"Good for sleeping; no restaurant to speak of"
This is more like a Holiday Inn Express than a Holiday Inn. There is no restaurant to speak of, just a breakfast menu, served by an overworked waitress who has to do room service and wait tables at the same time. However, hotel is conveniently located to downtown, the racetrack and the mall, all of them if you have a car. The bed was very comfortable […] and "maid" service left absolutely no complaints. "Careful of the Incidentals!"
Overall the hotel was clean and the people were hospitable. However, there was a $10 charge for incidentals that I still don't know what they charged me for. I can only guess that it was the one coffee packet I used in my room. The other negative is that there was no continental breakfast - not even a coffee pot.

The Hotel and the staff were very nice. I just wish that when I got up to take a nice hot showere that I had some hot water to take it with. :(
MOST COMFORTABLE BED I EVER SLEPT JIN
toilet to close to shower and installed crooked in all rooms engineering mistake that cannot be corrected. Pillows to small for a king size bed. A/C unit smelled of mold never been cleaned. Hotel smelled musty in halls

"The Holiday Inn in Dover, DE"
We just loved the Hotel! It was very close to Dover Downs Casino. The bed was very comfy and the room clean and well maintained except for the slight noise of the air conditioner. Great experience.
Good hotel in a convenient area. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
"Hotel in Dover, Delaware"
Room was very nice - appeared to be recently renovated - beds were extremely comfortable. Did not have time to take a swim but pool looked very clean and inviting. Bath towels were not stocked -had to order more. We ordered room service for breakfast and order came but was not complete. Overall, hotel was very nice - would stay there again.

"Hire more people"
The only real problem I have is that it took way too long to be checked in. The individual at the service desk was visibly flustered. There were many people all checking in at the same time, but it was 4 PM on a Saturday and they probably could have used one additional person behind the desk. Other than that everything was great.

"MUST READ! Not a normal Holiday Inn!!!"
I wanted to write a note about my recent stay at Holiday Inn, 561 N Dupont Hwy, Dover, Delaware. We booked the room on Hotels.com as we were driving down the road, so we only had the pictures, which seemed nice enough, as our judgement on the condition of the hotel. Upon our arrival around 9:30 PM, we unloaded our luggage and proceeded to check-in. […] We were directed to a different Holiday Inn .5 miles down the street by the lady at the front desk, Fannie. On our drive we realized that it was 2.5 miles down the street and upon our arrival and after 15 minutes discussion with the clerk there, we realized that our reservation was indeed at the Holiday Inn we had just left. So, we loaded all of our luggage back in the car and headed back toward the hotel we had been rejected at. When we arrived, you could tell the girl was not remorseful or apologetic that she had just sent us packing to another hotel late at night after we had been driving from South Carolina. In fact, she left the front desk and let another girl check us in once she saw we were obviously at the correct hotel. We took a smoking room as it was the last available room. On our long walk to the elevator, we realized that the hotel at one time must have been another hotel and that lots of money had been spent on an addition to the front. We got in the elevator which clearly was not part of the money that was spent on the renovations to the front portion of the hotel. I was surprised that we were actually in a Holiday Inn at that point and realized that pictures are deceiving! When we opened the door to our room, I almost cried at the sight of how nasty and outdated it was. I stood at the door and begged not to stay there. My boyfriend said that we have been on a wild goose chase and we had a long drive that day and another early in the morning. Reluctantly, I gave in and sat my luggage down on the wooden dresser so that it did not have to touch the 1970’s bacteria infested carpet and threw on flip flops so Uzziniet vairāk

Very friendly staff. Great place
Booked a non-smoking room for a NASCAR race weekend and when I checked in they initially told me that all they had available was a smoking room. After inspecting the room I told them there was no way I was putting my family in the smoking room. At that time they began placing the booking error on Hotels.com, telling me that booking rooms via their service […] doesnt ensure those optons (non-smoking room) are available. After a lengthy discussion about the lack of rooms available nearby because of the race event over the weekend--surprise, they had a non-smoking room available after all. Then they proceeded to tell me that the only reason they were moving my room to the one I originally booked was because I had children staying in the room. Uzziniet vairāk
"Convenient to Dover Speedway"
Hotel was terrific. Only issue was the front receptionist. I found her rude and unhelpful. She made me feel like I was bothering her. I returned later to talk to someone else and the next receptionist couln't have been nicer or more helpful.

"Very nice"
It's a very nice hotel with a bar in the facility. It's a great location in the middle close to the slots and the mall and other wonderful restaraunts. The people are friendly and the service is wonderful. The room was clean and neat as well. The only thing I don't recommend is to have breakfast at the hotel restaraunt its not the best meal I've ever […] had. But other wise nothing but a positive experience for my friends and I. "Dover Holidan Inn"
Hotel is in a great location, the building from the outside looks good, but you can tell it's kinda old on the inside. Rooms were well furnished. Contemporary furniture including an LCD tv. The only bad thing was the elevators weren't very clean and need to be updated.

"Great Place"
My entire family stayed here. The place is very nice and we checked in at 1am and the staff was great!! Very accomodating and helpful. I will stay there again. The pool was too dirty but everything else was modern, new and very comfortable!!!
