I thought this was a very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was quite comfortable. I never made it to the pool or fitness area as I was only there one night. The managers social and the breakfast were fantastic. There was a cost for all the niceties though as it was not feasible to stay longer.

First entering the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly and courteous staff member. Our room was fine - condition of the sofa looked worn but overall served its purpose. Free Wifi! The breakfast was awesome - something for everyone! I would definitely go back again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone is so nice and the hotel is very clean

Stayed recently with our team. Kids loved the pool, parents loved the manager reception. Breakfast was amazing - staff was amazing. Looking forward to returning next year!

My husband and I took our three adolescent boys to Portland for the weekend. Embassy Suites was only a fifteen minute drive into Portland's downtown. I should've known that we were in for a rough weekend when the kind lady at the front desk told us that there was a junior (ages 10-15) hockey tournament in town and there were numerous hockey teams staying at the hotel with their parents that weekend. We decided to stay at the hotel nevertheless, as we had nonrefundable reservations made 3 months in […] advance and also assumed that the hockey players parents and the hotel staff would ensure that the other guests wouldn't be terribly put out by their presence. We were dead wrong by that assumption. We spent the weekend in a room on the same floor as the young hockey players who didn't hesitate to practice and play hockey in the hallway outside our room all weekend. We heard hockey sticks and pucks hitting our walls all weekend, and the screaming and yelling out in the hallway was unbearable. I tried to ask the children myself to quiet down, but was told by the gangs of boys that I was a loser and that I should leave the hotel. I tried to find the parent's of the boys, but to no avail. I could not find any parent's or existance of any supervision of the young boys anywhere.. I assume the parents were all in the downstairs lounge. We couldn't even use the pool all weekend as it was filled to capacity with screaming boys. The hallways and public areas of the hotel became disgustingly littered with trash, wrappers, food crumbs, and our hallway became littered with wet bathingsuits and hockey equipment. We had a difficult time making it in and out of our room all weekend as we were surrounded by screaming and undisciplined boys calling us losers and yelling at us to leave. It was almost traumatic. Upon checking out, I expressed my dissappointment to the nice lady at the front desk, but was only offered her apologies and a free night stay as compensation, but after reading the free night coupon, I discovered that it expired at the end of the year, and had so many black out dates including all holiday weekends, and all of Uzziniet vairāk

Always a pleasure to stay here

This hotel is always the one we choose to stay in because of the friendliness of the staff and the hotel itself. It being close to the airport and shopping in New Hampshire

Very nice, clean, friendly hotel would stay again. The front end staff was amazing. The only down fall was house keeping was REALLY loud cleaning the rooms next door and down the hall. Had are infant daughter with us and just got her down when house keeping starting slamming doors and bottles around. But all in all would stay here again.

This was a very pleasant stay. We would go again. Very friendly and helpful front desk.

The staff is exemplary. I stay at this hotel anytime I have business in Maine. The beds are the most comfortable than any hotel ever! Pillows are awesome! I love having the separate living room to do my work and bedroom for sleep. The rooms are always well maintained, clean and everything in working order. I do not believe ever a time that I've stayed […] in which I've had a single complaint or concern. Also..the heating system is great. It's not like those loud powered wall units that you push down on the buttons...this one is controlled on the wall and it is "silent" when needing heat...you also can control the exact temp and each room temp. Very friendly staff. Liked having refrig and microwave in the room. Great breakfast! Only negative is the look of the hot tub, needs refinished. Not a big deal!

The Hotel chain is great, service great, cocktail hour and breakfast the best! But the hotel felt rundown. Rooms were cramped. Pool was not the cleanest, nor was the hottub. The couch in our room was actually ratty looking, the fabric fraying. It looked like a well loved hotel. But needs some freshening up, and maybe more staff to help keep it looking […] good. Was very happy with the size, comfort and cleanliness of the room. Very happy with the helpfulness and pleasantness of the staff. Great snacks while relaxing in the lobby during the managers reception. Wonderful full breakfast in the morning. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, soft plush towels and excellent water pressure in the shower

The Embassey Suites, as a whole, is a great hotel chain. The one in Portland, ME, however seems to always end up adding some charges onto the room without any notice. This year, they charged us for smoking in the room eveythough we had requested smoking rooms. In 2010, they charged us extra for another person in our room...i booked 5 rooms for family […] members, one moved to our room at the last minute. On both occassions, they reimbursed us the charge, however, I am surprised that a Hotel that is part of the Hilton chain seems to be to nickel and dime their guests. We loved this hotel. Only downside for us is that it was by the airport and we had to drive a bit to get into town. We will definitely go there again. Wonderful place!

My fiance and I have stayed at this particular hotel for 6 nights total on 3 different occasions. We. Have been overall pleased with the accomidations provided. A few complaints we had were the quality of the food served at the hotel, the location being a bit out of the way from the downtown tourism, and two times we stayed, under the couches were never […] vaccumed. I did notice on my way out this last stay, that it is a pet friendly hotel. I do not come across many decent hotels these days that accomidate my furry friends! What else more can I say? They offer a full, hot, made to order breakfast including a chef prepared omelette, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, potatoes and more every morning. AND, a happy hour with plentiful snacks and open bar every night for 2 hours. And it's not just for the "special guests." It's for everyone. Usually, these benfits are for "club level" […] guests at most hotels but not here! Amazing. 700 ywards from the airport so SUPER convenient as well. They gave me turn by turn directions to the Portland Head Light and everyone at the hotel was more than friendly, accommodating and gracious. I will be back. Great business hotel. Love everything about this hotel. But.... Was SOOOOOOO mad that the clock in the bedroom was wrong. I stared at the clock for 2 hours thinking it was 2 early to get up. In actuality it was wrong and I missed breakfast! :(

The rooms were very clean, the front desk staff was courteous and helpful. We stayed with two small children, and the layout of the room was great, having a seperate bedroom off the bathroom and living room area. We stayed four nights in a one bedroom suite, which was clean, comfortable, and though adjacent to the airport, extremely quiet. The sofa bed was very comfortable for our 13 year-old son & he loved the 37" flatscreen tv of "his own". And while there were two doors for the bathroom--one to the toilet/tub & one to close off the "living room"--we would […] have liked a door to close off the bedroom from the sink area. Opening the large closet door in the bedroom did shield a good deal of the light & gave some privacy when needed. Not a problem for a couple; but with three people it was a bit bothersome. Other than that, our stay was great. Nice full breakfast & the evening reception was so nice in the lovely lobby area with the giant fireplace. Convenient to highways & the Maine Mall. Very pleased with very helpful and friendly staff. Awesome Manager's reception each night and delicious hot buffet breakfast every morning. Room was very clean and modern. Definitely will stay here again.

Room had two safety issues. Bathroom door stuck shut potentially trapping occupant. GFI plug in bathroom was broken. Both issues were reported to desk clerk.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for one night and really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. the room was well layed out as well. We were in room 222 and the sitting area was separate and apart from teh bedroom. we also liked that the shower/toilet was separate from the sink/mirror. We were also […] impressed by the cocktail hour they had with refreshments from 530-7pm which was free of charge and the hot breakfast buffet in the morning which was included in our stay. the location was nice and close to the airport. we landed at 1.30am and within 10 mins of our call we were picked up and checked in. i would recommend this as a place to rest your head upon landing in portland.

Tied for the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Cannot recommend Embassy highly enough. Marc

Great Stay!!!! And about 5 minute drive from Downtown.

It wasn't the 11 PM fire alarm that was the problem. A patron on our floor accidentally broke a sprinkler and flooded several rooms. Clearly this was not the fault of the Embassy Suites. The problem was the 5:45 AM water extractor in the hallway -- think loud vacuum cleaner. The front desk staff put on their sympathy faces but really, shouldn't they […] have known what the extractor service was doing in their building at 5:45 AM? We loved staying at Embassy Suites! Our room was so much nicer and bigger than expected. The hotel staff was wonderful and helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was unbelievable and there was not one item left out! I have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels and not had a better breakfast and I had to pay for those. The staff at this hotel is fantastic. Kudos to the housekeeping department for helping us retrieve our lost Teddy Bear.

Great location, very clean and wonderful breakfast included.

Our suite was a bit cramped with 2 kids and 2 dogs but it was clean. Bathroom was small but adequate for the one night stay. We checked in just in time for the free mgr's reception (including alchohol) and the breakfast was great as well.
