The Holiday Inn Valencia is in a great position, 25 mins walk to old town, 25 mins to beach, 5 mins to city of Arts. The tour bus and local bus transport stops just outside, just ask at reception they're helpful and have maps and guides for you. The hotel is clean and tidy with restaurant, the drinks are expensive, 4.64 euros for pint(might be 500ml) […] of local beer. Had lunch once of hamburger and fries 10 euros and pizza and a drink for 10 euros also edible but 2 star for the price. Breakfast offer is if you purchase for your entire stay it's just under 10 euros a day per person, if you don't it's 14.40 euros, I didn't eat here and found a great place for breakfast 2mins walk away and 4 of us eat for 14 euros. We stayed in a double twin bedded room with our two boys aged 5 and 7 - very good value and special rate offered for breakfast (which was delicious) when we got there which we took advantage of. The staff were delightful from the moment we got there, from the front of house to the bar and restaurant staff to the cleaners. The children were made very […] welcome too. The only disappointment was that the pool was out of use - but I suppose that just because we English think it's warm weather in November, to the Valencians it must be cool! The hotel were eager to help in every way, but happy to suggest cost effective alternatives. Their whole attitude was to make life easy and comfortable. When we go back we will stay there again - perfect location for us as close to our daughter and a lovely twenty minute walk to the old town through the Turia. The number 19 bus stop is right outside the hotel which gets you to the bullring and station in ten minutes. We were disappointed with the towels at Holiday Inn. They were a bit grey and thin-not what you would expect in a 4*hotel. Where the taxis leave guests there are quite a lot of steps to climb, which is unacceptable if you have heavy luggage. However, there is a chair lift for people with disabilities. The hotel was very good it was a bit further than expected from the centre, but the route to the centre by foot takes you through the riverbed and this is a wonderful experience there is also a very good bus route. This is a very good hotel to choose if you are just staying for a few days in Valencia and want to see a variety of attractions. It is pretty much in the middle between the City of Arts and Sciences and the Old Town. Best to use buses rather than the Metro as the nearest station is about 15 minutes walk. There's a bus stop outside the hotel that serves […] the Old Town, but be sure to buy a multi-journey ticket from a kiosk as that cuts the cost in half. Good hotel for kids as it is one of the few in central Valencia with an outdoor pool (although it's pretty small). Also, the hotel is just next to the Parque Gulliver which is an adventure playground using a giant Gulliver as the slides and climbing frame, with the kids acting as little lilliputians. The hotel itself is clean albeit a bit shabby in places, but the room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always keen to sort out any problems. The buffet breakfast was very good value, although it could run a bit dry at times and you would have to prompt the waiters to fill up empty trays, etc. The surrounding area of the hotel is a little lacking in good restaurants and we found it better to eat in the Old Town rather than stroll round the adjoining streets looking for places. The negative parts were the breakfast that was very crowded and that closed at 10 and the parking situation: the only way to go in and pout of the parking of the hotel is by calling reception and I have had to get out of the car and go up to the reception for them to open the garage door and they […] would not hear the buzz of the door bell. Just back from 5 days in Valencia with the family (including two children (8/10)), we had a family room in this Holiday Inn which worked great for us. Overall we found the hotel to be very good, the staff were excellent and the restaurant was good for breakfasts (quality wise and the kids ate for free) and dinners (our kids can't yet make it to late […] dinners in the Old Town). Location wise it is between the Port area and the Old Town, directly opposite Gullivers and close to the main attractions in the Jardin de Turia. It was a bit far from the underground station, but the bus that goes straight into the centre of town stops just across the road. The room was small, but very clean and modern. We got into the Valencia train station on the Trenhotel at 5AM. There was not a taxi to be had so we walked all the way to this hotel. It probably took 2 hours but we really enjoyed seeing this city while everyone seems to be still asleep! No surprise that we were not able to check-in for a 2PM booking. We took breakfast at the Restaurante BCB, located […] on the street level of the hotel. While not impressed with the food nor the service, we were glad to be able to rest and wait. All the front desk staff were very helpful and we got into our room #912 way before 2PM! There is a bus right out side the hotel headed for the old center, but we never took it during our stay. The hotel is in a brilliant location for visiting with children. The staff were helpful and moved our room when we asked for more space. The only downside was that I think it had probably only recently been incorporated into the Holiday Inn chain and they were a little unsure of some of the offers such as free childrens meals that had been advertised. […] The staff were however happy to help at all times and in fact, excellent breakfast aside we didn't rate the hotel food enough to want to eat there - there are some lovely restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom seemed pretty standard compared to other hotels in Spain. The TV is old and the view from the hotel is nothing impressive but we only used the hotel as a place to sleep and shower and enjoy the beach from. The staff was very helpful and spoke English very well (a definite plus!)

Location, good for getting in and out of the city if you rented a car. Great parking facility under hotel for a fee. Staff was very helpful all around. First room was in a section that had a terrible odor and door on mini-frig was broken. Staff changed our room, no problem. Hotel was great except the room air conditioning was not working correctly, since we got in too late and too tired to complain, we lived through it through the night. We reported to the hotel in the morning, they did not offer any compensation for it, other than that hotel was fine.

Very good hotel at very reasonable price. 20min walk from the centre via the Turia gardens and adjacent to the Palace of Arts and Culture. A bit distant from a metro station but overall its a great hotel with a great location.

Long walking distance to the L'Oceanografic however it's a very lovely walk along the Paseo Turia (and it's a bit longer than it appears). Bus service for the city bus into the most popular areas is right in front and the Tourist Bus is on the corner. Easy to get around.

A good Holiday Inn hotel but not well situated for metro but taxis are fairly inexpensive. Breakfast in the main restaurant is 14€ or about 3€ pasteries and coffee in the bar....we did the latter. Well located for the Oceanographic and science museums

My wife and I went to Valencia for a weekend trip after moving to England (we missed the sun). We didn't put a lot of planning in to it, but found a cheap apartment on the beach called the pataconia? apartments which had very good reviews on tripadviser . Needless to say they sucked! So we haggled w/ customer service ended up paying 1/2 of one nights […] stay and peaced out. We then went on hotels.com and found a trusty holiday inn. We were very happy with this choice, heres why: Right across the street from a bus stop, amazing customer service, also across from the science and art park and a convenience store, and the rooms were very clean and modern. I was very satisfied with my recent stay at Holiday Inn Valencia. The staff is very helpful, the room was clean & comfortable, the Wifi worked great....all in all, I'd recommend this place to anyone. The location is within walking distance of some major tourist attractions, including Oceanographic & the Science Museum. I was just a bit surprised how […] quickly your bill can get much, much bigger. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast, nothing to write home about & in a buffet, help yourself style, but it cost 14 Euros (almost $19 ). Room service cost 13 Euros, on top of whatever you are ordering. The mini-bar prices are also high. I had one bag of laundry done while I was staying there & it cost me 45 Euros (small bag). Watch the extras! Once again, the staff is great & the pickist person will find no complaint with the comfort or cleanliness levels. It is a very well run establishment. The beds were comfortable. This hotel was close to a lot of restaurants, but they were all expensive restaurants. We chose to venture our more into Valencia to get better, cheaper food. Where this hotel is located is very touristy, but at the same time, you can walk about 15 minutes and be in someones backyard. The front desk left a lot to be desired. […] There was only one person checking people in and out, which made our wait time very long. But all in all, it's comfortable, I think overpriced though. valencia is a great place for a short break, it is a big, sprawling city, you will need at least 4 nights to get the most out of it. lotsof art and history, some great buildings such as la llonja and the mercado central, great food, obviously rice dishes, but lots more choice than just that, good shopping, the beach is great for a walk and a meal, the […] old fishermans quarter is very atmosheric, the turia riverbed is a very pleasant green space and the city of arts and sciences is just amazing. great for adults and kids. the fallas museum is fascinating, and free !! you will do a lot of walking becuse it is really nice to stroll around, but it is big, a much better place to visit than the very overrated barcelona.
