For our first stay at an Ibis hotel, we were very impressed and enjoyed all 4 of our nights there. Our flight arrived early in the morning, and they... were able to check us in right away. The location was perfect for us - a 2 minute walk to the Porte de Clignancourt metro which is at the end of the 4 line so you were always guaranteed a seat - only 1 transfer to the airport, and direct access to downtown Paris. The area, while a little more residential, had food options open throughout the night (and without the inflated prices you find downtown). Our room was on the 6th floor, with a view of the Sacre Coeur. The room was a little snug - it took some sidewards walking to pass the bed and the furniture was basic (no drawers, minimal closet space), but it seems that that's pretty standard in European cities. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and was slightly elevated (so much better than the showers that are only curtains so the water gets all over the floor). The room was very clean and modern - up-to-date design/bedding, flat screen tv. We also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi.
