The hotel was pretty good, I usually always get pretty good hotels based on other customer views when I book online. Monterey Bay is really nice, I really liked the hot daily breakfast as I was traveling with a lot of children. One of the female servers was very snippy with the guests but my mind tells me she'll never change. THe majority of the staff […] was quite accomadating & pleasant. It's a great location & very clean & updated. I would definitely stay here again if I come with a smaller group. My only complaint would be the elevators. There are only three elevators for the entire hotel. I think it needs to have at least 4-5 elevators for a hotel this size. Overall we truly enjoyed ourselves & having the necessary cooking & eating utensils on-site was awesome. Uzziniet vairāk
"Just ok"
Toilet over field, breakfast was just ok. Pool area was not clean. Once the jets turned off you could see hair and other unidentifyable materials floating in it. Decor is way outdated. Sofa is tiny and you can hear people in the pool area from the room.

Very happy with our stay, the breakfast was great, lots of variety and choice. We would definately stay there again. We loved the pool on the 10th floor and lazy river and other pools.
"Just Not Overwhelmed"
The room that I was placed on the 11th floor was very distractful with a lot of door slamming all night. Also, when someone in the room beside me would take a shower @ 1am would awaken me from my sleep. The hotel was too far away from the attractions down such as the boardwalk and pier. There was nothing that we could walk to. We had to drive everywhere […] and pay for parking. The breakfast was good, but other than that I don't think that I will be staying at this hotel again. Also, I don't think that the rooms are cleaned only straightened up. The bed didn't have fresh linens and the toilet wasn't cleaned. There also was a towel (when I arrived) that had a speck of blood on it, and it stayed in the bathroom my entire stay. I didn't touch it and neither did the cleaning crew. The hotel didn't have that "WoW" factor that I was expecting. The room layout was backwards...we walked into the bedroom and the sitting area and the kitchen was on the back side of the room. I didn't like that at all. If the rooms were vice versa maybe I wouldn't have heard the slamming doors all night every night. But anyway, you live learn and pay for it all. Uzziniet vairāk

"good deal for the weekend"
This hotel was comfortable and quiet--the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was nice as well. We'd recommend this hotel!

Hotel was nice. Bed was comfortable. Disappointed that the kiddy pool was very cold. On the second night of the stay the inside hot tub was very hot and not enjoyable at all.

The staff was extremely polite and hospitable. The rooms size was awesome and the bed was very comfortable. The only gripe I could find is with the noise level if the A/C unit was a little higher than need be. This room had water pressure that was even better than my own home. I will definitely be back this summer!

I did enjoy my stay a couple weeks ago. However, the room was a bit dirty in the bathroom and the parking garage is miserably tight. Overall I would recommend staying.

The hotel was fair, the beds were really uncomfortable. I did like the room layout, it was convenient. The maids did not clean our room until the day before we left. They did give us some towels everyday. The layout was terrible, elevators right outside my room. So noisy we could not sleep most nights. The elevators were slow and in need of repair. "Beach holiday"
Surprised that the unit was quite old. The carpet smelled of American cigs even though nonsmoking unit. There was no counter room to use the dirty coffee pot . Nonetheless, we had a nice view from our private balcony and we liked the beach better than in the main tourist area. The pool was on our floor as well as ice. The fridge made ice as well. "The Monterey Bay Hotel in Myrtle Beach"
For the price I expected a little more from this hotel. The breakfast was substandard and you could tell it wasn't fresh. The check-in area is small and very informal. This is, very much, a "family" type hotel. If you are not there with your family I would choose a different hotel.

we where so disapointed!! we wanted a 2 bedroom suite only to find out the the rooms where muti rooms. with 2 beds in one room making the room super small! the whole place was wet!!! the whole place was so small!!! paying as much as we did a night I would think that it would have been alot better!

1st get an oceamfront suite-the view is spectacular In addition; The hotel has complimentary parking & a full breakfast with eggs; grits & sausages. The staff was helpful & there are plenty of pools for adults and kids. There are restaurants and shopping close by (GPS definitely was helpful) but we really could have managed without it. The only downside […] is the parking garage is very tight. Take your time and you will be fine if you have an SUV Van or Truck park on the lower levels. We have a toddler & we had a great time. "Don't stay here"
We booked this place because it is close to the places we were familiar with in North MB. At first glance it seemed ok. As we were putting things in the fridge I noticed a busted/frozen can of AMP(the sports drink) in the freezer. After notifying the staff we were assured it would be taken care of fast. Next morning the frozen mess was still there. […] Looking at TV that night I noticed a beer can under the TV. I decided to leave it there to see if the maid would move it. The thing never moved in 4 days. We don't smoke so found it unpleasant having to pick up cigarette filters from the balcony. I don't think the cleaning people deserve any raises. With construction workers vehicles parked in the lower parking spaces, we found it safer to park across the street than to navigate the tight turns to the higher parking decks. I would recommend this hotel. Kid friendly, clean, good breakfast with serveral hot and cold options, Front desk people are great. They are in the process of building a 4th elevator which will help the traffic. We were on the 16th floor. The beach was very nice, well kept.......Thank you! Army Wife, NC

"Nice place for family stay"
This was our first time staying here. The indoor pools were perfect for our 3 and 5 year olds. The breakfast in the morning was nice, plenty of choices for the kids. I jogged each morning and did not have any issues with the neighborhood. The beach was great, not too crowded as there is not huge hotel/resort after huge resort in this area. There was a false alarm that went off at 3:00am on Tuesday morning. The housekeeping service never supplied us with clean kitchen towels or even use windex to clean the […] glass table and we were there for 4 nights. Bed sheet were stained. Toilet seat looked like it was the first one when the building was built. Kitchen was nice but tight. If you like ripping up the bottom of your car or van park in their garage.

Our view was wonderful (oceanfront) view. Hotel staff was great very nice and helpful. Beds were to close together and surrounding objects,however, the sitting area was great. WE FELT WE WERE AT HOME. EVERYONE WAS VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY. WHEN WE COULN'T FRIENDLY YOUR LOCATION. LEE THE NIGHT STAFF HELP US TO GET THERE VERY SAFELY. WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN THE NEXT TIME WE COME TO MYRTLE BEACH.

Me and my fiance were looking for a romantic getaway and it was perfect. All of the staff were more than accomadating and beyond friendly. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view. It was like a home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again.

"OK, But Not Satisfied"
The hotel was nice and very comfortable, I However didn't like that I had pools on both sides of my windows so I was getting noise from both sides. I was in a corner balcny room so I didn't enjoy the view or the privacy like I wanted to, but all in all I liked the rooms, but anytime I go to myrtle beach, I like to be able to view the ocean from my room […] or the couch and that was not an option for me so I guess that's why, I didn't enjoyed it as I should. "Not bad, great breakfast"
We ended up with a side room which was small and cramped compared to the true ocean front rooms, if you go request an ocean front room. When you pulled the murphy bed down and the pull out couch, you had to move all the other furniture to make it fit. The breakfast was great every morning, full hot breakfast with lots of choice, save a lot of money […] for a family of 6 each day. "Needed a little more room"
We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. I thought it was a little cramped. The beds were too close to the wall and the den area was tiny. When you pulled out the bed you could hardly walk. The parking garage left a little to be desired as well. Thankfully we have a small car. The garage was hard to get around in and the spaces weren't very big. Not good at […] all for larger vehicles. The ammenities were really nice and well kept. The breakfast was awesome, we really enjoyed it. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I would probably go for a regular room with doubles next time. "Better choices are available!"
There are way too many people squeezed onto this property. Checked in on lobby floor(floor 2), rode elevator down to ground floor to get luggage cart, rode elevator up to floor 4 where w car was parked, then rode elevator up to room on floor 13. This process took 22 minutes waiting for the various elevators. 15 minute line waiting for breakfast, snaking […] between the people seated and trying to eat in peace and quiet. Chairs at the pools? Good luck, get there at sun up. A spot at the beach? Bring a small blanket or pay top dollar to rent from the hotel. Parking garage is tiny, cramped and tedious to manage. Uzziniet vairāk

THE HOTEL WAS OKAY! THERE WERE A FEW PROBLEMS WITH THE ELAVATOR AND PARKING WAS A LITTLE CRAZY BUT OVER ALL IT WAS OKAY! THE ROOMS ARE SET UP A LITTLE WEIRD! HOUSE KEEPING WAS VERY NICE AND THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND THE BED WAS PRETTY GOOD!GREAT BEACH THERE WERE TONS OF SEA SHELLS.
