Very good stay except for one item, the lighting in the room was too sparse. There could have been a few more lights to make the room more accommodating.

My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Memphis on New Year's Eve because it was the only hotel available close to downtown Memphis without having to pay an astronomical amount. We had planned to go celebrate and ring in the new year on Beale Street. The great thing about this hotel is that there was a shuttle service and a nearby trolley that took […] us to and from our hotel. That solved our problem of worrying about parking or driving after having some drinks. The location is nice if you want to stay in a quiet area. It is far enough away from the downtown/Beale Street noise. The hotel is older, and it was definitely noticeable in the bathroom, as there is no counter space whatsoever. We also did not have a bathtub; just a shower which would almost flood the bathroom because there isn't much of a guard to hold the water in. Now I do not know if all of the rooms are built this way. It just did not seem very modern or practical for women who may need more space to get ready and lay their makeup and other personal items out. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The furniture and decor was classy and modern. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the hotel, and did not have any issues with our stay. Great staff, very clean room, walkable to everything, trolly very close too. We changed our reservation after making it and they were very accommodating. You have to pay for parking and no breakfast, but otherwise great value and would stay again.

Hotel is convenient to the streetcar. It was about a two block walk to the trolley car. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Try Westies. Staf were friendly and helpful. Comfortable stay near downtown.

Nice hotel staff, convenient location off I-40, and downtown. The rooms look dated for the price but still clean and decent. You have to pay for parking, but hey it's in a downtown location so I guess that kind of stuff is expected. 4 of 5 stars.

The direct hotel staff, WONDERFUL!! Every one of them so nice and helpful that it compensated for all the other flaws. The restaurant, got orders wrong, bad service, and never seemed to care. Housekeeping, could improve. Bathroom ceiling had brown drip looking marks, the walls had something all over them. But even with all that, the valet, front desk, […] and bell hop, all fantastic!! Shouldn't have to pay for parking, especially when lot is not fully secure at all times. $15 a day! No way!

There were young people loud in their rooms 2 doors down and in the hall way at 3am. I requested to be quiet, but they were still loud. Highway traffic noise was loud. Double window might help. Person at the check out did not ask how the stay was.

My wife and I stayed here the night prior to our train ride to New Orleans, and were very pleased. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the north end of Main Street where the Mall starts -- a perfect location and within walking distance of everything you've been told to try in downtown Memphis.. The staff was knowledgable and courteous, and very helpful […] -- we were welcomed by the valet with no wait. The next morning they had our car waiting shortly after I called for it. The restaurant is good and a nice option if you don't feel like getting out and walking. We both had the burger and it was cooked as requested. I never put much faith in hotel restaurants, but this one was pleasant and good. The room was in great shape: clean, comortable, and quiet. The bed was comfotable, and we were well rested the next morning. Check your clock by the bed because it may be set incorrectly. I suspect people unplug the clock to plug in their phones to charge over night, so don't blindly put faith on the accuracy of time until you check it. Not a big deal. I recommend this hotel. We booked via Hotels.com and got a good deal -- the price was right for the quality and comfort of the hotel. We liked it enough to book it for our return trip from New Orleans via Amtrak, and still got a great deal via Hotels.com. If you are headed to the train station, it's about 15 minutes away via car and very easy to get to from the hotel-- there is free parking at the station. You could walk there if you wanted, but it'll take you about 30 minutes -- it's a safe walk and you'll be right on Main Street -- but it's a bit of a walk if you plan on hauling luggage that far. To drive it, take 2nd Street from the hotel (it's one-way) to Beale and turn right. Then turn left onto Main until you see the Amtrak sign for parking. After a long drive , my wife and 19 month old baby daughter check in . Staff was rude and ghetto , no working tv or hot water . Air conditioning was pitiful as well . Staff was very rude and constantly used Ebonics as a means to communicate with guests .

Spend the extra $$ & stay at the Marriot across the street!!!

What a wonderful place and wonderful people, especially Daryl. My wife, Mom and I were in awe with the quality of service we receieved. The Crowne Plaza is where we plan to stay during our next trip to Memphis.

rooms were clean and housekeeping was nice. Only Two elevators and they were slow. Had breakfast buffet and the only thing the waitress brought to my table was the 45 $ ticket for two adults and 1 kid. Buffett was out of some items and I had to find my own fork and had nothing to drink.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. Would gladly stay there again. Come to Memphis area several times a year.

This is not a bad place to stay. Relativiely close to Beal St.., etc. but seems a little pricey for Memphis. DO NOT like their cancellation policy. 24 hours should be enough advance notice.

My sister and I stayed at the hotel in the beginning of the week, and from the very minute we walked in to the hotel, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful!!!! There was 5 employees in the lobby area, and they all welcomed us with a smile and a good afternoon. This, I thought, is not experienced much anymore, so I immediately thought this is gonna […] be a great stay!!! Reginald, whom is one of their complimetary shuttle drivers, stopped us in the lobby, and said when you folks are ready, I will take you downtown. Wow, these people are so excited about being helpful... Now I am not exaggerating, the service at this hotel was a pleasant surprise!!!!!! So Reginald took us to walk around Bealse Street and the surrondong area, he said when your ready to be picked up just call my phone. We thought there is no way this is gonna be as easy as a phone call to be picked back up. Well, to our amazement we called Reginald, he said I'll be there in 12 minutes... He was there to pick us up in 8 minutes!!!! The next morning we had the pleasure of meeting a couple of other exceptional employees, John and Marcus. They greeted us with a warm welcome and smile. John and Marcus referred us to some great restaurants, and john even arranged for a shuttle service to the airport. I can't speak for anyone but myself and my sister, but I do work in a very Customer Service Orientated Business, and these folks at The Crowne offered excellent service that made for an extra special and pleasant trip!!!! This hotel is close to major downtown attractions and the hotel's complementary shuttle is very handy. Hotel is clean and service was fine. I would stay at this hotel again when in the Memphis downtown area.

This hotel offers shuttle service w/in a 5 mile radius. I highly recommend you use it. Reginald, my driver, took me to the Blues City Cafe. I told him what I had in mind and it was great. He picked me up promptly after dinner. I really enjoyed that service.

For the high rate I paid, I was expecting free parking, an active lobby and a building that was built/renovated recently. What I received was effort to provide a great experience that fell short due to the ghetto surrounding location (other than the sparkling Mariott across the street), short ceilings (head hit the ceiling in the workout room while […] on eliptical), minimal to zero staff in the cafe area, $10 parking in an outdoor parking lot which looks like you'll be carless by morning and last but not least, no phone or attraction binder in the room. Pay a bit extra and head across the street to the Mariott or just stay in a different part of the city. Uzziniet vairāk

I had to grow to like the hotel. it was okay. it would help if they could upgrade to digital instead of analog tv. we also had to pay an extra ten dollars per day to park.

I travelled with my wife and two kids and our experience at this hotel was horrible. The hotel did not have a room ready for us when we got there and after they gave us key to a room and we went to the room someone was in the bed watching TV. They give us a room that was already occupied. What kind of operation is this!! Who is running this place??? […] The manager and his staff need to be fired!!! Anyway, they change our room 4 times after that. We checked in at 4:30PM but did not have a room to sleep in until 11:30PM. PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL!! It was a horrible experience for us and our stay in memphis was not as enjoyale as we anticipated because of what happen to us at the Crowne Plaza. Uzziniet vairāk
