It was a wonderful stay. Our room was large and nice and the location was perfect. I wasn't crazy about the required valet parking of $18 per day but I think most of the hotels in this location had it. The staff was polite and very nice. I would stay here again.

Bed was amazingly comfortable and bathroom was clean. Staff was very nice. Left the car with valet parking for 2 nights as easily could walk to the river and shopping areas on foot. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

All staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The Concierge, Janice was a big help with dinner reservations and was very helpful. Would stay there again!

The hotel location was excellent for visiting the historic district. I parked the car when I arrived and did not move it until I checked out. I was able to walk every where.

This was a great hotel -- right on Bay street, close to both City Market and River Street. We were there the night after the big St. Patrick's day events, and at about 2 in the morning some drunks were playing in the pool (right next to our room). We called security and they took care of it right away. Very happy with this hotel.

Only drawback to hotel is that there isn't any free parking. You must pay for the valet every night of your stay. Otherwise, it was a great hotel, very friendly, fast & delicious room service, & a good bed.

Located in the true heart of Savannah. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were unspectacular but clean. Had a great view of the river from the 5th floor. Staff was very pleasant, especially Terry the valet.

Nice hotel, beautiful room. Comfortable bed. As others have said, side of hotel facing Bay St is noisy, especially on lower levels. Lots of traffic including trucks. We kept fan running all night and had little problem, but light sleepers should try to get on 6th floor or other side of hotel. I bet the other side is very quiet. Nice buffet with good […] food. Before you book and you are expecting breakfast, this is not the hotel. They only serve cookies when you check in. Also, be aware they charge for local phone calls. It really was a great hotel in a great location. Staff and concierage were excellent. The only issue I had was the street my room faced was VERY noisy. Had I known before hand I would have asked for a room on the MLK side.

This was our first time visiting Savannah and if we based our visit on our hotel, we would not return.

The only problem we had at the hotel was we came down for breakfast at 10 am and waited in line to be seated and at 10:20 we were told that they were going to stop the breakfast buffet at 10:30 and that we could go across the street to the ohter hotel and have breakfast there since their buffet was until 11am. My only complaint about our room was that it was listed as having a spa tub (which I was looking forward to) & ended up a typical hotel shower/tub combo. Other than that, the staff was fantastic, the room perfectly clean & quiet, & the location was perfect. Loved every minute of it!

We have stayed at this hotel twice. Very comfortable beds, very clean, and plesant accomodations. We like that the vehicles are parked and secured in an indoor garage. We like the location and enjoy the City Market just up the street for meals, connections to activities, and music in the evenings.

Staff was cordial not overly friendly. Was unhappy with my room (noisy street traffic and broken air conditioner) but was told I could not switch. The location was ok. Average hotel. Probably wouldn't stay there again. Excessive parking costs. Free parking nearby don't pay the hotel.

Overall I was pretty disappointed with this hotel. It came highly rated and was supposed to be a 3.5 star place, a step up the Garden Inn hotel next door, also operated by Hilton. I got this place for a deal so the price was fantastic, but there was just so much downside. First, the positives. The rooms were clean, the location is perfect, and for me, […] the price was was great due to the deal. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were also a nice touch. Unfortunately, that's it. For the negatives...the valet service was clueless and couldn't conceive that we were just dropping off our stuff in our hotel room and did NOT need valet parking. Gave us a hard time. They were inconsistent....letting us in during check in, but during check out demanded our keys while we got our stuff. The front desk staff were rude when we checked in for some inexplicable reason...I was very friendly towards them and the check in process itself went without issue, so I'm not sure why the attitude. The building itself and the rooms are quite old. There are stains in the wall all over the place and the front lobby has an odd smell to it. Our bathroom had a lot of water damage around the tub. Overall really, just a step down from the Garden Inn, which was the opposite of what I expected. I will not stay here again, regardless of price. This is a 3.5 star hotel in name only. Your Review DoubleTree by Hilton Historic Savannah i could have sworn that breakfast and parking were included so when we go to ge voucher the girl behind the desks gave me the blank stare* the cost for each plate for breakfast and the quiche was dried out we had to find our our silverware and napkins we were not offered water or glass for juice so […] we found it our self* the waitress did not ask how our meal was this was all told to the girl behind the desk **still the blank stare** so i pay the meal ticket and went to the room to get ready to chk out all of 5min since i went down stairs to check out (same girl behind the desk) say so how was your stay i said don't ask, we just had this discussion** she could have offered a comp on at least one of the meal are offered an sincere apology nope sabe blank stare****** the guys at valet were Awesome*** i would reccommend them *** for the cost of the room a night the parking and for the meal not worth it where has the Customer Service gone**this would not have been an issue but when you are an executive chef and have been in the business for over 30 yrs you expect certian standards Uzziniet vairāk

Great staff. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and professional. Very good location, walked to restaurants and attractions. Our room was on third floor next to Bay St. and there was some traffic noise. Even so, great value, would stay there again.

I have enjoyed this hotel in the past. This time, the maid service was lacking ( they missed cleaning our room twice), and I found the beds uncomfortable. Otherwise staff is friendly, breakfast good.
