Friendly Staff Good Breakfast Choices Great Location
It was okay - very 'economy' which is what we paid for, I guess. The curtains in our room and the room next to it were a mess - hanging off the rods and not in working order. They need to be fixed. The lady at the front desk was far from being friendly.
It was ok. Not spectacular, definetely a last resort kind of stay

"Good location"
Located center of town. Clean room, good price for what you get.
Carpets were filthy, tub and sheets had long, dark hairs on them before use. SLiding door blinds kept falling off. Hair dryer didn't work.

"Good hotel for the price."
Breakfast was a little sparse. Did have waffles though. Romm was OK but we could hear the folks above us as they moved around their room. Other than that it was an OK stay. Would stay there again.

Room was fine. Nice, large size. The heater didn't work well in the room and was very noisy. The hot tub was closed/locked at 9:30 even though the sign said "hours: 11:00 am - 10:00 pm."
"Pretty Good Place"
This wasn't too bad of a motel to stay in. It was clean and the people that worked there were really nice. My family and I had no complaints about it. Everything was in good working order. There was plenty to do close by the motel that was in walking distance. Highly recommend.

I found the hotel nicely located,clean and comfortable. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. To top it all the price was really low . I think its a great pick for someone looking for a stay for a few days.

Hotel was not the best. The rooms were a bit run down and old. The internet was very slow, almost unbarable. Continental breakfast was toast. I guess you get what you pay for.

This hotel DOES NOT allow dogs. They need to re-list this hotel as a non-dog friendly hotel. I booked this hotel and made a note that I had two dogs and would need a dog friendly room. Their policy states they allow dogs so I booked it. I called directly to hotel the day prior to arrival to confirm that they allowed dogs and I would have a dog friendly […] room. The nice lady at the front desk confirmed that they allow dogs and they would have a dog friendly room. Upon arrival the front desk employee informed us they did NOT want our reservation and to try next door. I informed her this was pre-paid and I had confirmed my reservation. "AS ADVERTIZED"
GOOD FOR THE MONEY WILL TRY TO STAY THERE NEXT YEAR
Room number 211, corner, was a great location. I even had a good parking space, corner space, right by the stairs. Normal hotel nothing fancy..arrived at 7 pm ..stayed until 9 am....so it was just a place to sleep and not be drowsy to drive..

Comfortable, clean, friendly service, nice and safe neighbourhood, and continental breakfast was a plus.

For the price this was a comfortable hotel centrally located for our activities. They did however never empty a garbage outside which was overflowing and we opted out of the breakfast, not much to chose from :).
"Econo Lodge in St. George - big disappointment"
The only things good about the room was the sheets were clean and the sink had been upgraded. The toilet was so loose I thought It might total come apart and the room was filthy

- screens falling off windows - walls were all dirty - bugs in beds - air conditioning was a joke - staff not helpful - complained to comfort suites they are addressing the situation - unacceptable conditions!

I would have expected a better quality of hotel. There were hotels in the area less expensive and better quality. The room wasn't completely cleaned, it was hard to understand the hotel registration staff (English wan't their first language) and when we went for breakfast at 0800 they were out of almost everything (served from 0700-1000). "St George Econo Lodge"
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and pleasant rooms. A great, affordable stopping place form which to visit the Canyons (Grand, Bryce, Zion).

The hotel was great. The only thing that bothered me was the drain on the tub wouldnt go up so i had to use a wash cloth to stop the drain up so my kids could take a bath. I called the front desk and no one could help me fix the drain...and the hot and cold were backwards so i was waiting a while for hot water when i shouldve just turned the knob the […] opposite way. "Second time at the Econo Lodge."
The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. The continental breakfast got me through the morning and the pool and hot tub was a great way to finish off the night. For the price it was a great value and I would stay there again.
Cheap and great! The location makes it easy to walk to local restaurants and the park. Great pool/hot tub for kids! My kids especially loved making their own waffles in the morning.

I have stayed here twice, once in 2008, and once in 2011, and I must say that it is a very great place for the price. The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and spacious, and we felt very comfortable here. The only drawbacks were that the blowdryer in my room didn't work, and, the beds were not extremely soft, but they weren't that bad […] either. "Close but not Comfortable"
Not as nice as the pictures made it seem. We found a roach in the bedroom and hair in the bathtub when we arrived. We asked for a refund and the manager was pretty put out and said he would have to charge us a fee because he could have sold our room when they were booked, even though he had offered us a different room in hopes to keep us from cance […] ling. "Good value and location"
I was in town for Ironman St. George. This hotel is close enough to the center of town to be convenient as a home base for spectators and participants. There are plenty of services (food, drugstore, liquor store, etc.) nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly. "Filthy"
In town for funeral - had 4 rooms with our party. 3 of the rooms were OK at best. Since we had a pet, our room was away from the others. Our original room was absolutely filthy when we walked in. We called to see if we could change rooms and was told by the front counter lady that none were available. We got some wipes out of our car in order to wipe […] down the bathroom area (sink and toilet dirty). Our carpet looked black because it appeared that it had never been steamed cleaned (had to walk around in shoes). In addition, the T.V. remote did not work (had to get up to power on and off and change channels), the vertical blind opener was missing, so we couldn't open the blinds and the light over the bathroom sink took about 15 minutes to warm up and turn on. The next day was the funeral and we arrived back and called the front desk lady to see if they had another room for us. She said that she didn't think that we wanted another room because we didn't call in the morning. We explained that we had been at a funeral all day and that she knew that we wanted a different room based on the conversation that we had the prior night. We found this unexceptable and she said bluntly to us that we could go find another hotel. We didn't want to move, so she finely offered us another room which she could have done without upsetting us first. The lady that we dealt on three or four different instances had no business working as a customer service agent. She has no clue how to make a quest feel comfortable. Also, the continental breakfast had poor tasting food and very limited offering. I would not recommend even if the price is right. It started with a very cheerful staff and attended to very kindly. This is not a 5 star hotel/motel but very convienient and worth what we paid. No noise issue although we went during spring break, -a great place for the value. "Econolodge St. George--Great Price, Great Location"
Rooms were nice, walls were dirty, obviously an older, 2 star motel. Continental breakfast was a good effort by the staff. The swimming pool was nice BUT COLD. It says heated, but it wasn't heated the the point that our kids could really enjoy it. However, in July or August, it would feel great, I'm sure. We went in April. The hot tub was very hot (too […] hot for kids), so the kids had to jump from hot tub to pool til they were shivering and back to hot tub. Excellent location, right near fabulous restaurants, and many things to do. For the price, it was tolerable. We LOVED that the rooms had mini fridges and microwaves. Extremely average hotel in a good location in St. George. That said, you are paying $15 extra dollars for the Econo Lodge franchise, and I am not real sure the Econo Lodge franchise logo on your building should be worth anything. In other words, there are plenty of local hotels for less all over the place with a walk in rate that is cheaper than here. "Very Basic But Clean"
This is a very basic hotel room. If you want something cheap for a night or two this will work fine. The room was clean and everything worked fine. The heating/ac was comfortable and relatively quiet. The beds were acceptable also. The exterior design is dated but, again, clean. I did not try the pool but it looked fine also.
The hotel is clean. The office personnel could use customer service classes. Getting in to the parking lot is a pain. If coming from the 15 fwy, you have to U turn at the light (not legal) to get into the tight parking lot. We only stayed one night. Price, location and neighborhood I would recommend. "You get what you pay for."
This is a cheap hotel. Don't expect to be swept off your feet by the accommodations or the service. The continental breakfast was enough to get you started for the day. If you want something more substantial, The Fairway is right next to the hotel. Cheap hotels are cheap for a reason. It was across the street from Cafe Rio...which was a plus.
