Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo — Catania

The hotel was located about 10 - 15 minutes (walking) to the center of town. The neighborhood towards the center is safe but the other section is sketchy. Parking was not free and may be best to reserve it ahead of time. The night staff was not rude but they were also not accomodating. Internet connection was not great. we stayed here twice during our visit. The fact that we chose it again as our fallback hotel whilst stranded by the volcano eruption , shows it made its mark on us. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the free internet access is good. it is near the centre and whilst maybe not the nicest walk back at night, it wasn't scarey or anything.

Everything was great, except you have to walk about 10-15 mins to the main drag (Via Etna). The staff was extremely helpful, and answered all questions I had (very beautiful, too). The hotel also offers free internet access and the breakfast was the best we had during our entire 13 day trip. If I were a traveler, the only thing I would be wary of is […] driving here with a car. People in Catania drive like maniacs, and I cannot tell you how absurd it all is. Thus, if you are driving there and are using a GPS, make sure to have it bring you in the back way. Uzziniet vairāk

Nous revenons de l'hôtel Méditerranéo à Catane, cet hôtel est vraiment formidable avec un personnel à vos petits soins toujours prêt à vous renseigner et rendre service et d'une gentillesse qui se fait rare actuellement. Hôtel très bien situé. Chambres spacieuses et très propres. Personnel accueillant. Petit déjeuner copieux. A recommander. Seul petit désagrément, avec fenêtres ouvertes, c'est le bruit extérieur des climatisations.

Et helt greit hotell som ligger 15 minutters gange fra sentrum. Sengen var litt for hard, og badet var det mest blåe undertegnede noen gang har sett. Likefullt var det rent og pent, og betjeningen var hyggelig og hjelpsom. Grei parkering i parkeringshus rett over gaten.

Ησυχο, βολικό, με προσωπικό ευγενικό και προθυμο να μας εξυπηρετήσει γρήγορα μάλιστα σε μέρες γιορτών.Επιστρέψαμε σε αυτό για να ολοκληρώσουμε τις διακοπές μας και προτιμήσαμε να νοικιάσουμε αυτοκίνητο για να γυρνάμε το βράδυ στο γνωστό δωμάτιο χωρίς να ρισκάρουμε, γιατί είναι, ιδανικό για εξορμήσεις στην ανατολικη και κεντρικη Σικελια. When we ariived, we asked the staff if the Hotel had a secure parking lot for our rental car. The woman in the receptiomn looked out the window and saw our car on the pavement opposite the hotel. She said that the car could stay there, but then we had to move the car before 8.30 next morning. The best was if there were any free spot inside white markings […] along the hotel building. I asked again wether the hotel had specific parking lot beloning to the hotel, but she just repeted what she had said. So we parked the car, I then discovered that there were some garage doors with Best Western logo. I thougt they might not be in use for some reason, or maybe full. After all i had asked if the hotel hat its own parking place. Next morning we found out that the car had been stolen during the night. The hotel did have videocameras on, but i now ask myself why we were not offered a parking place in the garage? I find it kind of suspicious. We got very good help from a person in the hotel conserning telephones to the police and rental company and that we are grateful for, but i can not in any way recomend this hotel. Uzziniet vairāk
