The Lodge at Santa Fe — Santa Fe

Wifi was slow and restaraunt staff was rude. We went to eat an hour before tbhey closed and were told we are closing in an hour and bar was closed. Based on that we did not eat there during our four day stay.

was middle of the road for cleanliness but a good bargin. Would stay again.

we ended up not staying for the night....cemetery was just to close by and the place was EEERIE.....NOT A ROMANTIC GETAWAY AT ALL!!!! Our view was the Cemetery!! WILL NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!

At one time time this was a nice hotel. It is obvious that it is very tired looking and needs considerable updating.The restaurant food was too specific(texmex) and was not to our liking.

The bed was comfortable, but the room didn't have enough furniture. One chair at the table and one place for a suitcase. Rather baron. It was OK, not convenient to downtown but all in all a reasonable stay. Thanks.

Hotels.com did not provide the correct address of the hotel. We told the receptionist and she told us they are aware of the situations. Nothing very impressive and/or nothing bad to report.

the Lodge is a really nice hotel, we stayed in Santa Fe for three nights and the hotel was amazing, beautiful carpet and decorations, friendly staff, close to the central plaza, and live salsa music at the bar upstairs. the only downside was the toilet which was particularly loud when you flush and the slow internet speed in the business center. Excellent restaurant in hotel, great service there. Friendly staff and after the hairy drive in, in the snow, it was nice not to have to go back out for food!

I wasn't impressed with the front desk and the customer service. We'd called ahead for an early check in, when we arrived they told us it would be another 30-45min wait with no appology but offered my husband and I a room with 2 double beds in place of our king that was ready.... If you need to spend the night in Santa Fe, this is the place for you. Two reasons. 1. The price was just about right! 2. It is very accommodating: I.E. Bed, bathroom, shower, spacious, and comfortable.

My trip through Sante Fe was for personal business and just needed a place to sleep on the way through town. The price was right, but it was a bit off the freeway (about 5 miles). I would not mind staying there again, and hope to have time to explore the hotel in more depth as well as the surrounding area.

No iron, broken coffee maker and had to pay $5.00 for 2 cups of coffee. Overall, fair.

If you are looking for a room for your stay in Santa Fe then consider this hotel. Nothing fancy, just clean and comfortable. Very easy to get on and off of the main road leading north of Santa Fe to the Santa Fe Opera and other points north, this location offers a good vantage point of downtown plus easy access to downtown. The list of negatives, unfortunately, out weigh the positives: The t.v. was old and the reception was poor, the food quality was average at best, the front desk employees were not very welcoming, the towels were very frayed. On the upside, the location is convenient, the room was clean & the sunset from the bar is spectacular.

Stay here instead of Garettes Desert Inn. Beautifully decorated, nice view(s), homey, good sized room and comfortable bed. Good location, a few minutes from downtown, nice view on the hill and convenient access to the highway for surrounding attractions.

The shade on the window did not work. Someone showed up to fix it and didn't. He came back later and said he didn't have the right part to fix it. Coffeemaker did not work either. Hotel was in a good location and basically was attractive, but seems it needs better management.

First room I was assigned was not ready for occupancy but it was rapidly exchanged for a different one. The location is a bit hard to find in the dark.

The hotel was much nicer than I imagined. Staff was helpful. Definetely a great find for a last minute stay.

The Lodge is just ok. Outdated, small rooms, no refrigerator, small old tv (remote barely worked), uncomfortable bedding (didn't even have a fitted sheets), noisy in the mornings (heard maids vacuuming above), found empty carton of cigarettes and clothes underneath armchair that weren't ours, and the ice machine in completely different building. We checked in easily. We entered our room and it was cold, the window was open, and all of the lights with the exception of one lap were burnt out. We went back to the desk and were moved into a different room. The room was mostly clean but a little run down with mildew on the shower curtain. There is no room service or vending conveniently located, […] but a restaurant on site. THe next morning, the cleaning crew entered our room without knocking while we were still in bed. Parking lot was extremely icy, side door lock was broken, so management elected to keep door open and unsecured all stay. In addition, due to the lack of reservations, believe we could have been accommodated in a room closer to the lobby, away from the broken door and icy parking.

I imagine that this hotel was beautiful in it's day. However it is in need of a major facelift. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights. The restaurant food was the worst. We had a mexican meal where everything was indistinguishable. The meal was lifeless and bland (I suspect it all had been sitting on a warming tray for hours) except […] for the toooo tooo hot salsa. We were away for a month and we both agree this was the worst meal we had on our entire trip. The bar is nice and the wine selection is good however this room to is in need of a reno. This is the second time in 1 year we have stayed at the lodge, both times have been exceptional. The staff is friendly and there is always somebody at the front desk. The king bed rooms are fairly large with a nice desk and a sitting chair and plenty of room to walk around. The rooms are very quite without alot of noise from other rooms. The staff at check in as well as bar and resturante were both helpful as well as courtios and cheerful.

The Lodge was great! The service was great. The decor was very cool. The mattress was a sleep number, which was more than just a little comfortable. My hubby and I visited Santa Fe for our first wedding anniversary as he loves the mountains and I'd never been. We went to both Taos Ski Valley & Santa Fe. The views were breathtaking! Everytime we left […] our room in the morning we'd come back to an immaculately clean room. We left valuables in the room while we were gone and when we came back everything was still there. There's a restaurant in the hotel that we never had a chance to try, however, having one there would have made it convenient had we needed it. We had a great time on our visit and the clean, comfortable rooms and competent staff made our stay that much better! I will definitely stay there again and recommend others to do the same. The hotel is very comfortable and well kept. The rooms are spacious. It is not too far from the "tourist" area, about five minutes drive. The only bad side to this stay was the service at the hotel's reastaurant. The waitress mixed up some orders and completely forgot others. The Lodge of Santa Fe met all of our needs including an in house restaurant. Could not stay on Plaza because of enormous rates, so The Lodge fit well within our budget range. Peaceful and quiet - even had the fireplace burning with the aroma of pinon wood drifting thru the halls. Well worth the price to be so close to everything, especially the ski […] resort. The hotel was just ok. Room had a weird smell, bed wasn't comfortable. I think the rooms need to be renovated, they are just out of date. Front desk person was very nice and friendly but other than that it was just ok.

The Lodge was probably a wonderful hotel at one time, but the hotel is dated and in desperate need of updating. The public areas are tired and not maintained and the staff is lacking motivation to offer the little extras that might make a stay better. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The decor I loved! The rooms nice and warm. Only thing is I would have liked a microwave. The price you can not beat. Love, love and love.

First, I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. For instance, their shuttle wasn't running but they found a staff member to give us a ride to a restaurant. The Lodge is an older property but seems well maintained. It was a great value. But it appeared to be virtually empty. The bar and dining room […] were deserted, lobby fireplaces were cold and the entire atmosphere was almost spooky. The desk clerk said they just weren't very busy in the winter. It is located a good way from downtown, the plaza and Canyon Road, so you'll need a car, taxi or operating shuttle to take in the sights. We stayed at the lodge one night. It has a great location overlooking the city. It would have been nice to be closer to downtown. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was nice at checkin. We had our two dogs with us and they had a nice neighborhood to take a walk.
