Stayed here for four nights in August/September. Were allocated a dark tired inside room on the third floor - asked for a change to a brighter & more recently decorated room on the fourth floor onlooking the street which was fine. Corridors were grubby, pool was in a poor state of repair and bar not well patroned. Breakfast had a good selection but […] could have sworn I got illness due to undercooked omelette which laid me low for a day. Realise I should have spent a bit more and stayed in a better hotel nearer the main attractions. Once refurbished the hotel could be a whole lot better. Staff were friendly enough. I do not think hotels.com should be listing this hotel until its improved. Value was very poor compared to hotels of like cost in Bangkok. Uzziniet vairāk

I had an inside room and so it was not as good as the ones that had windows facing out. For the money it was ok, the breakfast was really good. The pool needs more clorine. actually everything could use a good scrub..c.arpets seat covers on seats at downstairs coffee area

This hotel was great for a stop over - it was clean and had everything you could want. The staff were friendly and the bar/poor area was great fun. It's not too far from the main area which is good.

The rooftop swimming pool is the major drawcard at The Metropole. Rooms are clean and comfortable but decor is a bit drab and outdated. The hotel is on an intersection of two very busy roads, so be prepared for chaos when you walk out the front door. Overall, a good-value hotel and comfortable retreat from the city chaos.

definitely not 31/2 stars. not sure who does the rating, but not even 2 stars. service was so so. hotel definitely very dated and needs major renovation. not very clean. i'm vietnamese oversea, been back five times...stayed in 3-5 stars hotel, never had issue about reverse discrimination, but one incident really got my blood boiling. i ordered iced […] coffee, staff said it's late (8:30pm) for that, so i ordered hot tea, same thing. half hour later, a group of caucasian came barely sat down and there came out a pot of hot tea. i let the staff know my disdain for this. staff's reaction was "sorry", then walked about with a sly grin...i feel sorry for their ignorance. with due respect, breakfast bar was very good. Hotel is abit far from the Ben thay market. But you can take a taxi there, it will cost about $14000 equivalent to $1.50 SGD. Hotel staff are friendly. If you enjoy bigger room, please consider taking double bed instead of a king size bed. Bad experience with a taxi driver that drive a normal toyota car but charge at a limousine price. The meter can […] jump in 20 seconds at $2 SGD. End up the taxi fare fetch $680000 don equivalent to $60SGD. After a heated argument with the taxi driver, obviously don't understand our language, the driver has the cheek to give us a discount to reduce the fare to 600000 don. We have no choice and offer to give him a $10SGD and smoke him. Luckily he is stupid enough to believe $10 SGD is alot. The driver then agree to unlock the car and we run for our lifes.. I remember the taxi driver is without uniform and under (M.taxi Group). Please take note. Nothing much to shop at ho chi Min city, so you may consider to book day tour with the tour agency. Ask the hotel staff and they should be able to direct you to a stretch of tour agency. Do not book the tour directly from the hotel. It will cost 4 times higher than the price you are paying if you book from the tour agency. Their beers is cheap and if you love seafood, you can have a sumptuous dinner at a reasonable price. A excellent hotel to stay at. Staffs were really friendly and always had a smile on their face. They were also very professional and attended to any request by the guest as soon as possible. the beds were really comfortable and the pillows were really very soft adn comfortable. The hotel certainly performed beyond mt expectations leaving me delighted. the food was great. the breakfast was excellent. the breakfast was a international buffet with a wide variety of food for everyone. the club was really cozy and drinks were very much affordable. the hotel was also conveniently located. it was just a 10minutes walk to the famous bein than market. staffs spoke good english and were willing to lend a helping hand anytime to the guest. apart from just accomodation services, they are also able to help you book tours such as the cu chi tunnel tours and the mekong river tours and many more. certainly a excellent hotel to stay in. i would certainly recommed this hotel to all who wants to go to ho chi minh city. well done metropole for their professionalism and great service provided. i would certainly go back to the hotel again if i visit ho chi minh city again. great hotel and excellent staffs. the lobby is tacky and it's in a so so location. but that is ok since saigon is not the most cosmopolitan city to begin with. Just take a taxi everywhere. pretty small city. the rooms are well kept and clean. good hotel for the price

While not a 5 star Hotel the Metrople certainly offers great value. The hotel generally and our room in particular were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed there from the 17 - 23 September 2009 and was very pleased with our choice of hotel. Located in District 1 it was away from the "posh" end of town but as a taxi ride […] only cost 30,000 Dong (£1.00) the location is really immaterial. Good restraurant and rooftop pool too. This hotel was overpriced. You could go to a better hotel for similar price; such as the Equatorial (this was a great hotel in Siagon). At Metropole the pool was very small, the rooms were pretty small. HOwever, they do have good service. ROom services was very fast and general inquiries were answered timely.

Basic but affordable and good hotel. Can recommend. Walking distance to major sites in HCMC and the river (but may find crossing roads difficult unless you have 'blinkers on'!)

Wonderful service, helpful staff, great breakfast, lovely room, good pool, slightly out of the centre but everything is still in walking difference. Interesting history - US officers stayed there during the war... generally a good hotel, good value, service, food - everything you need!

This is one of the most excellent hotels in quality of services we've ever stayed. Nice staffs, helpful and always smile when seeing guests.

8月初旬に4泊しましたが、最後の宿泊のときに、夜中の３ＡＭ頃に、隣かその向こうの部屋を、数分置きに部屋から出たり入ったりしてしているようで、非常に困った。 強盗でも来ているのかと思って、気が気でなかった。 かなり、恐ろしい心持であった。 一人で泊まっていたので、フロントに連絡しても、グルになっていたら怖いし、どうすればよいか、悩んだ。 幸いに一時間程度で、静かになったが、恐怖の一夜でした。

このホテルは、気にいっています。　ただ、係の人の話によると、この秋ごろから改修に入って、5星ホテルに生まれ変わるらしいです。　現在の快適な所は残したまま（料金の点でも）、生まれ変わってほしい。

御社サイト経由で予約をしたため、チェックアウト時に領収書が出せないの一点張りでもめました。 今まで御社のようなサイトで予約をしてホテル宿泊すること数多くありましたが、このようなことを一度も言われたことがありません。 このホテルのレセプションの人だけが、このようなことを言います。 また無料のインターネットがある、と施設面に書かれていましたが、ロビーフロアだけであり、一般客室のWiFiは別途料金がかかる、とのこと。 このような記述も事前にはありませんでした。

Hotellet ligger lidt væk fra centrum, og man skal gå ca.15 min for eks. at komme til markedet, en halv time til katedralen, men der er fint fortov på den store vej ind til byen så det er nemt at gå. Hotellet var god, med alle nødvendighederne i orden og meget pænt og rent, med moderne badeværelse. Der var adgang til Internet i receptionen. Air Con anlægget […] blæste lige på sengen, hvilket var lidt generende men varmen taget i betragtning var det meget bedre end hvis der ikke var et anlæg. Generelt meget tilfredsstillende. 中心街から若干外れてはいるが、ペンタイン市場まで歩いても１０分くらいそこからドンコイ通りまで１０分くらいでウォーキングがてらちょうどよい、宿客は欧米の家族ずれやアベックが多くみられた。食事はまま。室内はツインで若干狭い感じがした。

Affordable hotel with great service. Most facilities in place (such as gym, pool, pool table, etc.) but with a sense of being somewhat outdated.

We was staying in a fine room and everything was okay. I can recommend this hotel.
