I love this hotel. I have stayed here twice now, once during the summer and again just barely during the fall. This time however I was a little disappointed. The first room I was given felt like a bomb shelter, it had cement walls, smelled funky and musty and was extremely loud. The hotel allowed us to change rooms after the first night to a much better […] room with wood floors and no smell. The breakfast is great and it is so fun to be up and out of Florence. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week touring vacation of Italy. We had previously stayed at 4-star accommodation throughout Italy so have a good reference for comparative hotels. This hotel deserves at best a 3-star rating. When we checked-in the room we were given had a strong "musty" smell. I asked the desk manager if we could […] have another room - his response was they'd had a rain storm that day so the toilets may make the rooms "a bit stinky". I had to press for an alternative and he reluctantly gave me the key to the room next door - it wasn't "stinky". No apology, just a shrug of the shoulders - not 4-star! The "deluxe" room was basic and small. We decided against the multi-course meal and opted for a glass of wine and a sandwich. Despite our asking a number of times, we waited a full 20 minutes before our order was reluctantly taken - not 4-star. Finally, we had to check-out at 5.30am to catch a flight. We had told the desk in advance, yet when we tried to check-out we had to awake the duty clerk who was asleep in the lounge to open up the doors and make up our bill. The clerk was bleary-eyed and disheveled and didn't even offer to help with our bags - down two flights of steps to the parking lot - not 4-star. In short: * we had 3 rooms booked. * deluxe rooms too small * Bathroom tiny * A complete shortage of staff to help during a stay. Especially since they are calling it a 4 star hotel. * 1 porter in the hotel. Perched on the hillside to the northwest of Florence this small but charming hotel offers a quiet location within a short bus ride to downtown Florence. Rooms are good, breakfast substantial, service excellent. The pool is more of a plunge pool, so if swimming is important this is probably not the place for you. We would go back in a heart beat

We stayed here on the first night of our Italian holiday - having visited Florence previously, we just wanted somewhere peaceful and relaxing after our journey, where we could enjoy a lovely dinner overlooking this beautiful city. Villa Fiesole certainly fitted the bill. We were met by extremely helpful staff, who carried our luggage for us (reception […] is up a steep flight of steps) and then checked us in with very little fuss. Our room was small, but perfectly formed, ditto the bathroom. Our room had a lovely view over the city of Florence. It was the feast of San Giovanni (St John) on the day in question, so the hotel was offering a special feast night fish dinner - absolutely delicious and very good value, as it included extremely good wines. A perfect start to the holiday. As we were not leaving until the following afternoon, we had a leisurely breakfast and, although we had to check out of our room by midday, we were given all the things we needed to spend a relaxing morning by the pool and were welcome to use all of the hotel services for as long as we wished. All in all, a lovely start to what turned out to be a lovely holiday. Villa Fiesole is slightly on the pricey side, but then that seems to be par for the course for Florence generally. Vi hadde et fint opphold. Rommet var var bra med behagelig seng og pluss for dyne. Utsikten til Firenze er nydelig. Hotellet tilbyr leie av elbil som var praktisk for sightseeing i Firenze. Bassenget er lite og solsenger og parasoller slitent. Nydelig frokost med alt man kan ønske seg, men vær tidlig ute. Det var lite igjen da vi kom klokken ti. Qualité du mobilier des chambres de bon gout , classique et neuve . Salle de bain tres propre , bien agencée . Hotel calme avec parking voiture pratique . Possibilité relax à la petite piscine . Un receptionniste peu coopératif et ignorant du systéme Bus Site seing .( corrigé par la jeune fille ) Qualité du restaurant médiocre et cher pour ce qui est offert mais geste commercial effectué .Situation surprenante par opposition à la qualité du PD . Souhaitons que la restauration soit redynamisée pour étre en cohérence avec le niveau de l'hotel . Værelset hørte til den gamle fløj, hvor køleanlæggene ikke var i stand til i den forholdsvis varme periode at sænke nattempeaturen til et udholdeligt niveau. Efter første nat og protester blev vi overflyttet til et fint værelse med fungerende køleanlæg.
