Embassy Suites Syracuse — East Syracuse

It was a good getaway but one problem with the hotel room was that the carpet was wet when we arrived.

Room was ok, but there was a buzzing noise all the time from equipment, noise from the highway and from the big inside area where children where playing.

This hotel is probably great if you are trying to book a large group of people and need lots of space. But other Embassy Suites do that better. First, it's a pretty loud hotel, it feels like you're sleeping in a mall the way the sound bounces through the lobby. I had to close the inner bedroom door for quiet. There were teenagers having a party on the […] 2nd floor (I was on the 4th) and because of the open atrium you could hear them loud and clear. Hotel room was clean but has seen better days- worn wallpaper, cracked enamel in the tub, spots on the carpet. The bed was so uncomfortable. For the price per night you pay, you would think they could invest in better beds or at least toppers for the beds. There is no free internet either, which I did not know about. You have to pay $10/day to have internet access which is not convenient. For the happy hour, they require you to show a piece of paper and I don't know why my keycard for the room wasn't sufficient enough. I was in the pool before that so I of course did not have the paper, but did have my room key. Made me go back and get it. Had an excellent time at embassy suits Syracuse. Very clean, the bed very comfortable, very nice room with two flat screen tv's, managers reception was excellent and the complementary breakfast was very well presented and the food excellent and filling. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Nice clean room, the kids love the pool, breakfast should be till noon especially after the 2hr managers reception the night before...wow!!!! that bottom shelf booze makes for a rough morning...

Overall, our hotel stay was wonderful. The pool was warm, the happy hour was great, all of the amenities were great, and the surrounding restaurants to the hotel really made our night. My only complaints are the location of our room; it was right next to the thruway, making the night hard to sleep through without being woken up by the noise of traffic; […] and the fact that when we put our credit card on file, they failed to tell us of the $50 refundable deposit they charge you. I've stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are great with the convenience of having the sleeper sofa for the kids and a king bedroom for the adults. Managers reception is good for a few free drinks and snacks before heading out to eat. Buffet breakfast is always good in the morning. The only one complaint I have […] is that they say they no longer allow the kids to feed the Koi fish in the pond. This seems to be at the discretion of whom ever is at the front desk. the hotel itself was nice. It needs updating, like the carpeting was dirty, and the furniture was in need of work. It was very noisy, kids were running all over the place, up and down the stairs in the middle of the night. Other than that it was fine.

This hotel was conveniently located. The room was just perfect. Clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was great it had a great variety of food. We ate at the hotel the first night and actually impressed by the quality and the price. When I stay in Syracuse again I will definitely stay there. I have no complaints at all. Hotel is pretty good, probably one of the better hotel in the area, we had one incident, room not made at 6h00pm and had to argue with reception to get someone to come and clean it, and the rooms that are on the highway sideare really noisy. For the rest, it is fine, great breakfast, good service in the restaurant.

While this hotel is on the pricey side, we were able to get fantastic discounts on Hotels.com! Our family stayed here for two weeks. The perks are great..free made to order breakfast, free drinks (non-alcoholic as well), pool (open late), gym, room service, suites with two rooms and pull out bed, fridge and microwave. There were only a few things […] that we didn't like, such as having to pay for internet, key cards rarely worked well, housekeeping took FOREVER, and hotel rules changed daily..... Good breakfast. Would have liked to have in-room movies available to purchase. Mattress was old and saggy. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hotel. Also, we appreciated their strict enforcement of a 9 pm curfew for all the young guests.

I stayed here with my two small children for a little staycation while they were on winter break. The rooms are very large and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the furnishings are nice. The managers reception and full continental breakfast are also a very nice feature. That being said I think some areas of the hotel could use a little TLC. My […] room had some peeling wallpaper and the pool facilities needed a good cleaning, as I saw lots of small debri in the pool/ whirlpool including clumps of hair. I felt that they also used a little too much chlorine because it had a very strong chlorine smell and it was very drying to our skin. Other than that our overall experience was very good. Elevators did not work, and had to walk up to the 4th floor with my elderly mother. Pool to crowded for my children to swim, which is why we choose this hotel. Jacuzi and ladies bathroom by the pool closed. Not enough seating in the lobby. Would not recommend this embassy suites!!

Outstanding hotel , excellent service & enjoyed dinner & happy hour offers. Clean & neat room.

Having stayed at numerous Embassy Suites before, my wife and I were surprised to discover one elevator totally out of service and the only other elevator partially operational. Also, having been told prior to booking the room, that in fact the pool and jacuzzi were operational, only to discover that the jacuzzi has been out of service the past few days, […] again was a disapointment. Managers party and made to order breakfast were fine, but given the fact that it was school break week and thus numerous families were also there, they could have used some additional staff. All in all, the room was fine, but the atmosphere and comments from the other guests confirmed what we had also thought, that this Embassy Suites wasn't all that "sweet". Hotel cannot accommodate the capacity - no room to sit in the lobby, jacuzzi tub and women's bathroom closed - very dissapointing! Booked three rooms together but they turned out to be not be next to each other. Too many hotels in the area to return to this one. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable.

Nice stay. Staff was great. Breakfast was awsome, really one of my deciding factors for staying here every year. Plus convienent location to Carrier Dome. Good value for price. 2 TVs in room are really nice. Kids can play video games and we can watch tv in other room.

very nice hotel,but we experienced some kids banging on doors,throwing pizza boxes at our door at 10pm where are the parents? well we noticed alot of people bringing in cases beer,wine boxes etc. look I love having a great time at any hotel. parents WATCH you're KIDS!!!!!!!

Recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Syracuse. It was an adventure to say the least. Everything seemed pretty nice and most of the problems were beyond the management control such as the hundreds of unsupervised kids running all over the place. The few things they could have controlled was how often the elevator broke... got stuck in it 3 times, […] and the overall condition of the room. The rooms was nice with the exception of acouple flaws such as neglect of cleaning the shower and the peeling wall paper on the walls. Everything was conveniently located near the hotel and once in the room everything was peaceful. Other than the few minor things, it was worth the money and the Trip from Western New York. For the mony, fine. Manager's wine & beer reception ok fr. 530-730. Breakfast ok too.. The whirlpool broke down, and they gave me an unacceptable 6000 pts. compensation. THe property is tired with stained rugs and peeling wallpaper. Good for families, not a romantic eve! Stay away from "Thruway side" of hotel if you are a light sleeper.

The hotel was good for the price, but is definitely starting to show it's age. The atrium is not as robust as I remember during a previous stay. The buffet breatfast was good; with quite a variety. The pull-out sleeper sofa was terrible.

it was nice place, very family/kids friendly. During our stay they were running low on swimming pool towels but they quickly addressed the issue and ordered more.

We decided to hold my daughter's 13th birhtday party at the hotel and it was a huge success. The girls got to swim, have snacks at the manager's reception, and enjoy pizza and chicken tenders that were delicious. After doing some research, the Embassy Suites Hotel came out on top (Double Tree a close second). The hotel layout and breakfast selection made for an enjoyable stay. The pool and hot tub were not as clean as they could have been but everything else was as good as can be. I give it 4.5 stars out of five.

We stayed up ther for a little family getaway for a night. My 3 year old LOVED the Koi pond. It was a very nice hotel. Our only problem was the beds...we prefer soft matresses and the ones they have are so hard neither my husband or I got any sleep at all, which is not good when you have a long drive home. We stayed Sat and Sunday nites, visiting Syracuse to check out the University. We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be comfortable and convenient. The lobby was impressive and in fact reminded us of the lobby of a cruise ship! Koi pond in lobby a nice touch of nature. Breakfast with made-to-order omelettes very good. We booked for a room for a single night stay last week. We enjoyed the hotel so much, we ended up changing our plans and staying an extra day. The staff seemed genuinely interested in doing anything possible to make you stay more enjoyable, the food was good and the price was reasonable. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Embassy Suites in Syracuse is a nice, comfortable place to stay. We were just traveling through on a baseball tour and wanted to see the Syracuse Chiefs. Hotel is not walking distance to anything but very easy ride to everything in area. Rooms are quite large and comfortable, and definitely clean. I asked about the internet service and was told there was a per day charge, but I was given a complimentary pass. The internet service is unacceptably slow. I would have been quite upset if I had actually had to pay extra for it. It was almost to slow to even check email. What a nice surprise to see the room refresh. The bed, pilows, linens and even living room furniture had all been upgraded. Add their wonderful hot breakfast, and this makes the hotel a great place to stay.

We only stayed one night in this hotel, but were impressed with the accommodations. Our suite was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was impressive. The atrium/ courtyard/lobby was beautiful, more like an exterior garden than the interior of a building. There was a fire alarm going off when we arrived and they were unable […] to check us in until the fire department had checked the building. As we had plans for the evening we were unable to wait and returned later. Check-in was quick and easy the second time, and the staff were apologetic and explained the reason for the earlier alarm. We had Friday reservations and there was a Family reunion in the hotel the same night. The lobby was extremely loud. There were large groups of smokers right by the lobby doors and under my hotel window. The parking lot was full of loud guests and music until around midnight. When we called the front desk they acted as if we were the problem. At breakfast […] people were throwing food on the floor and walking on it while the staff ignored it. Had an great couple of nights stay at the Embassy Suites. Great room, nice and clean. Definitely stay here again.

It was close to bowling arena and airport. Saturday nigjht was rather noisy due to a wedding and a bunch of kids. Breakfast was okay. Chairs in happy hour/breakfast area are too large for the tables. Was very cramped on Saturday with all those people.

Upon entering the hotel the lobby is beautiful. When we got to our room it looked like the bed was made from the previous user. The sheets were dirty and all wrinkled. The wall paper was coming off all the way around the room. We were placed in another room, same problem with the wall paper. The bed was comfortable but the noise from the thru-way was […] terrible. We went to the front desk in the morning and there was a trainee alone at the desk. She was on the phone and never even looked to acknowledge us. No one else was around. When we checked out the next day the only thing we heard was sorry and that basically it was our fault for not calling maintenance at midnight. This hotel had the nice touch by having a free breakfast. The choice was excellent between fried or scrambled eggs,coffee was very good,bacon,sausage etc. Also the free bar for two hours was very welcomed after spending the day shopping. I will go back to this hotel the next time I go back to Syracuse N.Y

Hotel is located next to the interstate. Thought the traffic noise would bother us, but that was not a problem. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel staff was courteous.

We took our grandchildren for a swimming overnight and had a great time!! The price was right considering it included a full breakfast and the manager's Happy Hour for 3 adults and 2 children. The service was excellent - the staff friendly and helpful - delivered 6 extra towels and checked on a tv as soon as we called, the manager ordered a pizza to […] be delivered to us by the pool, and everyone was polite and smiled!!
