Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi — Corpus Christi

We liked the room, service and the breakfast. We were totally satisfied with the hotel that we made reservations at another Hawthor hotel but this time in San Antonio. The cleanliness, the hotel staff was great. I will definitely be staying at Hawthorm hotels from now on

I was extremely disappointed Had a damp musty smell. Floors had not been swept. Carpet stains everywhere. Bed was hard and not comfortable. I was expecting a Wyndham experience but got a bad version of a Motel 6. Never again will I stay there or any other Hawthorn Suites.

Our check-in was fast, and our room was very clean. Nothing was worn or old looking, either. We were in an accessible room, so the bathroom was spacious. The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from the beach, which was close enough, and allowed us to pay slightly lower than waterfront prices. Breakfast was great, and had a variety of choices. Saturday there […] were eggs, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, toast, bagels, muffins, make-your-own waffles, and fruit. Sunday there was sausage instead of the bacon. The kitchen is next to the dining area and the staff are constantly filling whatever has run out. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again when we visit. Uzziniet vairāk

Overall the room was nice, the staff was very friendly. The only issue was you have to wait 5-10 min. to get hot water to the third floor.

We visited Corpus for a State DI tournament. The accommodations here were perfect. Clean lobby, large rooms with lots of room! Generous continental breakfast, friendly staff, clean, quite and perfect for our quick weekend! The pool was an added plus for the kids. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Corpus Christi area. Close to major […] attractions and restaurants and easy to get to. A walmart was close by along with a subway for quick meals. Custodians were mopping during the day which made the floors wet & slippery which caused several kids in our group to fall and one child hit her head & blacked out for 30 seconds.

Excellant value! Coveniently located for any attractions in the Corpus area. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff goes out of the way to accomodate any need you may have. After finally finding this hotel in Corpus, I've never stayed anywhere else whn I come to town.

the hotel was clean and the rooms are very spacious....nice big flat screen tvs in each area....we had a suite so there were 2 tvs.... only glitch was we tried to check in at 3pm and the room wasn't cleaned yet...we had to wait about 30 minutes to check in....breakfast was ok...not great but it is free...employees were very nice and helpful...overall […] we enjoyed our stay.... Rooms super clean and superior bedding!! Front lobby is very pretty,! Free cocktails every nite from6 to 8! Great place to relax and unwind laundry facilities were adequate!! Good fitness equipment! Full breakfast with eggs ,bacon! Not the usual free breakfast!! Staff were great and helped us a lot as I became very ill and had to seek out medical attention! […] We booked out to go to an urgent care and ended up coming back to the hotel and booked back in!! They gave us a suite for the same price just so I could sleep!! Very thoughtful of them!, overall I loved this hotel, too bad I was too sick to enjoy all the amenities! The front desk service was not very good when we checked in; first he could not hear us when we called to say we would be late; then went by hotel first and it took him forever; acted like we were not on the list; then after 15 minutes told us the room was not ready it was 4:30. Not too far from attractions? Good size rooms? Had studio. Used the mini fridge to store cold drinks. Close to Corpus attraction and city. There was a Sam's Club a walk away as well as a Luby's cafeteria. Walmart was across the highway. Some restaurants as well. One I remember for sure was a BW3 for sports fans. Nice, clean and comfortable for a short stay. Not really convenient if you want to explore the Corpus Christi nightlife and just walk for a drink directly from the hotel. However the connection via the South Padre Island Drive (SPID) or the Crossway into the Bay area is very fast and easy. The breakfast could have been more variable.

Hotel’s room was clean. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel location was close to highway, so it was a bit noisy. The swimming pool was very small. The hotel’s room didn’t have good landscape just road and high way without any green area and trees.

Hotel staff was friendly, social hour was fun, breakfast was good, room was pleasant. overall great stay! thanks! :)

The hotel was much nicer than expected, Staff was friendly and prompt. Breakfast was just okay (but free). Beds were very comfortable, hotel was VERY clean. Pool area was nice. Would stay again.

Good place to stay has everything you need plus good breakfast. Happy hour and friendly front desk people. Location is close to everything I need to get to resturarants, movies, beach etc

We stayed here over Thanksgiving while visiting family. The hotel was clean and we had plenty of room. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Corpus Christi.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff was super friendly and even allowed us to check in early (thankfully - since we had been on the road since 4 am!) Our room was clean, and actually had more amenities than we knew about - including a microwave and fridge. The bathroom was clean, which is a HUGE thing for me. The bed was seriously […] the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever been in. I usually toss and turn all night in a hotel trying to get comfortalble - not the case at all. We honestly didn't want to get up the next morning. If I had to play devil's advocate and point out any negatives, it would be that the internet seemed to run pretty slowly. Since it was free it didn't really bother us, but if you plan to be "working' while you are there it could be an issue. The A/C also seemed to not work all that well as the night went on. We survived since it was November, so it was slightly less hot than normal in Texas, but I'm not sure how it would have done in the hottest part of summer. Other than those minor issues, there isn't really anything negative to say. We are already talking about trying to take a more relaxing trip to Corpus, and we've pretty much decided this is the hotel that we want to stay at. Uzziniet vairāk

the room is advertised as a suite. It is not. Standard room. No conditoner, no lotion. in bath. Standard items in every hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast seemed ok if I would have gottten there earlier. 20 minutes before the close all the hot food was left to degenerate. It was hard sausage, over cooked eggs and watery juices. When i first arrived it had all the glamour of a 4 star hotel. until i got to the room, it seemed a little small for a suite. and the ac seemed it did not work very well at night. I loved the pool are and the breakfast was better than average.

My boyfriend and I went to Corpus for a week vacation at the end of July. The hotel was in the middle of the two things we went there for; the Lexington (which was a 16 minute drive to) and beach at Mustang Island (which was about a 30 minute drive). It was easy to locate places near and around the hotel. The hotel from the outside is nice, but inside the management is really not updated: 1) this is called a suit-motel, but the room we have is so small, which is just like an ordinary double bed-room, only with a sofa. 2) The hotel seems wanted to save energy, for everyday it switches off light after dark in the lobby, so that no guest can use the lobby […] for reading, or anything else. 3) the breakfast quality is just fair, the quality is not enough, usually the staff usually wait until the last 15-30 minutes to refill the breakfast table. 4) the hotel operator was hardly available to receive our call for service, actually there was barely to have anyone answer the call- especially after evening; even no one was there at evening after dark. 5) the room service was not satisfactory, too. Cause I doubt whether the staff from house-keeping had vacuumed the carpet for us. So i would not recommend this hotel to anyone, for the price we paid for does not match the services we had expected. we stayed here this past weekend because it was affordable & only a short drive to mustang island. it was a no frills type of place, but it was perfect for what we needed. i was glad they served breakfast, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I stayed in a King/Suite room. The room was spacious with a living room area, kitchen area, and the bedroom. The bedroom had a door to allow privacy from the rest of the suite. There was a telivision in the living room area and the bedroom. I was impressed with the room considering the cost. I plan on staying here again.

We recently took a family vacation to Corpus Christi for 3 nights. Upon our arrival to Hawthorn Suites, we were greeted by friendly staff, and the atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting. Our room was available immediately. We had booked a 2-queen suite, but in addition to the 2 queen beds, there was also a sleeper sofa. All of us were able to […] sleep comfortably during our visit. Overall, the cleanliness was fine, but we noticed that the floors were not well vacuumed. There was visible "lint" along the walls that had obviously collected and neglected over a period of time. I felt like there were not enough towels provided for the number of guests in our room. On our second night, the toilet got stopped, and I went to call the front desk...only to find that the phone in our room was also not working. I called from my cell phone and was given the impression that the matter would be handled promptly. Nothing was done until I visited the front desk the next morning. The person I then spoke with, presumably a manager, indicated that maintenance was not available at night...so I wonder why I was told the night before that something would be done right away? It was handled properly after my 2nd request. I don't think the phone was ever checked out, so it's a good thing I didn't need to use it again. The continental breakfast was disappointing. There were not a whole lot of options, and those they did have were not that great. The eggs were slightly undercooked. The orange juice tasted funny. The yogurt was still frozen. The waffles were toaster waffles and not the more impressive Belgian waffles offered by many comparable hotels. There was not a lot of seating, but it could have been that single men were sitting at tables for 4 while they read the morning paper, while those of us with 5 in our party scrambled to pull up enough chairs. Friendly staff. Clean room and pool. Best room I have ever stayed in for that price. Loved it

The rooms seemed clean but your pool didn't feel clean at all... it was murky also the extra pillow and blankets feel like they had been in the closet for some time.

This hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly. It was very clean. We had everything we needed. We highly recommend this hotel!

The building is older and it is obvious in some of the rooms. However the staff is great and rthey really try to accomadate you and your rerquest.

Everything was great. The only problem was that there was only one chair to sit on to eat

Placed the reservation via hotels.com -- two rooms with double beds each. When we arrived, the manager (terrible attitude) told us that hotels.com had only sent one reservation with double beds and one with a king bed, and that there were absolutely no other rooms available. Called hotels.com, confirmed our correct reservation. Once I showed the manager […] that hotels.com had the correct reservation, she told us she would 'try to resolve the issue'. This was a very nice place to stay, I think. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sauna as advertised, but they had complimentary drinks, which weren't advertised. Overall, everything was clean and I was very satisfied! To me, the beds were extremely comfortable and looked and felt very clean.

The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndam in Corpus Christi was a great place to stay! The entire visit there was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful, the pool and hot tub was set up very resort like, and the rooms were above average quality. The staff was very helpful and courteous. And the location is easily accessible to Corpus Christi. Right in the middle of […] restaraunts and shopping, it is also within 20 min. of beach access and downtown Corpus. The hotel staff very friendly. We took advantage of the happy hour each day befor dinner which was fun. We ate the cookies they were great snak. The pool was clean and refreshing after. Day at the beach. The room was great. Ther were four women in it and we got along great with extra room available to us. We had a great stay at this hotel. We loved the evening reception with open bar (snacks and cokes for the children who grabbed them and took them to the room) Adults only in the lounge. Wonderful breakfast! (a bit crowded after 8am) but still good with hot food items too such as eggs and bacon. The in room fridge and m/w were also nice for keeping juice […] cold for the children. My family as well as I have the most enjoyable stay at Hawthorne. Our room was spacious enough for two adults & 3 children and I couldn't have been happier. We had two suites; two adults & two children in each. Was a bit concerned whether we were going to be assigned nearby and fortunate to be directly across the hall since we had two young children. The younger two were boys and enjoyed everyday in the swimming pool which was surprisingly clean compared to other experiences with other suite hotels. Working […] in a healthcare facility, we were a bit conscientious of the cleanliness of the rooms, but were comfortable and at ease although neither one of our refrigerators maintained adequate cooling temperature. With most of our daily destinations nearby, it made each day fulfilling. Complimentary breakfast buffet was nice providing we arrive at first serving otherwise it's like having leftover scraps. We were so pleased with the room, we thought about staying one extra day.
