Holiday Inn Express London - Stratford — London

This hotel is on a main road and my window was not effective at blocking road noise. The road is busy. The window also let in a draught which meant I had to keep the noisy heating on all night to stay warm. Needless to say I did not sleep well. On arrival I was allocated a smoking room despite requesting non smoking and was told this was all that was […] available. When I insisted on Non smoking they managed to find one by swapping my room with someone elses?? Reached our goal for the stay.

We stayed here for a visit to London to see all the sites. Hotel is fine staff all friendly Not much parking £20 per 24hrs Very close to Westfield shopping centre Breakfast was fine cold & hot food (free) Overall very good :-) Would stay here again.

I found this hotel good value for money, clean & comfortable. The staff where very helpful. My only negative comment is that the cooked breakfast was very poor.

Very happy with the easy, walkable access to the train station and nice mall. However, it is in the ghetto and we felt unsafe walking around after dark. The breakfast is okay except for the horrible scrambled eggs.

The holiday accomodation was fine and in a good location. However the beakfast which was included in the price, was the worst my wife and I have ever had. The bread was stale, the toaster didn't work. The orange juice was from a machine and honestly looked the right colour but didn't taste of anything. my stay was very satisfactory and if need be i will stay in the same hotel next time obviously if there is accommodation. My only complaint is that in our room the telephone was not working and even though I asked at the reception to arrange this fault nothing happened.After spending a whole day outside the next day the phone was still not in service […] by the end of the day.When I went down to reception yet again the receptionist offered us to change the room which we did not particularly wanted to do so as we were tired after a full day running around.Apart from this minor let down me and my family have nothing to complain about in fact we think that this hotel should be credited with more stars.thankyou Uzziniet vairāk

It was very good hotel. I was there for a weekend with my husband and my daughter. the hotel was clean,the staff very friendly, good breakfast ,good location near the train station, the only thing that i didn't like was the child bed that was not very comfortable, expect that everything else was perfect including the price.If I will return in London […] sure I will stay in the same hotel. This hotel No good Room is Small and Cold

This reasonably priced hotel was comfortable and practical. It was within an easy 10 minute walk from Stratford mainline/tube station, and within a couple of minutes of the 2012 olympic arena. 15 minutes by tube to West end of London, and close to Westfield shopping centre. I had a smoking room, and was pleasantly surprised that the room smelt fresh with no lingering odours, when I arrived. Breakfast was the standard 'help yourself' seen in most mid range hotels, with a good choice of fruit/cereals/pastries. This hotel was clean, the room adequate for my purposes & the staff were extremely helpfull. My only complaint would be that the breakfast was very average with little choice. Overal for the price I paid for my stay it was very good value for money.

We stayed just one night at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast in the morning. Very good value all round.

Great staff, the 25 bus which takes you to Oxford street and by the Marble Arch was right outside. Highly recommended for family vacation. No microwave, no free wifi and no room service. But the restaurant downstairs had good food and you can pay for wifi if you want it.

The hotel is nicelly situated closelly to Stratford railwaystation and access to the major comunication options for getting around London. The new Westfield shopping mall is also very close. Otherwise the hotel is nothing special - a aplace to sleep which you eventually have to do even if your in London.

The hotel staff could have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fairly nice but many products were running out and were missing. Otherwise the room was clean and spacious. The location near the Stratford station is great.

Holiday Inn's are great for those odd nights away, often when you cant find anywhere else, unfortunately. This one had its usual good and bad points Bad - a tiny car park that the hotel charges £20 a night for - if there is a space of course. The beds in HI's are without fail some of the worst ive ever slept in. They are always old, rediculously […] soft and more than pit like. I always ask on the feedback sheet whether anyone from the senior management has slept in them - for a quality check......? Breakfast is very poor quality when you consider what you would get for the same price at a premier inn. bit embarrassing really HI! Good New Hotel (which is why the mattresses are so disappointing - as it is obviously a poor choice), so all other aspects of the hotel were clean, tidy and welcoming. Staff - superb! I am used to staying in 5 star hotel but due to proxity and the time I needed the room, I had to settle with Holiday inn. In truth, I was very sceptical thinking the worst but eventually, when I went up to the room, my first impression was, hmnn mn. The room was very clean, no wardrode though. The only apalling thing I found about this hotel is the fact that they charge almost half the stay rate per night in addition for parking. That was simply thieving. Nevertheless, there are free parking of the street near the hotel from 6pm to 8am and other times, you pay 3 box for max of 2 hours. No swimming pool etc - well i wasn't expecting that anyway. but in all, my stay wasn't too bad. i will recommend this hotel and most especially Hotel.com cos they got me this room at the very last minute. Lovely small hotel, free car parking nearby, great location for all north london destinations. Would definately use this hotel over and over again, good value for money!!

Satuyed with my husband and 2 children, aged 10 & 13 Really enjoyed out 2 nights here. Other than the bed being a bit too soft for our liking and a bit of a mad rush for breakfast.. This hotel is perfectly located for access to Stanstead Airport by bus, and central London by Tube. Reasonably priced and suitable fro families.

Nothing to complain. Easy to get everywhere using underground. Some quite nice (and inexpensive) pubs in the area. Traveling to Stansted airport is very easy and cheap due to 24h running bus. Probably I'll end up to this same hotel next time I visit London.

The Holiday Inn Express Stradford is close to the International Stradford station +- 10min walk and you can get to London central in less than 20min with the underground. There is also a shopping centre with various shops and take away franchises just opposite the station.

Great stay! Beds too soft. Basic breakfast. Very good choice when visiting London. Close to station with busses to get you there quickly.

This was a return visit. I stayed here before in October 2010. I stayed a second time despite my misgivings because of its location. First the good news. The hotel has undergone a major renovation. The rooms have been redecorated and the lobby is fresh. Breakfast is good enough, particularly if you are there for one or two days. Toast and juice and […] mushy sausage get a little old after that. Now the bad news. The service is awful. Imagine living in a place where the help is related to a call center help-line. I came back to my room about seven one evening and there were no drinking glasses (plastic cups). When I called the main desk there was an awkward pause and they asked if I could come down to pick some up. I also had to go down to the front desk to pick up towels because there was no one on duty to bring me them when they were missing also. The internet is expensive and crashes often. No explanation, just "I am sorry." A couple of pubs in Stratford offer free wireless. This was a clean, basic room. The hotel staff was extremely nice. We were close to the underground. Airport convenience is a problem given the lack of freeways in London. It took over an hour to arrive by underground from the airport. Thank goodness for wheels on luggage. We took a hired van for 80+ pounds to return to the airport - also an hour. This Hotel does what it says on the Tin, Its a good quality room, in London, with good transport links. Stratford Station is about 10 minutes walk up the dual carriageway/motorway where Liverpool street station is 3 stops on the central line. I had a room at the front of the hotel on the first floor and found that the windows provided little resistance to the noise from the start finish straight traffic lights outside the hotel. That said, the room was very clean and well looked after with no noise from adjacent rooms. The food was also reasonably good for this type of hotel and exceeded my expectations. Booked as a hotel for getting in/out London - 15 mins on Central line to Tottenham Court Road..........it is about 10-15 min walk from tube - but that's OK for us..............I think rooms have been recently upgraded as ours had mood lighting, usual Holiday Inn things like different comfort pillows etc..........friendly helpful staff.......decent lounge […] area with a couple of flat screen TVs...........breakfast was a bit manic......mainly just cos it was so busy.........overall very happy for what I got and what I paid. clean hotel with average breakfast in a good quiet location at a very reasonable price

After reading reviews on this hotel I was feeling apprehensive about staying here, but kept an open mind as you have to judge for yourself. i will be contacting holiday inn... the hotel was appaling, iv never had such a bad stay in a holiday inn express.... building works, a bed that had no springs in it, so was collapsed in the middle, had a sleepless night holding on to the edge of the matress to stop myself from rolling in to the middle... and breakfast was an absoulute joke.... 20 deep […] quing down the corridor (past my bedroom door) not enough plates cups and glasses, food ran out as plates arrived there was no coffee.. the machjines empty, no staff as they were down stairs washing dishes or collecting hot food we didnt bother after the first 25 mins of trying... appaling!!! as expected, good service overall, clean rooms. friendly staff. but there was no hotel carpark available as they were working on it. during the time i left on the street and went catch my luggage, my car was towed away so I had to call a taxi to bring me to the car pound and I had to pay 250 pounds!!! you can imagine my feelings!! the taxi was booked […] through the reception of the hotel and charged me 18 pounds to the car pound which is about 10 km away. A lovely hotel with very friendly staff, nice rooms and conveniently situated close to the underground. Breakfast was very welcome, great stay.

Good Hotel if you are just staying overnight to attend an event at the O2 arena. Only 3 tube stops away.

Express ligger i London Stratford i östra London och verkar vara ett nytt hotell med bra buss- och tunnelbaneförbindelser in till centrum. Allt var mycket bra och fräscht på hotellet och inte minst den engelska frukosten med äggröra, engelsk korv, baked beans, muffins, corn flakes, youghurt, bröd, smör, marmelad, frukt m m var mycket bra. På hotellrummet […] finns elektrisk vattenkokare samt tepåsar och nescafe'. Om man är fyra personer får två ligga i en smal bäddsoffa men det är ok. Vi bad om att få varsitt täcke istället för stort och det gick bra. Mycket serviceminded och trevlig personal. Hotellet ligger i korsningen High street - Carpenters road och buss 25 stannar utanför hotellet. Det tar ca 35 minuter att åka in till Oxford street. Därifrån är det gångavstånd till t ex British Museum och Covent Garden. Åt andra hållet kan man om man är lat ta 25:an, åka en hållplats till tåg- och tunnelbanestationen Stratford . Där kan man köpa en oystercardbiljett för buss och tunnelbana. Från Stratfords tunnelbanestation går många tunnelbanelinjer samt DLR = de förarlösa tågen som går på järnvägsspår uppe på marken som vanliga tåg. Från High street vid hotellet går också DLR järnvägen fast hållplatsen är svår att se eftersom den ligger bakom en gammal byggnad. Men tunnelbaneskylten sitter ut mot gatan High street snett vänster over gatan utanför hotellet. Från Stansteds flygplats åkte vi Terravistas buss som går till och från London Stratfords tunnelbanestation. Uzziniet vairāk

modernes Hotel mit einwandfreiem Mobiliar. Sauber, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, aber leider kein dunkles Brot. Gebucht war ein Kingsize-Bett, geboten war ein sehr schmales Doppelbett - es gäbe eben nichts Anderes, hieß es bei unserer Reklamation. Ein Ärgernis!! Lage nicht perfekt zentral, aber gut erreichbar. Ein ziemliches "Sparhotel": Keine Minibar, […] Stecker für Festland-Elektrogeräte war nicht verfügbar und musste gekauft werden. Für ein neueres Hotel schlecht geräuschisolierte und auch nicht perfekt dichte Fenster. Wireless-Internet musste bezahlt werden (für jeweils 1/2, 3 Stunden oder 24 Stunden, nur 1 Login möglich!) und funktionierte doch nur ab und zu. Personal verhielt sich hier wenig entgegenkommend. Auch andere Gäste haben sich diesbezüglich beschwert. Immerhin funktionierender Computer bei der Rezeption. Kostet jedoch ebenfalls. Uzziniet vairāk

Vi har haft nogle gode dage og især fordi hotellet ligger tæt på det Olympiske stadion og europas største indkøbscenter så der er meget at se. Og der er 8 min gang til stationen og derefter kun 4 stop med tuben ind til Oxford street. Det eneste minus ved hotellet er morgenmaden. Sparsomt udvalg og kvaliteten er ikke særlig høj....

1h till Oxford Street med buss, stannar utanför dörren till hotellet. Betydligt snabbare med the tube eller national railway till Stratford station 5-10 min bort. Där ligger också shopping centret Westfield som är enormt och helt nytt. Här finns allt från Prada och Mulberry till GAP, Hollister, Forever 21 och massor av skoaffärer. OS arenorna ligger […] bara några hundra meter bort men är inhängnade på en byggarbetsplats. Kvarteren känns något ruffiga även om vi inte råkade ut för något.
