Extended Stay Deluxe Juneau - Shell Simmons Drive — Juneau

For slightly more than a nearby hotel designed for guests staying more than a day or two, you get a beautiful decor, clean room, knowledgeable staff, and a quiet atmosphere. Sadly, it's just a little too far in just a little too iffy an area to walk to from the airport.

The hotel was very nice. Fitness center, pool, convenience to the airport were all appreciated. Unfortunately, everything in Juneau is a log way from something else and it cost $25 for a taxi to get downtown. You cant beat the location for walking to or from the airport and the price was low enough to pay for the taxi once a day. I enjoyed my stay for […] two nights. Hotel is well maintained and managed and the price is competetive. Location is the real big plus as it is next to the airport.

Room had a small kitchen built into the layout - if you need to stay a while and want to cook for yourself, you have a microwave, hotplates, kitchen sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, towels, utensils, you name it. This isn't just a box with a bed. Good deal for the budget concious traveller. Decent restaurants within walking distance as well.

I was quite satisfied during a recent overnight stay at this hotel. It was an easy 2 minute walk from the plane to the hotel. It was another easy 5 minute walk to two average restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised with the kitchenette, but was too far from a food store to make this work for my short stay. Hotel staff not overly friendly. Breakfast is skimpy

The breakfast was a very limited continental breakfast.

The Extended Stay had a convenient location for air travel, however we were a little disappointed that there was only a shuttle for the airport, which is directly across the street, and no shuttle for the ferry. We had also only needed a single queen bed, but ended up in a room that had two, and one matress fell through the bed frame anyways!! I'm glad […] that I did not acquire an injury, seeing that I am eight months pregnant, and a fall, even from that low height could have been devastating or labor-inducing. We had also read the rules for children going to the pool and supposedly kids were not allowed after 8:30. On two different nights, my husband and I wanted to go swimming, there were kids on the first night up until 10 and there was a dog present in the pool room. The second night, there were nine very rowdy and 'splashy' minors that were not accompanied by a parent for 40 minutes or more. After complaining to the guy at the front desk, he went to the pool & told the kids that it was time to go, however, none of the kids listened. He left them there, and never returnedto see if they listened and actually left. It was not my place to tell more than half a dozen rowdy boys when they were and were not allowed in the pool. The bed that fell through the frame also looked filthy dirty and some spots in the bathroom were the same. Though it may have been 4 nights in a more affordable hotel, we might have preferred to spend more money for a nicer room. Uzziniet vairāk

This hotel caters to those needed an extended stay, and so the rooms are all equipped with refrigerators, stoves, and kitched equipment. In order to keep costs down, they only provide full cleaning service once a week rather than every day. Guests can request more frequent cleaning, for an additional fee. Conveniently located across the airport parking lot. A bit further from downtown. Staff were disorganized regarding the complimentary shuttle service; issues with going into downtown. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay for a "short" period of time. Not recommended for vacations.

Was pleasantly surprise at friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency of staff. After reading some reviews was hesitant to book this hotel. But did anyway because of closeness to airport. But I found the room clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Room was amazing; location's great, literally backyard of the airport and walking distance from cnvenience stores/restaurants; lov e the hot tub; but the best asset this hotel has to offer is its customer service. Front desk and van drivers were incredible.

They have. Shuttle to the airport & ferry which is great. The rooms are a good size but double check the towels for cleanness. Every towline in my bathroom had a hair :( luckily I was only there for a couple hours and didn't shower.

Great location, right across the street from Juneau Airport. They even have a shuttle. Fully furnished rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff available 24 hrs for assistance. Surprizingly they charge a flat rate for the internet meanwhile almost everyone else provides free internet. But that is not a big deal. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The 'Continental Breakfast" consisted of bagels and lukewarm juice and bad coffee. I found hairs in the bathtub and the sink and it did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. The sheets were clean but really that was the only good thing about it. I was surprised at the room clean and much more emenities than I expected. Had to search all over for the ice machine - no signs and was disappointed in the fact that there was no jets with any force in the whirlpool and the pool area was not cleaned very well compaired to the rooms

This is a very old hotel with really old beds. I stayed in 2 different rooms (once for business and once for play). Both beds were old and creaky so be prepared to leave sore and not very well rested. The breakfast is very basic, bagels and english muffins. They charge you for internet if you want wireless in your room and $10 for cleaning fee if you […] want your room cleaned while you are staying there. I researched quite a few of the hotels in Juneau area though before booking this one and they all seemed to have the same quality - old and worn. If you stay here, try to get an even numbered room so you can be on the side with the prettier view (you see the airport, but at least you can see the mountains instead of just an old ugly warehouse). Front desk clerks pleasant but slow. Within a 3 wood of the airport. Was the old Aspen Suites.

Without question, this hotel is a nightmare. Room 123 was filthy --- looked like someone urinated on the couch and it had blood on the arms. I have written to the management, corporate headquarters, and the BNetter Business Bureau along with the Alaska Board of Health. They should not be allowed to operate in this condition.

we have stayed here a couple times a year for the past couple years for its location and price, but it is just not the same as it used to be. tub drain was clogged, could tell it had been like that for awhile, there was a ring around the tub! yuck!! but we asked them to fix it and they came right up!

Close to airport. One of few hotels that offered shuttle to downtown. Also, one of few hotels with pool and hottub. Rooms were nice. Front desk was hit or miss on helpfullness, but overall not too bad. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, and would definitely stay there again when passing through Juneau.

If I could give this hotel negative stars, I would. The hotel was filthy. There was an awful smell that filled the lobby- bad enough that it made me gag! When I asked what it was, the response was that they were working on locating the source- no apology. The rooms were not cleaned daily, which is expected, however, when I requested clean towels, coffee […] packets,etc, they were very slow to give me what I requested. Not so great stay for the following reasons: Rude receptionist that didn't hang up her personal phone call to check me in, and then acted put out when I had further questions. In room fridge was so loud, it woke me up every 20 minutes as it powered on, ended up having to unplug it. Convenient to the airport, you can literally walk right across the street […] and it's there, but that means you can also here every plane that comes and goes. Hotel was over booked and under staffed on our arrival, the 3:00pm Check-in did not happen until 4:20pm. Our NonSmoking room was directly over the smoking area and frequently smelled strongly of smoke. Both mattreses are due to be replaced they are more bowl shaped than flat. The "Continental Breakfast" is Coffee, Juice, Fruit(bannanas, oranges, or […] apples) and bagels, if you are early enough. On the positive side, the staff was pleasent and ready to help. The noise from the airport was not signifigant despite being less than 1/4 mile. The room was spacious, adequate for 4 for a week. The "Deluxe" is a misnomer as it is only average. It was clean & comfortable. Bed was good, pillows okay. No bedbugs! I don't mind going without maid service. Got new towels after two days from the front desk. It was very close and convenient to the airport and very quiet from outside noises and from room to room. But, noise from the room above me and […] the hallway was pretty disturbing and kept me from a good nights sleep two of the four I was there. The grocery store around the corner is now a hardware store, so I was disappointed with their breakfast of juice, coffee, bagels & cream cheese or jam. I realize thats more than some people on this earth eat in a week, and maybe you have to get up early to get the whole wheat bagels. But I was hoping for healthier fare! Very nice, next to airport,clean and comfortable

The neatest thing about this hotel is it is in easy walking distance of Juneau airport with little adverse impact of noise from arriving/departing planes.

This motel is conveniently located near the airport, and you can walk to some nearby restaurants as well. The rooms are equipped with a complete small kitchen to enable one to prepare meals and to store food in a refrigerator and freezer unit.

THIS HOTEL IS GOOD EXCEPT YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR OWN TOWELS AND TAKE OUT YOUR OWN GARBAGE, THEY DO THIS FOR YOU ONCE A WEEK :(

Nicest hotel pool in Juneau, however the breakfast was a joke, no plates, napkins, hot water for tea or a variety of foods. I wouldn't call it a real hotel continental breakfast. Also the towels need a serious upgrade. Otherwise beds were comfortable and rooms were clean with friendly staff. It's the right place if your flight take off early in the morning. The bedroom and bathroom were wide amb clean. Also there was a kitchenette.
