Even with reservations the only room they had was handicapped. Te bathroom floor had hair on it and there was splattered toothpaste and white specks all around the bathroom mirror and wall. Overall great experience except for the late checkout request. We requested a late checkout and the staff kept banging on the door. Stayed here for three nights over a weekend. This hotel has been redone since I was here last. Rooms are clean w modern decor. Hallway & rooms all smelled a bit damp but this tends to be common in all hotels there due to lots of rain. Breakfast: good food, very efficient & polite service. A nice property with a few glitches. Woke up one morning (6:30a) to no hot water. Cold shower ... BRR. Staff was apologetic, and provided a free dinner to compensate for the issue. "Would definitely stay there again!"
Everything was wonderful. The only glitch we had was trying to get our room keys to work. It took 3 trips to the front desk to get one that would work. Another guest passing by commented they had the same issue. After the third try we were told not to put our cell phones near the keys because it would deactivate it. Two sets of the keys were not put […] near our cell phones, but we still had the problem. The staff was very attentive in trying to fix the problem. Love the room design.
