N-Resort All Inclusive for adults — Falmouth

Once you get to "N" and through the gate it's a miniature au natural Shangri La...twelve two story rustic cottages each with four over four rooms situated on impeccably manicured grounds. It's a neat fun place! Some reviews will note that it's a little too rustic...and there's some truth to that but soon overlooked. Our room was quite comfortable. Room […] preference should be oceanfront cottages 10, 11, or 12 and if ocean view cottage 8 for instance 2nd floor. There are few resorts of this kind, "N" the only one on Jamaica and it's a jewel. Sure it needs some improvements but nothing so dramatic that they'll detract from a really delightful vacation in the buff...and buff goes 90% of the time...but is is also clothing optonal...so ladies if you want some cover no big deal. The staff is fabulous...ever reviewer say this and believe it. They make it work...so you soon forget the blemishes. We divided our time between the beach and pool...there aren't enough umbrellas at the pool and none on the beach and the beach wind blows nearly a constant 10 to 12 knots every day sometimes harder...that's a minor downside. Check the evening activity schedule on the web site before you depart...some events are costumed...and if you're into that you may want arrive prepared..."leaf night "or "white night" for instance...but if you rather not. Sanchez, one of the chefs, does great things with an economical food budget...and on the whole dining is good...not excellent but very good. Stay for more than a week and it might get repetitive. Incidentally, if you cared too, you could eat breakfast or dinner wrapped in a towel...that's passable...but most are dressed to their comfort level. Sitting towels are available at the entrance...you get the idea! Dining at the pool is as textile free as you want. The Breezes Resort is next door to the left (facing the sea) and an easy stroll down the beach...wear a suit. "N" resort was a delightful surprise! We are not into "lifestyle" and had heard mixed reviews about it on all levels. However, we found it a great, fun and relaxing vacation. Food truly outstanding. Staff very friendly and made every effort to make stay enjoyable. Pool beautiful and great games of pool volleyball multiple times a day for guests that […] wanted to play. Body painting. No pressure from entertainment staff. Rooms a bit "rustic" but immaculate. Hot-tub not very warm at night and too many of the same songs over and over by the pool are our only complaints. We did bring our own ipod and cd's but some entertainment staff reluctant to play it. Hot-tub was drained and cleaned nightly. Beach very nice and beautiful views. When we were there, we were told it was about 50% occupancy. We found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Freddie, the "N" manager, was an ever-present site day and night. He was easy to talk to and open to suggestions/etc. We have absolutely NO complaints about this resort although some guests were complaining that it was old. If you are looking for a new resort with marble floors/etc, this is probably not the place you should consider going. BUT if you want a CLEAN, friendly, relaxing, fun atmosphere with daily and nightly entertainment optional, then we think you would highly enjoy it. It was completely AN and at night most people opted to wear just cover-ups to dinner. There were "theme nights" with quite a bit of participation. We used to go to GLB until it closed and now go to HBR - it ranks right up there with both, and at times, even surpasses both on some levels. So, if you want a fun, relaxing, clean place with outstanding food, service and beach/pool/views, then it is highly recommended. We will be going back as soon as we can and are even considering canceling our next trip to HBR to travel to "N" instead. It was a wonderful place. Bottom line – would return for 5-7 days - any longer and the thrill of having escaped the cold might be replaced by some degree of boredom setting in. If you simply enjoy relaxing by a large pool and don't require lots of late night entertaining, this is your spot. About 50-60 daily guests during our stay, but understood perhaps 120+ would be checking in weekend before Valentine’s. Planned a rendezvous with another couple although we made instant friends with most everyone. It was a good crowd mostly in their 50’s and 60’s happy to see the sun. ROOMS are rustic, but in a charming way. Beds are good – the a/c worked well – and the water was always hot. Nice fridge in room plus coffee maker and 19” TV with maybe 12 channels to choose from. Definitely not Hi-Def , but we only watched rarely. BUGS!! Here’s a tip: keep your doors and windows closed to avoid feeding bugs while you slumber. Even screens on open windows seem not to exclude them. Just keep your a/c running and awake happy. Also, at the beach night dinner use lots of protection. Pests are dormant under sand during heat of day, but at night you are yummy smorgasbord. I lathered my wife’s legs using an OFF towelette just before we went to dinner – but she still got attacked. (just too irresistible) One of the games played is to find the buried wine bottles and the energetic lady next to wife really kicked up the sand. POOL is huge and a consistent 4.5 feet deep, making for great volleyball if you can get the crowd off their butts. A pool bar/grille/eating area is located on the beach end of pool behind a glass wall allowing ocean views while stopping blowing sand. HOT TUBS – two of them flank the pool bar/grill. The resort probably had the nicest staff of any resort I've stayed at in the past 5 years. Freddie the manager is a constant presence. The resort itself is dated, but very clean. The quality of food was decent and available at convenient times. The proximity to Montego Bay is a plus. We just returned from a week at the N Resort. It is by far the nicest all-inclusive resort we have ever stayed at. We have never expereinced service like they provide. If we wanted anything, the staff went far above and beyond to provide it. My English husband is an avid football (soccer) fan and there was a big game that was to be played the second […] day we were there. We could not find it broadcast on any of the televisions. He asked David the bartender about it and David contacted Freddy, the GM, and sure enough, Freddy got the game on the big screen TV and kept sending in drinks and snacks while we watched it. I have never been anywhere with service like that. Words cannot describe the service. Bartenders Christine, David and Julius were always smiling and refilling our glasses. The "dirty bananas" and "Bob Marley shots" were outstanding. We were spoiled by Aleecia always bringing our drinks to the lounge chairs by the pool with a smile. The food at N is outstanding. There were always choices to suit anyone's dietary preferences. Some meals were a la carte and some were buffets. Assistant chef Jeffrey takes great pride in the cuisine at the resort and it shows. The food was well-prepared and elegantly presented. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of familiar and new foods to try. One of the highlights of vacations for me is that I can watch a man make me an omelet every day! I am sorry that I did not get his name, but the "omelet man" at N resort did it fabulously and taught me a bit about Jamaica while I waited. Lunch is served at the grill by the pool. There are lots of options and really, really good jerk chicken and pork. I recommend a jerk chicken wrap prepared by Nadra. Late one night we even had to stop for one on our way back to the room. I am sure we had burned all the calories while dancing!
