This customer service is excellent, the rooms are very clean, great location. Only downside is the side of some rooms, do yourself a favor and upgrade to one of the better rooms.

Its a good hotel but NO WAY is the rate reasonable. They TOTALLY ripe you off for SXSW. Also they charge $16 bucks a day for internet in the room.

Bed was comfortable. Amenities in need of update. For price, I was a bit disappointed. That said. If I can sleep well, it counts for a lot of forgiveness.

Solid hotel, top notch service, only complaints are room was a little small, TV was an old small CRT, and no internet service included with my hefty premium room rate.

I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. It was a very nice surprise. I will stay there again the next time i am in Austin.

Perfect location. Central to all good times. Classy hotel. Great price in middle of the week.

My wife and I booked a night at the Intercontinental so that we could have a child free evening downtown Austin. The location of hotel makes it easy to get to all things downtown. It also makes it easy to find for those traveling from out of town. The lobby and common areas are clean and well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. The style of the […] room and the furniture in the room was a bit dated, but not enough to deter us from staying here again. If you are looking for a sleek, modern hotel, this is not the place. Great place to stay and I'd stay there again, no doubt. Walking distance to more restaurants than you could ask for and right down the street from the capitol. Only downside is that the room we stayed in (I can't speak for the whole hotel) seemed a little outdated, particularly the TV. I had a Pre-paid reservation for a Junior Suite. They had overbooked and put us in a room that was not a junior suite and tried to pass it off as one. Protested and they could not change rooms until the next day! They did eventually move us into a very nice room, the next day, and credited our account for the parking charges and apologized for my "frustration". […] They just would not admit that they were the problem and they did not keep our originally reserved and paid for room ready for our arrival. Over all a very nice Hotel. Down sides 2 small elevators 1 normal size. OLD TV, with a bad viewing angle from the bed. Charge for in room internet Charge for parking Plus, Great location for 6/7th st. well lit vanity area in bathroom. Super great bed/pillows

We were a little upset that we could not get some cash from the hotel on our credit card we do not have a ATM card.

The location couldn’t be better in proximity to everything I love about traveling to a city like Austin: theater, history, bar/entertainment district, shopping, and major streets. The service was top-notch, the room was comfortable and quiet, the food and drinks at the lobby bar were excellent.

Great location and great chocolate chip cookies at night. Staff are professional and pleasant. The only problem I had was with the placement of the air condition vent in the room. It blew air directly onto the couch where someone sits to watch tv.

I really enjoyed the time I stayed at the Hotel. Everyone that worked at the hotel was extremely nice & helpful as far as recommendations on what to do as well as where to eat. I would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast buffet which was just scrambled eggs, some toast/bagels, sausages, fruit and cereal cost twenty. Wireless internet had a surcharge of about ten a day. There were stains in my carpet, and some kind of roach crawled across my floor one morning. Towels that I put on the floor disappeared and weren't replaced. Valet parking was the ONLY option […] and was twenty-eight per night. An overnight lot around the corner was only five a night. Right in the heart of it all in DT Austin. Can't go wrong with this place at all. Good service, excellent rooms and lots of great restaurants nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful Stay although the room was on the small side, it was close to my destinations downtown. My only real complaint was that parking was 26 dollars for the night.

We had a very happy stay at your beautiful hotel for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Very special thanks to our friend Blake for upgrading us and giving us access to a fabulous breakfast and a lovely corner room!! Your hotel is wonderful!

I has booked a king bed on hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in, they told me that all they had was a Queen room and I could not get the King room I reserved. Very rude and no apologies or anything. The rooms are TINY and old. Bathtub was not very clean and will not stay there again. NOT worth the 4-star rating and price!

We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was comfortable and spacious enough for two. The location is perfect. My husband and I parked the car right across the street from the hotel and never used it again the two days were there. So many places were in walking distance... the capitol, 6th street bars and 2nd/4th street restaurants, AMOA, the Hideout, […] etc. I'd definitely go back! Uzziniet vairāk

I had to wait for 3 hours out in the 100 degree heat because they don't have a room available.

Our stay was one night. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. The room was small with a pay as you use fridge. My wife commented that there was no area for her to put on her makeup since I was using the small desk. Most of our 1 week stay in Texas involved lower priced hotels with frige, microwave and free breakfast. while in Austin, I chose […] an upscale hotel with a great location. 5 block to the capitol, 6 blocks to the bats at Congress bridge 1 block to 6th street. One of those hotels that seems like it should be great but doesn't quite live up to that. The room was small. They had a small, old TV with a pretty cruddy signal. The AC never seemed to make the room actually comfortable (while it was 100+ outside, that's not unusual for Austin). The gym wasn't bad but wasn't great. The InterContinental Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Austin - easy access to Sixth Street and surrounding sites and restaurants. Valet parking is pricey - but they were great, very helpful and accommodating.

We payed quite a bit to get a Junior King Suite and frankly I expected a little more. It was not that big of a room and the bathroom is only average. We didn't get new soap each day, and we also didn't get a newspaper. I know that is being picky but really...no free newspaper? We did have a great breakfast outside on the second level patio (one of […] our highlights). The hotel is also right by the action on 6th street without being on 6th street which was very handy. For the room we received, not a great deal. Would not regularly pay this amount for this small of a room with a view of air conditioning units right outside of our window. Had to keep curtains closed at all times due to ugliness of view. Room was comfortable, but small. Bathroom very small. I don't think we got much of a deal.

Only downside was that there was a street party at night until midnight right in front of the hotel which was VERY loud. Not their fault, but this party is an annual event, they could have warned guests. was a little noisy being so close to 6th street, even on a Sunday night.. otherwise the hotel was very nice, clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was stuffy and continued to be that way throughout our stay. We stayed there on a Friday night and the music was so loud from the surrounding bars, you could hear it all the way on the eleventh floor. There were noisy guests staying on our floor who were talking at very loud volumes, both nights, very late into the night. Everyone was very very friendly and helpful. I came in to town to perform at the Belmont for my music producer's birthday bash. Was given great directions while driving. The hotel even let my photographer do a photo shoot. The Valet let us use his luggage cart to photograph on! We even asked for a screw driver which came to our room within minutes - […] no questions asked. LOL! When I left the next day and the valet brought my car around, I remembered that I forgot my favorite little blue pillow in the room. I got out of my car to go back to the desk and before I could put my foot on the ground to let someone know, a nice man ran up to my car with my pillow in his hand! OMG, Thanks! Uzziniet vairāk

Great restaurant, bar, staff, and workout facilities. Rooms are small so don't plan for a rollaway, crib, or even a pack-and-play.

I was more than pleased with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable... staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was very nice and the bar with a balcony overlooking Congress was excellent. Everyone from the valet to the front desk and the janitorial staff was very friendly. THE INTERCONTINENTAL AUSTIN, AKA: STEPHEN F. IS OUR FAVORITE HOTEL IN AUSTIN. A PERFECT DOWNTOWN LOCATION FOR OUR INTERESTS (LIVE MUSIC,FANTASTIC DINING, AND GREAT BARS NEARBY) BUT BE AWARE, NOT ALL ROOMS ARE CREATED EQUAL. WE WERE GIVEN AN "ACCESSIBLE" ROOM WITH HANDRAILS THROUGHOUGHT THE BATHROOM AND A ROLL-IN SHOWER. WE WERE TOLD THERE WERE NO OTHER […] ROOMS AVAILABLE TO MOVE INTO SO WE STAYED.
