It was acceptable with the exception of my having requested towels and cofffee in lieu of room service. I receives coffe without the required condiments and cups. When I called and ske dfor these I was told they would be brought to my room in an hour. They never arrived.

Room was cozier than expected, nice view, friendly reps, hot breakfast.

We, four in all, needed a room ASAP and found the accomodations thru hotels.com. We were very pleased with the ammenities offered including the complementary breakfasts, and coffee and juice available most of the day and night. We also made use of the laundry room. This hotel seemed pleasant upon arrival. Once I tried to check in I was told to come back in an hour even though I was there at appropriate time. My main gripe or issue was upon entering room with my children who are 8 I discovered a BED BUG on the room. My family was very disturbed so I brought the little critter to the front desk and we got into a […] debate whether it was a bed bug. I then approached maintenance and they confirmed my guess which I already knew do to working in hotels from time to time I was told I would be given a new room on a different floor facing the opposite direction which is the right thing to do. The problem I had was there was no apology or follow up from a manager or above or any concern thereafter. I was not and did not request anything further but being I stayed several days and actually needed to book one more day I feel the least they could of done was offer me a discounted rate or at the very least comp my family and I for something It would of been as easy as that , just the thought and there ranking would of been probably a 4. i stayed at this hotel for business. Everything about the hotel was satisfactory. the only complaint was that it is on a one way road which makes it inconvenient to get around or jsut jump out and grab a bite to eat. The staff is nice and this hotel has one of the better fitness facilities I have experienced.

Great location, excellent price, nice hotel plus complimentary breakfast...cant go wrong! I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

* The exhaust fans throughout the hotel did not work...my family used a number of rooms & none of them were functional. * The pool was so hot that it could not be used for excercise. Even young children abandoned it because it was uncomfortably warm. * In the fitness room, three of the machines did not work properly. On the first one I used - an elyptical […] - the foot pad did not have a holding rim & I did not notice this. My foot slipped out and I almost fell on my side. I am glad that I am fit and could recover before a fall woud have happened. * We reserved a block of rooms, but obtained our reservation outside of the group. * I registered over the internet via Hotels.com and rented 2 rooms (better price). We traveled with my 90 year old mother for a family wedding. Two days prior to our arrival, I called the hotel to arrange for the rooms to be across the hall from each other. In this way I would be quickly acessable to her. I was told that they would be held that way. * Upon arrival we were in room 516 and she was at the end of the hallway in room 520. I booked this room at the last minute but felt confident that it would work out well since others had listed it at 4.1. The air conditioner was poor and not functioning well. There were ashes in the ashtray left from the last patron. The evening staff were not very cordial or knowledgeable. I asked for help with something forgotten and theory were not […] very helpful. 99% excellent A negative I opened up my washcloth and found a long black hair inside. Otherwise a very high level of cleanliness. Wallpaper getting a little warn in spots. towels were exceptionally soft and fluffy especially at this price level. Most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on!

The bed was comfortable; the sheets were clean; the staff gave great service.

The morning after the most recent night we stayed here, April 9, 2011, we learned that four vehicles in the parking lot (including that of a family member) had been broken into, with various items stolen. There are posted signs noting that the hotel is not responsible for such events, possible indicating that it happens with some frequency. The hotel offers a shuttle service that takes you to the LIRR which has convenient travel to manhattan.

The beds and pillows are very comfortable. This stands out above the rest! The staff is friendly and accommodating. They don't have a very fancy breakfast menu but they have coffee and tea available 24/7!

I booked these rooms for my family antiicipating a very clean facility with full breakfast included. When we arrived the parking lot was all ripped up under construction and parking was scarce. There was also not full breakfast because they were replacing something and would not be available during our stay and beyond. The rooms themselves were less […] to be desired, floors were dirty, broken and missing tiles in the bathroom which had no exhaust fan. On the thrid floor where some of my family was staying they had the carpeting all ripped up in the hallways. I heard a number of folks complaining about the air conditioning not working on their floors. Nice place to stay right off the LIE in central Long Island, close to Suffolk County Community College. Beds were very comfortable, pool area ok, nothing special, water was warm and clean. Small exercise area with dry heat sauna. Breakfast buffet was poor. No hot waffles like other hotels, just orange juice, yougurt, cold cereal, and bagels with a toaster. […] A nice IHOP was only 5 minute drive away, and a Dunkin Donuts was almost walking distance. The Holiday Inn Express was ok for what it was. There was no room service but I saved money. They have food in a little vending area and you can charge it to your room. There's a nice new york italian restaurant within walking distance. I got a non-smoking room. As usual on the east coast, the whole hotel smelled vaguely of smoke. The bed was comfortable. […] The room had thermostatically controlled A/C which was nice. The shower head was large and the spray was anemic. So, not great, but not bad for the money. Hotel very easy to find and locate. Free amenities such as breakfast and the free pop corn was a hit with the kids. Same goes for the video games equipment in the room that kept the kids busy and occupied while me and my wife chilled out in the room. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

I HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE. THE BREAKFAST HAS BEEN REDUCED- NO HOT FOOD & NO CIMNABUNS. THE BATHROOM WAS NOT WELLED CLEANED. THE THREE NIGHTS WE WERE THEIR THE SAME DIRTY SPOT WAS ON THE FLOOR. UNDER THE LOWER SOAP IN THE BATH TUB WAS DIRTY.

Room is clean and comfortable. Ice Machine on our floor was broken and the ice bucket was very dirty. There were small mildew stains on the shower curtain and the exhaust vent in the bathroom showed it had not been cleaned in MONTHS. Plenty of parking and breakfast quick, through the selection is limited.

For the price I could not have asked for more... check in was quick and efficient, room was nice and the AC was a welcome break from the heat outside. The breakfast was light... bagels, cold cereal, packaged danish, juice. But for the price, sufficient to get the day started.

This hotel was easy to find because it was right off the main road. However, you didn't hear the traffic at night. Location was good and made it easy to get around. Close to restuarants and grocery stores. The only thing that could use improvement was the continental breakfast. Choices were very limited. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast. Facility was clean and nice but the breakfast selections left a lot to be desired. Only two cereal selections; would have liked a better bagel selection. No hot entree (i.e scrambled eggs at least). Packaged Danish? Really? Yuck.

dryer was broken, breakfast was cereal, prepackaged muffins, yogurt, prepackaged bagels, delmonte fruit cup. I would have liked some fresh fruit. Housekeeping would pick up all of the towels in the am and not return with clean towels until 5pm. I had to frequently search for towels, one time it was 11pm and no towels to be found. The breakfast was only […] until 9 am and they were often out of coffee and food items. It seemed that all of the problems were due to short staff. I also had a problem with gym in which they offered membership to local residence. These members were not thrilled about my children playing in the pool during their workout time and the 3 treadmills had the same 3 members on them for 1 hour each morning.
