It is a good hotel in a great location..i think it is a great location and hotel for the value.

Good hotel in a great location. Make sure to ask for the new wing though. The old one is clean but aging. Nevertheless it is worth staying here.

The rooms are dated. Noisy building site at the back of the hotel. Can't control air con/ heating Room too cold. Long and thin room. Okay value. Breakfast is very good. Nice range on thr buffet. Wouldn't stay again thiugh. Beware of hawkers hanging around the area. Don't be a victim of the Beijing tea scam. If someone wants to invite you for tea or […] coffee to practice English walk away. I was just there a week ago after i read the good reviews. What a disappointment!!! The staff is not welcoming at all and the hotel is not clean at all not to talk about the lousy rooms.. so small and cramped. the back side of the hotel is facing a huge construction site which of course is not mentioned any where. The first morning was a disaster after […] waking up at 5:30 am to the sound of a monster construction site. Only after complaining we were moved to the front side of the hotel to another lousy room. The concierge at the hotel is very bad and incompetent, would not get us even a taxi not to mention good recommendation where to go out and where are the good bars. This hotel is in a great location. Close to Forbidden City and shopping. Booked the standard room (looked fine on their website) - very surprised at the old and dirty room. Not what I would expect from a Novotel. I immediately asked for a newer room and had to pay a premium to get moved to room that was satisfactory and up to usual Novotel standards. […] Besides my initial poor room choice, it was a good stay at a great location. This really is a great hotel located just off the main areas and you can walk to Tainanmen and Forbidden City within 10 minutes or so. Location is good and the service is well up to the best Chinese standards.

nice location. change old tv's to lcd tv's. hotel is nice and comfortable.

This is a fair warning for single male visitors. During the night the surrounding streets near the hotel are flooded with ladies offering their `` massage`` services. Those ladies are very persistent and become very aggresive if you refuse. After gentle refusal I have been namecalled and pinched in the arms on several occasions. Be warned !!

Within a walk from Forbidden City, Night Markets, Wanfujing Street, good shopping centres for restaurants. Some staff speak english well, some don't. Expensive restaurant within the hotel.

hi there, Just wanted to say that the hotel is excellent. However, it is on the doorstep for a shopping precint/centre; which is good one might think. Except that as a westerner (male) you are bombarded with women trying to get you into a local bar or see 'calligraphy' which becomes very trying. These are all scams so keep a wide berth if you can.

This is located literally around the corner: a. 2 minutes walk to Wangfujing Street (beijing's must see shopping strip - its mega long and full of life) b. 20 minutes walk to Forbidden City c. 25 minutes walk to Tiananmen Square d. 3 minutes walk to the nearest subway (if ur too lazy to walk) e. the subway will take you anywhere! I booked 2 standard rooms and ended up staying in the old wing where the lifts only reached the 1/f. I had to lift my heavy baggage for a small flight of stairs from the new wing to change lift to reach the 5/f without assistance. The trade-off was -- it was cheaper than staying in the new wing.

This hotel was convenient to Tianamen Square and Wangfujing Pedestrian mall. It consisted of two parts, one slightly more upscale than the other, joined by a common lobby and open coffee shop. It was quite elegant in the entrance way and the main floor. The rooms in the second section were slightly dated but still clean and staff were pleasant and spoke […] English well enough. Just returned from stay in Noveltel Peace Beijing, very enjoyable experience.. Room was very comfortable and clean daughter loved the bathroom. Great location with a nearby subway station, shoping and restaurants. The hotel is very nice but the decor is a little dated. The water in the bathroom is not drinkable. Most of the staff speaks pretty decent English. The conceirge is not really a conceirge like you would expect. Several times I asked for basic information on local tourist spots, like […] what hours are the museum open. They said "maybe 9-5 but I'm not sure." We stayed in this hotel on our way home from Australia. The hotel is well situated for site seeing and the Forbiden City and Teimen Square are within walking distance.

The hotel front desk staff not very help full, rooms are very dark, not vacum cleaned room also walkways were not clean. Will not recommend

the hotel is close to the most attractive shopping street and to the night food market (3 minutes walk). the staff is very attentive and helpful and the room was fantastic. the hotel has 3 floors of primium rooms which are excellent in good rates. an excellent choice for a stay in beijing!

This hotel is right in the heart of the city. It's only a 5-minute cab ride from the fast train to the airport. Note on cabs: Cabbies are waiting right outside the train exit to over-charge you for a ride. I bargained down (at 10:30 pm after a long day coming from Xi'an, I just wanted to get to the hote), but I still overpaid (80 RMB and it only cost […] 15 RMB when I returned), so bargain well or go out on the street to catch a cab. If you can't speak Chinese, it would be good to have the hotel name written in Chinese to show your driver! The hotel room was really stylish and well appointed, including a chaise lounge, desk and lots of lighting options. The view of the city was great from my room which was only on the 10th floor. The service was good throughout the hotel. The hotel is in a great central location just across the street from the Peninsula Hotel. The night market is just down the street which sells everything you can eat on a stick (including crickets). It's fun to go and see whether you buy food or not. The hotel has free WiFi in the restaurants and lobby bar. They also have 2 computers across from the check-in desk for free internet use, but there was usually a line up to use them and the internet was not always reliable, but at least it was an option. The location is very good. The hotel staff is helpful. The only minus thing is the shower. The water is not powerfull.

This hotel's most attractive quality is its location---just a couple of blocks to the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen. Wangfujing is a fun, albeit tourist=focused, shopping area. The hotel has quite comfortable beds. Pillows are okay...I'm a fan of feathers, so the "sponge" feel doesn't appeal to me that much. Room was very clean; bathroom was a bit […] worn. The sink wasn't dry (the style tends to allow a bit of water to pool in its bottom), and the ceiling panel was loose. Otherwise, it was okay. We thought the fixed price of breakfast was ridiculous, so walked up & across the street to Starbucks and had delicious café lattés and muffins. Complaints: When we checked in, a bellman took our luggage. We went to our room but the bellman never arrived, so I went to the lobby to check things out. Found our cases against the wall, but couldn't get the attention of the bellman, who was busying himself moving other pieces of luggage from one place to the next. After standing in front of him for five minutes, I gave up and simply took our luggage myself. The other major complaint was the woman who was overseeing the business center. Needed to use the center to re-confirm our flights. When I walked in, she was working with a young man...there was no one else there. I sat down at a computer and began to log on. She looked up and demanded, "WHAT are you doing!? We are really busy in here and you need to wait!" One person does not equal busy (in my book). A male employee soon entered and offered to assist me in getting set up. She never apologized for her boorish behavior, which was a real turn-off. She subsequently was equally rude to another person who walked into the room. Her behavior was inexcusable for someone involved in the hospitality industry. This was the 2nd time for me traveling to Beijing. At my first stay in Beijing i stayed at Novotel Peace and the hotels location is perfect for a stay in Beijing. Close to most of the thigs i wanted to se. Also the reseption and information is very good and i arranged all my trips from here. They have good breakfast and overall the service is very good. […] So for my 2nd stay i decided to go back and stay at Novotel Peace and if i return to Beijing i would choose it again. The hotel had 2 computers in the lobby for free internet access which was great. The location was great as Wangfujing street, The Forbidden City, and the Subway were all withing walking distance. The restaurants within a couple blocks also had great food without the tourist prices. Will definately recommend this hotel.

2012年GWに2泊しました。王府井や故宮にも徒歩圏内。地下鉄駅も近く便利そうなので決めました。悪い書き込みがいくつかあったし料金も安かったので期待せず、しょぼいビジネスホテルを想像していたら、着いてみてびっくり！とても立派できれいなホテルでした。お部屋も広くて清潔。サービスもグッド。私はコンシェルジェで観劇チケットを取ってもらいました。ネット接続も無料で高速でした。お風呂にバスタブがないのが唯一の不満。でもこの価格なら仕方ありません。次回もぜひ利用したいです。

Bra läge, små rum i något behov av renovering. Bra service. Tycker priset var något dyrt i förhållande till vad man fick.

Med tanke på att det är ett fyrstjärnigt hotell hade jag förväntat mig mer. Personalen var otrevliga inte alls serviceminded. Bra läge men inte värt pengarna.

北京の田舎から移動してきたので、英語も通じるし、設備も綺麗でとても良かったです。 ただし、建物が本館と別館があり、自分は別館に通されたのですが、途中、階段を登らないと行けず、もし、重い荷物があったらどうするのか？疑問です。 また、インターネットが通じずフロントに電話したしましたが、部屋に来て確認するといわれたが来ず、2回電話してやっと来ました。 忙しいのはわかるけど、客は待っているので、直ぐに対処してもらわないと困ります。

Perfekt läge, mycket bra service och fina rum! Frukostbuffén mycket god och all personal är mycket trevliga.Poolen är skönt uppvärmd och ok storlek för att kunna simma i. Hotellet har bara ett par minuters promenad till tunnelbanan, vilken är utmärkt att använda för att ta sig runt i stan! Hotellet rekommenderas!

El acceso a las habitaciones del edificio antiguo, es incomodo, sin comunicacion directa con la entrada, Es necesario utilizar dos ascensores distantes uno de otros y subir peldaños interiores. Dommage qu'à l'arrivée, ils ne respectent pas ce qui avait été réservé....... twin room au lieu de Double room avec un big size bed. Le petit déjeuner était inclus mais il a fallu le réclamer au moins deux fois.......Sinon lieu plutôt sympathique.... A recommander.....

Hotellet var toppen och personalen i receptionen speciellt en kille var väldigt hjälpsam, men de blåste oss på massageavdelningen när vi skulle få pedikyr och när vi ville klaga så vände de oss ryggen. Ett tips ta manikyr/pedikyr på stan om du vill ha det vi fick kanon bra där och billig dessutom..

Très proche a la cité interdit et la rue avec plusieurs magasin. Le concierge de l’hôtel vous confirme et négocie le tarif avec les taxistes pour si rendre a la grand muraille et autres sites d’intérêts.

Un hotel muy agradable y cerca de muchos lugares interesantes; personal amable, siempre que se hable inglés o chino mandarín.

staff très disponible et agréable maitrisant bien l'anglais ce qui est rare pour la Chine. En revanche, je déconseille leur service de visite pour la grande muraille. Obligé de courir sur les sites culturels pour être coincé pendant deux heures dans une usine sans intérêt avec une pression de la guide qui vous pousse à acheter.
