The location, although remote, served our purposes well. However, the property has so much potential, if some details were tended to. Despite our room being a designated NO SMOKING room, upon opening the door, the first thing I perceived was a strong smoke odor – which for an asthmatic is NOT a good thing! Although the bathroom seemed to have undergone […] a recent renovation, it showed some signs of deterioration and inadequate cleaning. The room itself was large and well laid-out, but could have benefited from prettier bed spreads. Also, the chaise / sofa had a disturbing stain which made me not want to put anything on it, let alone sit down on it! The front desk personnel, however, were very attentive and quick to respond to our request for a new smoke alarm battery which was beeping when we arrived. The complimentary continental breakfast was nicer than I had expected. It just makes me wish that the place were slightly more welcoming, as I get the impression that they're really 'trying'! Very nice and clean room, newly updated bathroom and new huge flat screen tv. An italian restaurant right next door, very satisfied ;)

I booked early and couldn't get a non-smoking room. This Motel was recommended by a Dog show Club. I was there 3 nights as I had business just out of Newton and there wasn't anything else available. I didn't know the area and coming from the West Coast was a bit lost. The room had NO closet to hang clothes, it had grease or oil on the rug, hadn't been […] vacumed of cleaned. The location was convenient for our visit to the Franklin Mineral Show, and it was one of the cheaper hotels in the area. The evening and morning reception desk staff were cheery and friendly. The bed linens were clean. Unfortunately, the room was tiny and had a fundamental grungyness. It was advertised as having a "standard queen" bed but actually […] had a double - I don't think a queen would have left enough space to unpack luggage. The walls were marred and had unpainted plaster patches. The funiture was old and chipped. The carpet conveyed a sense of deeply ingrained dirt. My first reaction when I saw the room was "I think we should have spent a little more" and my wife responded "It's just for one night." Breakfast was minimal - coffee, pastries and cereal, but I had expected that. I gather some rooms have been renovated - pehaps the positive reviews are from people who got one of those. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE JUST A BIT FAR FROM OUT LOCATION, BUT OTHER WISE GREAT!! COMFORTABLE BED, CLEAN SHEETS, AND GREAT SERVICE.

The room barely held our 4 suitcases. The sink was in the bedroom(not bathroom). The room wasn't clean. The wi-fi didn't work. The parking in the back was terrible. The price was very high. I will NEVER stay in another Econo-Lodge and I'm not usually fussy at all about motels. Drive to some other place.

The hotel was easy to find. The staff was pleasant. A non-smoking room was not available even though I did request one. Cleanliness was good. A/C was cold. TV was not a clear picture at all. Beds were ok. Nice to a fridge and microwave in the room. Bathroom was a little too small for my liking but understood because of the price. Staff were very friendly and accommidating. The room could definitely use an update as it's worn and old looking but for what it is its a descent place to stay for the money. If your looking for a 5 star resort feel..This is certainly not the place for you but if your like most money concious people like myself who just want a place to rest your head […] at night that isn't something out of a horror seen then i would definitely recommend this hotel. In addition to the dreary condition of the room (peeling wallpaper, bathroom not exactly clean, etc.) there was no hot water our first night. This was not really repaired until 9:30 the next morning. Good value. Were looking for cheap/clean place to stay. Did not disappoint. Nothing fancy. Breakfast surprisingly decent. Coffee excellent.

There were holes that were patched over that should have been repainted all over the bathroom. The shower head was covered with white hard water stains which blocked many of the holes.When i called to verify the hotels location compared to where i was spending the day I was told it was "right down the road", when actually it was 30 minutes away. The convenience of location had us stay here previously, but issues with hot water and use of bathroom during renovations on this stay will cause us to stay elsewhere.

Due to the loss of power and inability to run water and flush the toilet we cannot really give the proper evaluation... no power also meant "no breakfast"... and no use of microwave or refrigerator.

Non smoking room smelled like an ashtray, I had to go to the local store to get air freshener, the room was disgusting. The drain for the bath tub didn't work.

This is an older hotel, but the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. There was hot water each morning to take a shower. I would definately stay again.

Das Hotel ist einfach und zweckmäßig! Es bietet aber alles was man zum Übernachten braucht! Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einrichtung ist halt alt und unmodern aber sauber! Frühstück war ausreichend mit Kaffee, Toast, Waffeln und Teilchen!
