We had room mixups and it was hard to check in the evening (staff wasn't at the desk ). The wifi only worked in the lobby. Finally, our room was missing a phone. It is a great location close to stateline/heavenly gondola.

Real close to gondola and some restaurants. Walking distance to casinos and clubs. Great for price and location. Only bad thing: paper thin walls! You hear everything.

Perfect ski/snowboard hotel for friends or family, would not recommend for a romantic get away but defiantly for a fun weekend with your siblings/family or friends. Very clean, excellent service, perfect location and fantastic trip thanks 968 park hotel and staff.

Gondola is walking distance ( 5min or 200 yards) . Also walking distance to the restaurants , bars and ice skating rink of Heavenly village. Located across the stress from major grocery store strip mall. The hotel itself is nice. The corridors are old but the rooms have been nicely updated with reclaimed wood . The bed and bedding are nice and so are […] the pillows. The internet is slow but it is free. They serve pound cake like slices, coffee and tea starting at 7 am for breakfast which is convenient. The room comes with 2 free drinks at the small cosy bar next to the lobby. The bar also has a big screen TV. It is comfortable, friendly and has nice big windows to the outside. If you are facing the lake, you 'd better have a room on the 3rd floor because the 2nd floor is not high enough to clear the trees and houses. the hotel also has a sauna and hot tub but the hot tub is inside. The 968 Park Hotel was not a bad hotel. It was comfortable and the location was awesome but for the price we payed there is better hotels out there. I just got back from a week at Tahoe and I would strongly recommend staying at the Basecamp hotel instead of 968 Park Hotel. 968 Park Hotel's breakfast consisted of a few slices of sweet bread coffee and […] orange juice, and the rooms were also smaller compared to Basecamp. Nice hotel. They have radiant heating system, which is perfect since it is completely silent. Hotel also has indoor hot tub and sauna, ideal for relaxation after long day of skiing.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. This is the best hotel in South Lake. They are green and earth friendly, nice to be a part of keeping Tahoe blue. The rooms are minimal, but very comfortable and clean. No bed bugs here. Very nice in all respects, especially location -- incredibly convenient to Heavenly, shopping/dining and the casinos, but without the downside of being directly on busy/noisy Hwy 50. Good value for the money.

Location was very good being about a block from the Gondola. Staff was very nice and helpful. However, the hotel was dark everywhere, rooms were small, and basic amenities like blankets were not to be found.

The "free" wi-fi and breakfast were too expensive for what you get. The mattresses were not comfortable. The rooms were very noisy.

Can't beat the location for skiing at Heavenly. Pleasant room with really comfy bed. Staff was cool, friendly. Lobby seating and bar area was great, and welcoming to hang out in. Good thing because the wi-fi works in the lobby only. I overheard several other guests also unsatisfied about the wi-fi situation. Bathroom was pretty tiny. And the hot water […] can take minutes to kick in midweek when hotel had low occupancy. Room lacked mini-fridge and microwave and it's a health-code violation, apparently, to use their microwave. That was inconvenient. Especially since there's no real breakfast included so its one more stop in the morning before hitting the slopes. Nobody maintains the parking lot so it's a total ice field. Not recommended for anybody old, disabled or injured! It was kinda ridiculous. My low service rating was not for the staff - I liked them - it was the other stuff I mentioned. I think I'd rather stay across or down the street somewhere with in-room amenities and breakfast even if it was a shabbier motel. And then just pop over to this place for drinks! Uzziniet vairāk

The only thing I would suggest is to have more information in the room about local dining and also have coffee available all day. Otherwise, very nice staff and love the beds and the radiant heat.

What a great place to stay for our ski weekend! The hot tub was delicious after being on the slopes all day, and it was great to have a massage right there on site to soothe my tired muscles. The staff was courteous and attentive. Will stay at the Park again!

Overall, good experience. However upon checkout the desk clerk took her time to acknowledge me though I was standing right in front if her for nearly 2 minutes. More disturbing was that she refused to print out my final bill. Though I know that I booked through Expedia, (room rate suppressed) I wanted to see if I had any incidentals and to make sure […] the bill dates were accurate (we had to depart early due to a family emergency). She copped a negative attitude when I insisted...I departed with no bill. Hopefully there are no erroneous charges. I know as an experienced traveler, that she could print the bill and suppress the nightly (Expedia) rate. The lack of training and poor display of hospitality soured my otherwise nice stay. over all the hotel was great, the location, the staff, great. The things I would avoid: 1) do not stay at the end of the hall by the outside door. Very nosy., door kept slamming all night and day 2) Only stay on the 3rd floor. felt like the person above me was coming through the ceiling.

Overall quality itsnt cost that much how they are asking. Wireless internet is very slow. Weird room design - it's looks like "village style", but still looks pretty strange for me.

Room and location is good. Rooms are kept clean, but are pretty noisy. Service at counter was good, but disappointing was the so-called breakfast: coffee, and thee yes, but 3 mornings in a row they ran out of orange juice and blueberry muffin-bread, so there was NOTHING for the kids!

Amazing beds and pillows...beyond beyond...and I'm a snob. Its all green which is amazing but missed better air in the room, no way to keep fan on without lights on...a bit annoying and no place really to put toiletries...but overall....i'd stay there in a heartbeat!

The room was a good size, plenty of space for 2. If all rooms are similar size, they would be too small for more than 2-3 people - only 2 chairs and a small table in each room. The bathroom was very small but clean. The hot tub wasn't in service at all, which was disappointing and not noted on their website. The pool was ok, but not really heated and […] not skimmed very often (little pieces of plants and trees all over the surface). There's a small bar where hotel employees will pour you one of three New Belgium beers, $2.50 during happy hour or $5 other times. The biggest problem was the room temperature. It was very hot in the room, even with the fans on (2 fans in the room). The outside temp was not so hot during the day (low 80s) and cooled off considerably at night (50s), but the room was HOT at night, probably high 70s all night, every night. The air flow is very poor unless you open your door straight to the hallway. Also, the "big" fan has a short cord that does not reach the window - kind of useless. We enjoyed our room. It was close to the center of where we wanted to be. the only down fall was that there was no AC unit or at least a fan in the room. It can get a little warm in the room if you go on hot days.

Our family just needed a place to crash before heading to zipline at Kirkwood. While the rate was ok and the beds comfy, the room was too hot!!!! The hallway and outside we're cooler than the room. Nice hotel and clean room, comfortable beds, but no AC. The day was very hot, so the night was miserable, with none of us able to sleep, even with the windows open (which only provided the hope of cool air but not the reality). Not a good destination during summer, though I would imagine no problems during winter.

I spent three nights here and loved it. If I'm back in the Tahoe area I will stay here and recommend this place to friends. As a woman traveling by myself I felt safe. I was expecting this to be an upscale hotel from the pictures and description posted. What it was is a very old cinder block building, with rooms renovated, but no air and very hot. The hallways are very old and dark (not renovated). It is in a strange location, not near the Gondola as depicted, but across the street and down amongst some houses. The room is nice, the people who work there are great, and the bed is comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and attractive. Free wi-fi is good. Unfortunately, it gets very hot in the room. There is no air conditioning, and my room had only one smallish window. Most of the window cannot be opened, and there's no other way to get outside air in there, […] so it never really cools off after a warm day. Also, there's traffic noise. They need to put in some kind of windows or vents over the doors, so that outside air can circulate through. There was one fan that was loud and sounded like a WWII bomber, but was basically useless. The 968 Park hotel is a concept hotel that needs a lot of tweaking. They're positioning themselves as an ecologically sensitive hotel, but the experience of it is less than satisfying. The hotel was originally a Super 8 motel and it shows in the layout and size of the rooms. The rooms were very hot in July during our stay and without air conditioning […] it stayed that way throughout the night. The toilet backed up and when I called the front desk they simply dropped off a plunger. The telephone in the room could not call the front desk, you had to use a cell phone. The hallway outside the room was extremely dark owing to the "tread lightly" philosophy of the establishment. On the other hand the room was just shy of immaculate and the location is nice.
