"American best value in Milwaukee, WI"
The counter person did not have my reservation. I had to wait about 10 minutes before she found it. They were not very friendly. The hallways smelt funny and the entry way was filthy. The surrounding buildings were horrible and I felt unsafe.
"Convenient & the Price is Right"
All we were looking for is an inexpensive place to stay on Milwaukee's south side-this place was the ticket. The room was basic, but had everything we needed, was quiet and conveniently located. The price was right-we would definitely stay here again.

Usually when i get a cheaper priced hotel, i expect the worst, this place was clean, smelled good, really nice parking area, surrounding area was clean, the room was nice and big and totally exceeded my expectation for the price i paid, and check out was noon, you dont see that much anymore, loved it, will stay there every game i go to in Milwaukee
"I would pick a different hotel"
Walls were very thin, could hear people in and outside the hotel (we had a room by the door though). The highway is also close and they have been doing construction for a while so that didn't help. Bed sheets had dark black hair on them, both of us staying in the room are light haired, which was gross. Bathtub wasn't the cleanest, there was a dead bug […] on the sink counter when we arrived. "Quick and Easy Hotel"
This hotel was ok.. It wasnt worth the price that I paid for it.. even though it was the executive suite.. It still was not up to par. There was a shortage in the electrical sockets, they didnt know how to turn on the jacuzzi tub, they didnt have a sign or anything assisting you to turn on the jacuzzi. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

We need somewhere to put our heads for a procedure at the Milwaukee VA hospital and it worked out fine. It was situated about 15 minutes away and was fine.

"Econolodge Milwaukee Airport - Maintenance issues"
I am very easy to please and not picky at all, but there were no bathtubs, shower on/off was so difficult to turn on I thought it was broken. The sink had the hot and cold switched - so I washed up with freezing cold water only to have maintenance come later and pull the shower handle on - the guy must have worked out for a month to be able to get that […] shower on. Otherwise, it was dirty on the floor around the hinges of the bathroom door. Continental breakfast consisted of toast and coffee or juice - that's pretty much it. "Never again"
I had 2 rooms. Mine was in the back, 2nd floor, the other in front, 1st floor. All night I had to listen to 24 hr freeway const 200 ft from my balcony. Trucks, back-hoes, front-end loaders. Then ADULTS having a good time all night running around the halls. Although my 86 yr old father heard no const, he was up all night courtesy of our friends in the […] hall smoking, and he has emphysema. I complained, nothing happened. We had to get up at 3AM for the honor flight to DC for veterans. My dad had the time of his life but coud probably had a better time had he had a little sleep! I would probably stay here again if it was for a short stay. Felt unsafe in the neighborhood-definitely a low class neighborhood. Hotel was hard to find, but convenient to where we were going. Although this is an older motel the rooms were kept clean and the staff was excellent and were helpful with anything I needed. I recently spent 11 nights with them and would do so again.

This hotel is terrible. There's no breakfast like it says, it smelled like cat yearn. The beds are hard, they never changed are sheets. They told us they would drive us to the Amtrak but once in the car said no an drooped us off on a bus stop, almost missed are train. They gave us terrible directions to get there. The service is awful an non existed. […] The next door restaurant is terrible. The Ac is either to cold or to hot. We arrived late after a concert. I was very hesitant after reading some of the reviews posted here but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and spacious. Also very affordable compared to some of the options around downtown Milwaukee. This hotel IS a great value. The location is accessible by highways and was close to our destination ( a bowling alley). The staff was friendly, pleasant and helpful. There is a reason this seem affordable. There is major highway construction going on right next to the hotel. That means constant noise and no clear pathways to drive to the hotel. This was a very old hotel, which showed in every aspect...worn carpet, dirty windows, smell of cigarette smoke and an overall desperite need for remodeling. To make matters worse, there was street constructon going on all around and it made it almost impossible to find the hotel. "Ok room"
Our room was clean and comfortable enough, but the hotel seems to be struggling lately. The pool is not in use, they have discontinued the continental breakfast as of June 8th, 2011, and the road construction blocking the highway entrance to I-94 north is quite inconvenient.

"Great for the price"
This hotel was more than I expected. The room was bigger than I expected. It was very clean. We had a fridge in our room which I didn't expect. In the description it said "bathtub only", but it was actually a "shower only", which I preffered. It wasn't too hard to get to even with the road construction. There were plenty of restaurants within a few […] miles and the restaurant next door had very good food. Hotel had overbooked 12 people; luckily (maybe not) we had a room. It was never cleaned during our stay, and the hotel made NO apologies, even when solicited about the failure to clean the room. There was a problem with children running loose in the hallways, the swimming pool being out of commission, and the complete lack of any employee concern in […] welcoming us, or in trying to assist with the constant noise in the facility. "Not That good"
I checked into the hotel, then went to my room, and got a little freaked out when three men walked right into my room without knocking. They were there to fix the curtins in the room...Why did they not fix them before i checked it? That also wasted more of my time waiting for them to fix it. The room was so hot, i could not adjust the temperature....the […] air conditioner did not work, and the heat just kept blaring out of the ducts. i had complained to the front desk, and they had said that i was not the only one with the hot room. "Good place to crash after a Brewer's game"
I'm not very picky, and I've definitely stayed in worse places. The staff was pleasant and it was easy to find even with the exit being under construction. I would have liked to see the room cleaned better-but it wasn't a deal-breaker since we just needed a place to sleep after the baseball game. Overall it wasn't bad.

"A horrible scary nights stay"
I booked this hotel only because our previous hotel had mysteriously canceled our reservation the day before our trip. So I was in a rush. Upon arriving to the hotel the front desk area smelled badly. Then when we were entering the hotel to go to our room, on one of the doors there is a sign telling you to take all of your valuables out of your car […] and lock it. Which we did. The room was old and nasty. The carpet was dirty, and the bathroom was disgusting. We would have went to another motel but we arrived late from a Brewers game, and my kids were tired and the bedding seemed fresh. While in the room looking through the guest hotel book there was a full page of security measures, asking you to not open the door until you are certain you know who you are letting in and such. It was very frightening. All night long we heard people on their balconies yelling and playing music very loudly. In the morning the shampoo and conditioner were not new, and were not even close to being full. The continental breakfast was a joke. There were four bagels and six muffins, orange juice, and oat meal packets but no hot water. We are a family of five so we didn't even bother. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Great value for the money! Room was spacious, clean and not too out of date like most cheaper hotels/motels. I appreciated the quietnes, but maybe that was because it was not at capacity. Very close to the airport and right off the freeway. Only drawback would be the traffic noise for rooms facing the freeway, but not too bad. On the whole I think the […] place is well maintained. Check in was fast and curtious. The room was nicely furnished with 2 beds, desk, and recliner. The front desk was helpful with directions. We had 2 roonms and everyone in my group was happy, I will stay here again.

The hotel was old, and had a horrible odor. Ther rooms were cold, old and smelled badly. The beds were not comfortable and linens were worn out. Heater in room did not work properly. Called front desk for additional pillows and was told they have none
