Front desk staff are friendly and accomodating (except for one, it might also be cultural). I needed my boarding pass printed and staff cheerfully offered to do it in their computer. Pros: 1) bed comfy, 2 chairs & table made room. 2) Only a 2 block walk to the French Quarter. 3) Great breakfast: the usual muffins and pastries, fresh fruit, but also bacon or sausage, fruit, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs. PS. elevators worked fine. CONS: 1) In our 5th floor room there was no hot water 3 of our 5 days. It took over 10 minutes for […] water to get tepid. After 3 complaints to front desk the afternoon desk person sent a maintenance man up to the room and we had hot water for that night and the next morning. Then the 10 minute wait again, tho this time water finally got hot. 2) Carpets were vacuumed, but in dire need of cleaning. Bathroom very small. "Great location, but sleeping difficult"
Location was very good, Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, when the food was actually available - run outs were frequent. However the mattresses should have been replaced in 1980 - both had ruts in the middle. You had to hang onto the edge to prevent rolling into the middle. Beware the Cable Cars if your room faces the street. […] They run from 6:15 AM to close to 12 MN and are very, very noisy. No business center to print airline tickets.
