We had a nice visit to Old Town Alexandria staying at this very comfortable and quiet hotel. Their afternoon snacks on the club level were a pleasant surprise for us after a long Friday. Our corner suite was well-appointed and clean with views of the masonic temple and the bridge. It was an easy walk to Trader Joe's, King Street restaurants, or the […] riverfront. The staff was friendly and helpful. We brought our bikes (there is a bike rack on the lower parking level) and checked out the local parks - rode over the Wilson Bridge. Hotel was close to DC area attractions. King St was a pleasant walk through the neighborhoods of Old Town. DC easy access from hotel.The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. I would stay at the Sheraton Suites again when in the DC area.

We have staye here a few times. We love the decor and comfort. French doors separating the bedroom from the sitting area add to the comfort. Pour only problem was the elevator from the parking garage was out of service. Not a huge problem,just a slight inconvenience. However,it seems that there is usually street parking. Room was very nice. Separate bedroom from living room is rare for the price. Both rooms have TV. Great location. One right turn onto GW parkway, 10 mins to DC. Also walking distance to Old Town riverfront. One elevator was out so the remaining one was frequently full. We had to take steps which snaked through long hallways used by employees. 10.95 a day for wi-fi which is free at most hotels is outrageous. Also, one of the two elevators was under repair for the duration. Two elevators for a 11 story hotel is insufficient; one is outrageous. You would think they would have staff on hand offering to carry bags up and down the stairs at checkout time. $20 a day for parking is a little high. […] When choosing among places to stay, evaluate the extra costs and check on the status of the elevators. Overall, very pleased with all aspects of hotel stay. Very pleasantly surprised that shuttle to nearby metro at airport and DC area ran so efficiently. Local access to restaurants and walking points was very good.

Very comfortable rooms, good bed, good AC. I rented two rooms for a bachelorette party, and others who called in could not confirm reservation with hotel. Also, hotel lost the names I had given them of friends who were coming early. They stayed at hotel bar/food area which seemed comfortable. Old Towne was beautiful, with some really great restaurants. Hotel is easily within walking distance from trains, and not a long ride into the city. It is also very close to the Regan Airport, but not easily accessible to Dulles (almost $80 cab ride, no shuttle to Dulles). The only downside was the fact that only one e;levator was in service while we were there, making the wait long. The rooms were beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable I;ve ever slept in at a hotel.

I guess the only good thing I could say was that they gave me free wifi for my stay, but that's the least I could expect really considering I was booked in for 12 nights on business. I stayed here for one night, just as getaway, had dinner and movies nearby. The suite was great; it was very clean and the view of the city was great, even on a foggy winter night. We ordered room service and the food was just ok. Well, that's putting it nicely. We both ordered the pankcake breakfast and the pancakes weren't done, and the sausage was […] cold on the inside. I did inform room service, and they brought replacement meals up and did not charge for the food which was great. The young lady servicing us was very apologetic and that made all the difference in the world as far as customer service goes. Parking is $20 a day, and you park in a garage. It can be tricky getting in and out, as you have to use your room key, which doesn't always work. You can call the front desk to be let in, but if you are getting back to the room in the wee hours of the morning, that could take some time; I actually had to call the hotel from my cell phone to let them know we needed to get into the parking garage. overall, the biggest issue with the hotel is that it was very understaffed. We were on the Sheraton club level and the services of the club level were largely not available presumably because the hotel has low occupancy around Christmas and New Year's and much of the staff is on vacation.

I stayed here to attend First Night Alexandria--New Year’s Eve. I have attended First Night several times and I've stayed at a different hotel each year, so I know what the hotels in the area are like. Pros: Lovely décor, friendly staff, close to town center. Cons: Construction next door. Room very small. I think they took a standard room, put up walls for a bedroom, and called it a suite. Other hotels have suites that are twice as large. No breakfast included. Coffee in room, but you have to pay for additional coffee packs. Overall it was a great stay. Check-in was simple and quick; Front desk was very efficient and friendly; restaurant had good service, ok food. Very clean and good upkeep. Location is great; on the outskirts of DC/Old Town (quiet) but close to everything.

Although the suites supposedly will sleep 4, I wouldn't recommend trying that, unless 2 of the persons are tiny children. The suites are very small. Good location, good value. Chose this hotel as a cheaper alternative to staying in DC. The hotel boasts proximity to the Metro. It is actually a shuttle that runs to the airport metro and only runs on the half hour. It's close enough to King Street (Old Town) but not close enough to walk with kids. We got a suite thinking we'd have two separate areas for the kids and us. They […] had the couch and while the doors to the bed area closed, they were clear french glass. Not any privacy. The room was so small, we were tripping all over each other. It was tiny like a NYC hotel. The "kitchen" was a college dorm style mini fridge and a microwave. That was the biggest let down. We chose the Club Lounge floor so we could get snacks, coffee and breakfast (really? No breakfast otherwise?!). Horrible. They didn't even offer milk or cream for the coffee! Breakfast was bagels and cold cereal. Very disappointing. When we asked at the front desk about activities, sights or navigating the transportation system, they were useless. The hotel's Sunday evening restaurant special (double-decker hamburger and fries for only $6.99) was fantastic and perfect for watching the Steelers cream the Ravens!
