturday evening, there were no clean towels for about 15 minutes. In the morning, […] the line for continental breakfast was out the door into the lobby, with some people waiting 15 minutes just to be seated. Dishes were in scarce supply. The food was fantastic though. I've never had such good fresh fruit in a hotel, they had several varieties of yogurt and cottage cheese, a large tray full of a wide variety of baked goods and breads, and 5 or 6 different juices to choose from. They probably just needed an extra staff person or two who knew how to handle a crowd, and it would have been fine. Otherwise our stay was fantastic! Would highly recommend and go back. Everything was perfect for the price, except that it was too hot and I couldn’t regulate the temperature in the room. We also heard the next door people shower really loud. "Room location is key"
The people and service at the Pruneyard hotel are very good. It it conveniently located in the Pruneyard shopping area so there are stores and restaurants within footsteps from the hotel. It is clean and comfortable and our king size bed room rate was very reasonable. Our only negative comment was as to our room location. We have stayed at the Pruneyard […] before on upper floors of the main hotel and they were great. This time we were on the first floor on the long hall of the parking lot/shopping center side and I would not recommend that. There is a constant flow of pedestrian traffice by your window (which gets a little unnerving even with the light shades drawn) and it seemed to be the spot for maintenance and delivery trucks to stop and set up for extended periods. We were out of the room alot visitng friends and family so it was not bad enough to request a room change but next time we will know to be more specific about our room location. "Good choice for San Jose area."
Room was newly redecorated and very clean. Staff was pleasant and accomodating to get us checked in early. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with great service for a small tip. Good location near freeway, restaurants and shopping.Patiesa Expedia viesa atsauksme

"Great hotel for a getaway"
