The Avalon staff was terrific. The rooms are acceptable for an old building-not overly large or luxorious but clean with a comfortable bed. My issue was with South Beach. Parking is a nightmare. Right across from the beach on Ocean and in the heart of the historical art deco district. With so much to do right there, we rarely use our car for the 3 days we stay. The valet parking young men were very polite, even though we did not use the service. Before check-in we had concern about the noise from Ocean Drive, but even our room was close to the street, we had good night […] sleep during our stay. It provides complimentary breakfast buffet. Croissants were delicious. However, bathroom does not have ventilation. After a shower, the mirror becomes foggy and the floor is wet. The free Wi-Fi is slow. This hotel was perfect for our vacation needs. We started off with complimentary breakfast which had good choices so we were definitely satisfied. Our room was a great size and very comfortable. The hotel was very accomadating for holding our luggage and giving us towels for the beach across the street. The location was incredible! "Close to everything!!"
I have been to Miami a few times but never stay on Ocean Drive. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. Room was small but its Miami no one stays in the room anywhere. If you are a light sleeper, dont get a room on the first floor. You can hear everything outside your window.Patiesa Hotels.com viesa atsauksme
