"Base rooms are not very nice"
Out first impression was good, but our room smelled horribly of smoke either because someone smoked in it or because it was above a smoking floor. It was also a pet floor! Their policy only allows ONE device onto the Internet without paying and additional $14.95 per day above and beyond the $25 resort fee. We have not stated in a hotel that limits devices […] to this point! The following day we complained about the smoke and ended up having to pay $40 a night extra to get another room! There is nothing convenient about a surprise convenience fee that is required at check in. We were told that for $20 we would have free internet, local calls, and access to the gym. We did not need or want any of that, but the fee was required so we didn't have a choice but to pay it. Otherwise we could wait until 3pm and get our room keys at no cost. I have never heard of that before and I think it is a terrible policy. This hotel does not offer down/feather pillows either. "Stay only with a deal"
We have stayed at most of the hotels on the Strip. The Paris is pretty much like most of the properties anymore - corporately owned and you're treated that way. Of course, most of the properties have the "resort fee", which is irritating enough. But, if you want to check in early (before 3:00) you have to pay an extra $15 for this privilege. Unfortunately, […] when we wanted to check, I was very sick and just wanted to lay down. Tried to check in around 2:30 and was told we'd have to pay extra. Yep, rules are rules, but the little courtesies are what bring us back. The room definitely needs updating, the matress was terrible, could feel the springs. At least the room was clean, can't say the same for the hallways. Dirty cocktail glasses sat out in the hall for almost 2 days - yes, 2 days. A room service cart stayed in the hallway for 14 hours. The buffet was great, our server was excellent. The pool is wonderful and the cocktail waitresses were super friendly. If you can get a deal, stay here. Otherwise, nothing really special. Stayed at Paris before, most reasonably priced good hotel in this part of strip. Forgot about the resort fee, which is really just hidden room cost, extra 20$ per night. Only extra you get from this that you will actually use is the internet. Didnt use the internet so cannot vouch for its quality. Check in was slow, for a friday evening only 1 check […] in desk manned. Line had to get long before other desks opened. Cocktails at hotel bar were not very strong and 12$ a pop. Room we chose was advertised as having a view option. When asked about this was told a view would cost 40$ extra per night. Will try another hotel next time, maybe some dont have that resort fee. "Good location"
More or less in the center of the LV strip. Check in a little slow but typical for LV. Parking fairly long walk to check in but have had worse walks in LV at other hotels. Check out a breeze. Centrally located on the strip, across from Bellagio, Paris is in a good location. Room rates are more than fair, at least during the week. If I ever return to Las Vegas, which I expect I will, I'll be happy to stay here again.
