"HI Express Vernon"
Decent hotel for the money for the area. O.K. breakfast and coffee. Very loud slamming doors all night made for BAD sleeping conditions. Thin walls, you will hear the conversation next door.
"Convenient"
Nearly the closest hotel to UConn, this hotel filled our needs for a quick, close overnight stay. Everyone was friendly, and the desk was generous with late checkout. The person staffing the breakfast buffet was helpful with specific needs. In addition, the hotel is right next door to a very good Italian restaurant and a good Polish bakery!

"Wayne was great"
We knew we would be arriving late and phoned the Holiday Inn to be sure our reservations would be held. Wayne was most cooperative. We did not arrive until after 10:00 PM and he was extremely pleasant in welcoming us. My wife likes milk in her morning coffee and he even gave us a container to take to the room. "Easy Off Easy On"
84 drops you off right at this Holiday Inn Express. Doesn't get any easier than that. We've stayed here a few years back while traveling through the area and it's obvious they have renovated the baths and rooms. Rooms are big and bath is first rate. Complimentary breakfast is surprisingly good and eliminated the need to find a place to eat before we […] headed out. Had a great nights sleep once the kids on the second floor stopped playing "Bowling for Dollars" and the door slamming up and down the hall. Holiday Inn can't do much to control some guests, but they could do something about the heavy doors slamming. We'd stay here again. It's a nice Holiday Inn and convenient to the highway. "Dissappointed"
The room was dissappointing. The hotel overall was too. It had the feel of an old motel. The lobby was cramped and slightly dirty and the hallways were pretty dingy. The lighting in the place makes it seem dirty. My room had 5 lamps in it, so that should give you an idea of how dingy it was. Not like the open/airy feel of many of the newer hotels. The […] room had a slight odor too it, but not obnoxious. I couldnt tell what it was, but it was there. A slight musty smell. The bed was, however, very comfortable and I was impressed with the water pressure in the shower. Speaking of the shower, there was a rubber anti-slip mat in there that was dirty. It was glued in so I could not take it out and had to live with it. The walls are super thin and if I turned down the TV, I could hear my neighbor's phone converastion clearly. I was also able to hear the footsteps in the room above very clearly. There appears to be some renovation going on, so hopefully my room had not been done yet. This was my first stay at this hotel since my normal hotel in this area was booked. I'm here on a very regular basis but wont be staying at this hotel on any additional trips. Uzziniet vairāk

"One night stay"
Its a dated hotel. Ready for an updating anytime. The place is fine but not a place your would want to stay in longer than a weekend.

The hotel halls and lobby were not clean. There were beer bottles along the hall way on the second floor. The carpeting looked like it had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The room was ok. "Clean and good value for the money"
everything is what i expected with a Holiday Inn Express...there was only two things that could be improved...there was a smell in the hallway on the first floor...it was sourred onions like a really bad body odor ...it was not noticed in the room...the other thing is the toilet paper...it was like wiping with 20 grit sand paper...i found that it physically […] hurt to wipe with it....besides the John Wayne paper and the rancid body odor in the hallway...the hotel was very comfortable and clean and the beds and pillows were extremely fresh, inviting, and comfortable. The desk staff were very friendly and the breakfast was just ok...eggs and bacon and such...not really great but almost as good as a local fast food would serve. There was a bar that was fun across the road...and it is one block away from shopping..marshalls, home goods, radio shack, office depot, and such..and there is a superb Itallian restaurant next door...Amazing food and reasonable mid priced entrees and good calamari. No worries of having too much Chianti because you can walk back to your room. It is not the best hotel in the world but then i am extremely picky also...it was fine for the money we paid. We've been so disappointed with the cheaper hotels in the Storrs, CT area. They are pretty bad. So this time we went with good experiences I've had with Holiday Inn Express in other cities.

"Couldn't Ask For More"
I was flying in from San Francisco to Boston and needed to make it to Connecticut. I booked the room online before I left for the night I arrived, rented a car at the airport and drove to Vernon from there (took about 1.5 hours). I knew nothing about Vernon and was anxious before getting there: good/bad neighborhood? places to eat nearby? condition […] of hotel? I was pleasantly surprised on all counts. The hotel was super easy to find, very clean, the neighborhood was fine with plenty of businesses nearby. If I had to find a complaint I would say there was some road noise because the hotel is literally just off the highway but I was happy it was so easy to find and I didn't mind (with the windows closed I could barely hear it) I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. The hotel is located in a very good area, lots of businesses, some 24 hours for people like us who don't return befor 2am after a night of racing. The staff was very pleasant and helped us with all our needs. The rooms are very neat and clean. The breakfast was a nice perk, hot and cold foods and plenty of coffee.
