Mobile Bay Adventure Inn — Mobile

We used this hotel for the past three years this year was a debacle. When we booked it we were told they had a shuttle service to the cruise dock. They did not which forced us to call a taxi at the last minute in order to get to the cruise terminal. One of the rooms of the three we stayed in was not even made up and ready and they moved that group […] to a different room. The customer service when asked for a decent place to eat near the hotel by my mother told her a place which was very nice, the problem was when my mother turned her back to walk out after thanking them the assistant turned to the other assistant and rolled her eyes and said some uncomplimentary things. The Mobile Bay Adventure Inn was not what I expected. The person at the check in was very helpful, but the police had to be called to take someone in because they had been using drugs. The room was hot and I couldn't get the thermostat to work. I won't be coming back to stay there. Thank you.

Unwelcoming, mediocre, place to lay your head for one night.

Well, I'm glad to write this review. This "Inn" was the worst travel experience we have ever encountered, after 45 years of travel. 1st, we believed we overpaid , but, at least we assumed it would be very good... and Mardi Gras was going on. 2nd: It was the filthiest room we ever stayed in... We slept in our clothes and did not use the blankets.; A […] refrigerator and micro wave were left on the floor and unusable; there was remains of vomit stains on the rugs, in several places. Although we turned the tv on we did not change the channel because the remote devise was so dirty; The window was dirty as was the parking lot. WE could not check out because we arrived at 10 PM via taxi and we were leaving for a cruise the next morning. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE AT ANT PRICE Uzziniet vairāk

clean rooms, wonderful staff, very nice atmosphere, close to everything..I would definatly stay again, recommend to anyone

We were greeted with a smile and given a room with special consideration to our needs since traveling with a semi blind lady friend. The rooms were clean and whe we requested maintenance for light bulbs to be replaced they did this within minutes. We were greeted in the morning by a smile from the cleaning lady.. all the employees were extremly helpful […] and the location was great. We were able to walk to the Civic Center to attend The Bay of the Holy Spirit. The streets were well lit with side walks...Although we were able to hear the music from an adjacent room it was orchestra music so relaxing. Nothing fancy but good for the price..beds are hard but we slept well. We would stay here again...this is an older hotel and did smell of smoke although we noticed everyone around their seemed to be smoking outside ;) Uzziniet vairāk

The agent should be more atuned to what the customer is asking for with a low fare versus quality and condition of the hotel. If I stated I wanted nothing below a three star and she stated it's clean and it was, but overall never again will stay at a known chain hotel/motel.

I originally booked my hotel room for 2 standard beds , but I came alone. I asked for a single room king size room and the front desk clerk was happy to oblige me.

Very noisy and very loud!!! There must be some guests who kind of live there and sometimes act and look weird! As a female gust, I did not feel comfortable and safe there at all after dark! The service (receptionists and the housekeeper) was grate! Also, they do not offer breakfast anymore, but they kept the info on their website! The location of the hotel was close to my weekend destination, but I did have two complaints. First, I requested extra two extra pillows for my guests, but the front desk said they could not give me extra pillows because housekeeping was off. Second, there was no free complimentary continental breakfast as hotels.com implied.

I enjoyed my stay at the Mobile Inn though I do wish they had better breakfast options. I'm not a fan of eating sweets like donuts in the morning and the only other option was bagels. Variety would have been great. My room was in good condition. I don't ask for much out of a hotel room. I wish the bed had been softer though and the pillows a bit fluffier. […] I spent a lot of the night tossing and turning. I had a few instances where I didn't get along with the wireless connection because it would be working one minute then disconnect itself the next. it worked better on the second day with staying logged on. I wish the wireless connection was a secure connection as well. I feel that should be a priority that any hotel undertakes. I enjoyed the location downtown though. I didn't explore a whole lot but there was a Hardee's nearby to eat at for a cheaper food selection. There were other restaurants too but I didn't have enough time to check those. Also the location was great because I-10 is really close by so you don't have to deal with traffic a whole lot in the morning. The price I paid was fair too. I could only get a 2 bed room though I was the only person. I felt that my car was secure in the parking lot because there always seemed to be an employee around somewhere. Uzziniet vairāk

No towels or wash cloths in the room. Air conditioner was very old an barely working. All kinds of strange looking people hanging out on the balconies. About 2 A.M. a fight broke out in the room above and it was very scarey. I thought we would hear gunshots at any given moment. No contential breakfast as advertised (only coffee). If you are cruising on Carvival out of Mobile, AL, this is the place to stay the night before your cruise. Very nice and clean facility. One-stop for pre-cruise stay, free shuttle to cruise, weekly parking available at reasonable rates, and free shuttle pickup at end of cruise. What a great place. They take care of all of your needs. The only reason to recommend this hotel to others is the fact that I paid for 2 nights what most other, better quality hotels would charge for one night. It's in the business center, where nothing happens, but it was only 10-15 minutes away from the USS Alabama Battleship Park, which is why I came to Mobile, Al.

We were taking a cruise and this hotel was only 3 minutes from the ship terminal. We could park there and take the shuttle to the ship. The parking fee was $30.00 cheaper than parking at the terminal. The only downfall was it was a Sunday and not many restaurants nearby to eat at.

This is one of the first hotels I have ever had to pay for, since in the past my company would pay for my stays, but I will say for the price I got this I was pretty darn impressed. The place was clean, there was a secure gated parking lot, and free breakfast. No hidden fees either. All in all I was absolutely glad I found this place especially for […] the price. It was a nice hotel in nice area.

This hotel was about what I expected it would be, maybe a little worse. The guy at the front desk was very nice, very helpful. The location of this hotel is great, very easy walk to many bars and restaurants. The room itself left some to be desired. It wasn't awful or anything. it was clean enough. Just old, and it showed. The bathroom was clean, the […] bed was clean. Everything worked. Except the tub drained slowly. No big deal. If I came through town again, and had more money, I'd pick a more expensive place to stay. But, if I were broke again, I would choose this place again. At least the location was excellent! we arrived around 4 pm, checked in without a problem. since it was still early we drove around locally. i believe due to the Gulf oil spill alot of people there would not be have been. noisy, beer drinking on the patios, not really a family friendly location. the room lacked a refrigerator and had just basic cable. Bad place. Room was dirty and smelled. A/C barely functioning. The people staying in the hotel around us looked like they were drug dealers - coming in and out all night. Unloading the car I had people leaning on the balcony making comments about my stuff. Looked like an inner city flop house. Almost got in the car and left. Next morning I walked to […] the lobby to get some coffee at the "free" breakfast - that was a joke. Coffee was awful and that's about all there was. Couldn't get out fast enough.... stay away!!!! The location was great, the outside of the hotel was very nice, has a French theme. The only complaints were that the room smelled like it had been flooded in the past, rather musty. Also, would have liked to have cereal on the continental breakfast. My husband and kids like cereal, and dont care for bagels.

We were concerned about the location, but that is not an issue. It is within walking distance to many bar&grilles, cafe type restaraunts, and the historic distric. The hotel is a good value.I have stayed in worse for more$.

The staff was courteous, the room clean and in good repair. The beds were not spectacular, but comfortable enough. Very well located and a very good price for a downtown hotel. Frequented by many people on their way to a cruise, but even so it was not too noisy. Plenty of on-site parking. Good but not great hotel.

We stayed 3 days and all in all things were good. Beds were hard. When we checked in floors were nasty, but next day they were shampooed and looked great. Bathrooms were awsome so white. pool was nice and the staff we come in contact with were awsome. close to a lot of attractions. special thx to ms pat!!!

Rooms are not the cleanest, and not in the best condition, but they are satisfactory for the price you pay. Location is GREAT. Right in the downtown area. Nothing fancy, but definitely worth the cheap price we paid.
