We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The hotel was perfect for us with our dog and close to our favorite restaurant Waterman's and the Fisherman's Wharf Marina. We would definitely stay there again. I'm glad my friends and I stayed for only one night. This stay at this hotel was cold and boring. The hallways are tearrces on both sides of the hotel and only one elevator. The outside of the hotel needs to be remodeled, because when walking to the entrance door, the floors felt like they were going to cave in and we were going to fall in. The bed springs were old and rusty and had metal pieces sticking out to the point where there are scratches on the bottom of our legs and partcial of our arms. I'm just glad it was for night and in the rooms the smell was mold and and old paint. Heat and air conditioning did not work at all in none of our rooms, I would rate this hotel a 2.5 or a low 3; the price was right, but the stay could have been better. This hotel was undoubtedly a nice one in its day, but lack of attention and failure to make repairs has taken its toll on this hotel. The handle on the door to the lobby has broken and hanging off. Room is comfortable and close to the ocean (across the street). So close, that, if you open the door way, you can hear the ocean. Trash that was at the common area trash bin on Tuesday is still there. Site says you get a free continental breakfast. No breakfast. Last night got locked out of my room because the security bar on the inside of the door engaged. I was simply placed in another room for the night and was told someone would get me in my room in the morning. No one showed up in the morning, I called again and a maintenance man came up. Armed with only a Philips screwdriver, he disengaged the security bar. The Pros for this hotel:close to the beach, the staff is very friendly, and hotel is very cheap compared to the other hotels at the beach; however, having said that, I am glad that my family was not with me on this trip as we would not have actually checked in to the hotel. If all you are looking for is a place to sleep and do not care that the common areas are a mess and the room is very dated (i.e., old furnishings and has not been updated in years), this place would do the trick. Nothing spectular about the hotel. It was clean, very close to the Neptune Festival. The staff was very nice and helpful. I think this was probably the best bargain on the beach. Clean rooms and comfortable.

This hotel is in a good location but needs updates. The sliding glass door was difficult to open and dirty. The air conditioner did not work so the maintenance guy tried to fix it but in the end it still did not work well. The water pressure of the shower was excellent but again the bathroom needed some desperate updates.

For the price I was quite comfortable. Older style furniture and appliances, but the bed was fine. Only issue was with the bathroom. Disappointing--The towels are very small and need some conditioner to soften them, furniture and curtains are very dated and need to be kept in better condition. Pillows need to be more plush,and it would be nice if the staff had asked these questions while I was there.

It served the purpose, but little else. No soap or tissues in our room; no blanket on the bed--just a sheet and bedspread. As we packed up to check out, we noticed water leaking from the ceiling. No frills for sure.

The mattress was horrible - it was lumpy and very uncomfortable. Only one elevator and no continental breakfast - only juice. Location is good but we could not move our car because the streets were blocked off for a race and loud rock music woke you up at 7am on Sunday morning when we were not ready to get up. This hotel is super old and definitely needs some sprucing up. The important ammenties were clean enough, toilet, shower etc, but the carpet was pretty nasty. For the price they have this is closest you can get to the beach for the cheapest. We were looking for a last minute, inexpensive hotel stay, within walking distance to the beach. It takes less than a minute to get to the beach and boardwalk, and the service was polite and helpful. The building is older and the room is smaller than some of the newer hotels, but they keep it clean and comfortable. I don't mind a hotel that is older, but I do want a clean room. The bath room was not cleaned during our entire week and I frequently had to request towels because they were not replenished. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was not as clean as I would expect it to be. It is very close to the beach which was great.

The good- great view, we were on the sixth floor and our front door faced the harbor and our back door had a obstructed view of the ocean. It was obstructed but because of the placement of the hotel, you could see around the large hotel in front of it on both sides. The ok- the breakfast was on the lower budget side, but I wasn't expecting a waffle […] station and was happy their was some variety. The room needed some love and repair, but everything did work. The bad- the cleanliness of the room was a little disappointing. Our window door had what I guess as hard water stains on it which meant you couldn't see the ocean at all without opening the door. There was garbage behind the nightstand that had been there a while. We did get fresh towels but the longer we sayed in the room we got less of them and they stopped being put in the bathroom despite the old being removed. The lady that checked us in was very rude. We asked about parking because their were no spaces left when we checked in. She gave us a pass to park in a city owned lot but we had to be in it by midnight because they locked the gate for the night. She was awful yet again. The room was disgusting...we pulled back the comforter on one of the beds and there were brown stains all over the back...in the shower there was hair all over the wall. Great location. A short walk to the Beach, souvenier shops, food and Rudy's Inlet for fishing off the breakwall. The room was clean, the hotel service was good and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was basic , Cereal, Toast, Juice, Coffee and hard boiled eggs. All the amenities worked. Hotel can use some renovation but it was fine for the price.

The location was great, we did have some noise from the planes flying over to the bases but it wasn't that bad only lasted a few minutes. Hotel is located at the end of the boardwalk so we never had to move our car. Rented bikes, did an all day pass on the bus, close to all the restaurants, it was a great location. Someone had been smoking in my non-smoking room so they brought up an air purifier machine while we went out to eat, came back and the room was perfect! One of the best birthdays I've had in years. It was just okay...but parking lot is inconvenient, they don't have enough space when they are fully book and i don't like the location of the building, it's in the middle of 2 roads which i find that is not safe if you have small children...All i can say is, it's the cheapest i got during a peak season but expect what cheap things gives you!....
