Novotel Muenchen City — Munich

We had a marvellous stay in Novotel Munich. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we can really recommend it to families. The kids enjoyed the playroom and the free internet was really helpful.

Very good family hotel with excellent copious breakfast. Good central location with added benefit of the swimming pool, a bit cold, but there isd an Art Deco City bath (1920's) around the corner.

Fabulous hotel, great location and Munich is one of the best places ive visited.

ok to stay but remember rooms are very small and ventilation works pretty bad so very warm inside

Excellent Hotel conveniently located. A brisk 10 minute walk to the nearest subway station complex. On-site parking available for a fee. My only gripe is the swimming pool was closed for renovation. However, the front desk did offer free tickets to a local scwimbad about a 15 minute walk away.

We enjoyed our stay and the hotel is in a good location. About 15 minute walk to the city centre and the deutsches is about 5 minutes away. Very convenient to get here by train from the airport with the station 3 minutes away. We were traveling with two young children and the room was great.

An clean, modern hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking distance from the city centre. Our room was clean, comfortable and very warm, in fact warm enough even with the windows open and no heating on even in the middle of December! Novotel in Munich is in a good spot to see the city. We were a family of four and stay was comfortable.

Great Hotel, family friendly, has great playroom for children, great breakfast, nice and friendly people working, convenient location, within short walking distance to the heart of the city. Would definitely go there again and I highly recommend it.

Typical Novotel - comfortable, well designed space, reasonable to share a room with our two kids (3 and 5) although we had to be organized about it. The pool and sauna were nice - not amazing - but entertained the kids for a morning. The wet sauna had a damp smell to it, but the dry sauna was a nice escape from cold, damp weather. Location easy to […] find, and walkable from the Hauptbahnhof. The less adventurous might want a taxi. Great location for the Deutsches Museum, which was our goal! DONT eat in the hotel restaurant. It's overpriced and the food was presented beautifully, but flavorless. My partner was very taken by the words on the menu (coffee-oil infused salmon) but what we got was re-heated, absolutely flavorless food presented to look like an expensive meal. Ditto with the kids' food. A walk around the corner yielded some lovely cafes with delicious, inexpensive food, and the local bakeries and grocery fully sufficed for breakfast. The room was clean and the service was good, but the carpet a bit grimy. We couldn't sit on the floor to eat, and I wouldn't have wanted a baby there. Shower and bath were great. Overall, a pleasant stay for a decent price. Added bonus: was the free internet terminals and printer in the lobby (if you could get in between the teenagers checking facebook) and the nearby kids' playroom with video games. Easy to let the kids play while checking email, making train reservations, and enjoying a beer from the lobby bar (or, better, from the gas station mart next door). Uzziniet vairāk

Location excellent, 10-15 min walk to Marienplatz, 4 min to closest subway. Spacious and internal parking. I literally could see my car from the elevator. The staff was competent and patient; they even worked with another customer that changed their plans last minute and wanted a late checkout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. Good facilities and rooms, friendly and helpful staff and reasonably priced. Two slight drawbacks - the hotel is approx 1 km from the centre of Munich - although it is a pleasant enough walk (and the hotel is handy for the S Bahn). Good quality and service as expected although the room was absolutely boiling whatever we did with the air conditioning.

We booked this hotel as part of our trip to the Christmas Markets in Munich. Whilst not exactly central, it is situated only a 10 minute walk from edge of the City Centre in an extremely quiet neighbourhood, which very much belies it's close proximity to the City! We booked an executive room which was clean, spacious, extremely comfortable, and very […] warm (we actually slept with the heating off and the window open in the middle of December and it was still plenty warm enough!). The bathroom housed a full size bath, huge vanity sink unit, and shower cubicle, with the toilet being in a separate room by the entrance to the room. The hotel bar, albeit slightly on the expensive side, was a great place to have a drink prior to evenings outs, and likewise for a nightcap upon our return. Behind the bar was the restaurant area which offered an extensive breakfast selection of fresh fare to suit most palettes. They also serve lunch and dinner but we did not avail ourselves of those options. If there were any faults, they were extremely minor - on the Sunday morning, breakfast was a little chaotic (but then it was the last weekend before Xmas and I think the majority of the hotel guests decided to breakfast at 09:30 ....patience required!); the bath towels were a tad worn and a little small, and finally, our tea/coffee in the room wasn't replenished unless we asked and then only after we asked twice. We tend to judge a hotel on whether we would willingly return again - in this instance, we will definitely return, it's quiet, warm, clean, modern and comfortable .... a great stay and everything you could ask for! The hotel is very conveniently situated for many of the well known sights, so it's possible to walk to most of them. Breakfast had an excellent selection of breads, cheeses, meats, fruit and pastries, as well as cooked dishes, including made to order omelets. Stayed for 3 nights at end of october. Lovely hotel, clean and very close to underground station - 5 mins to Marienplatz (city centre). Everything in touristic is within walking distance and a great way to look around the city. The hotel was excellent value for money, clean, efficient and very friendly. I have two VERY minor gripes. The matress was a tiny bit too hard fior my liking, and whilst the breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, it suffered the usual buffet problems of luke warm undercoked bacon, and luke warm congealed fried eggs. good hotel in a beautiful city

We spent three days here last week and we found it very pleasant. My husband and I were traveling with our teenage daughter, and I think the room was a bit small for the three of us, but not too bad. Very high service quality and very good location made our stay at this hotel pleasant and positive. Excellent hotel and very close to multiple locations

Front Desk personnel is not well trained.

Great location close to the S-bahn, great German breakfast daily, and nice modernized rooms. The "Wellness" Club had an excellent sauna, a nice steam room, and a small but tranquil pool. Highly recommended.

we stayed as a group at the novotel munich city,it was about a 20 minute walk to the old town or 2 stops on the underground,from rosenheimer platz station . there were plenty of bars ,food stalls ,shops in the area. We arrived.by the S8 train from the airport to rosenheimer platz station,take the exit towards the holiday inn,begins with m not sure of […] name,this takes you to within 300 yards of hotel[there are about 4exits] we caught the train on the sunday to hersching(the end of theS8 line)a beautiful place ,then walked to andechs monastry (signposted very well) around an hours walk through the black forest ,great.the monastry has several beers brewed there,great food and views of the alps,a fantastic day. Rooms were a bit small for a family of 4. Convenient to the airport, but more difficult to get to the heart of Munich. You have to take a bus to both the airport and the rail. We thought it might be a bit more conveniently located. The staff was kind and the hotel chain is kid friendly.

This is our second stay at the Novotel Muenchen City, which is conveniently located 30 minutes from the airport by car and 15 minutes from Marienplatz on foot. The only thing that was odd this time around is that the A/C wasn’t blowing very cold, but I noticed this throughout Germany (restaurants, airports, etc.) and suspect that there might be a country-wide […] effort to reduce energy consumption. Probably a good idea, but 1 more degree of coolness would’ve really been appreciated. If you need secure parking and a safe place to stay with convenient access to Marienplatz and its many treasures like the Hofbräuhaus, you can’t go wrong with this hotel. Uzziniet vairāk

I have stayed a couple of times at the Novotel München City, since my company has an office in the nighborhood. I will definitely coming back. Tasteful interior. Well maintained and modern hotel. Good wellness department, even though they could have a few more machines in the gym.

Das Familienzimmer war sehr gut, groß genug für 4 Personen. Das Hallenbad ist zwar klein, aber für die Kinder eine tolle Abwechslung nach einem Kultur Tag. Eltern können in der Sauna und im Dampfbad entspannen. Sehr zentrale Lage, man kann alles zu Fuß machen. Spitzenmäßiges Frühstücksbuffet!! Ist auf jeden Fall den Preis wert.

Hotel muito bom, bem localizado, não muito longe do centro histórico (a 02 km da Marienplatz).. O prédio do hotel é antigo, mas por dentro é todo moderno. O quarto em que ficamos (triplo) era bom, porém não muito espaçoso. Camas confortáveis e banheiro moderno, entretanto o box era apertado. Recepção ampla e bonita, com internet disponível no lobby. […] Internet no quarto e estacionamento cobrados à parte. O café da manhã é maravilhoso, o 2o. melhor que pegamos em duas semanas de viagem pela Europa (só perde, por pouco, para o Hilton de Innsbruck). Variadas opções de alimentos quentes e frios. Há um restaurante no biergarten do próprio hotel, que estava invariavelmante com bastante gente. 駅降りてからも道案内があり、歩く距離も短いので便利です。朝食も、満足のゆくものでした。

Schönes Hotel, sauber und gepflegt. Der SPA-Bereich ok , aber nur für einen gezielten Saunagang und dann schnell wieder ins Zimmer. Das Ambiente lud leider nicht zum Verweilen ein.

Mit der S-Bahn in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen. Tolles und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Idealer Ausgangsort für Stadterkundigungen.

Wir durften einen tollen Aufenhalt in diesem Hotel geniessen. Alles war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir waren nicht zum letzten mal dort.

Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Kindern dort und wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Überhaupt waren sehr viele Familien dort, was für die Kinderfreundlichkeit des Hotels spricht. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück lies keine Wünsche offen. Tipp: Lasst euch vom Koch, der auch immer für einen Scherz zu haben ist, ein Omlett […] mit Wunschbelag rausbraten. Parken problemlos, 24h 17€ in Tiefgarage direkt im Haus. S-Bahnanschluß in 5 Minuten Fußweg. Gute Versorgungsmöglichkeiten in der Einkaufspassage unter dem benachbarten Holiday Inn bis hin zu S-Bahn. Einzige Nachteile: Die langen Gänge im Hotel sind ohne Fenster und wirken drückend, die Zimmer werden durch Ausziehen des Schlafsofas sehr eng. Uzziniet vairāk

Det er elendig at det ikke er gratis å bruke trådløst internett! Det er ikke hygienisk når det ikke fins vask i wc i rommet. Man må gå til bad for å vaske hender. Ellers er hotellet veldig bra med svømmebasseng, badstue, tropisk dusj, treningsrom, lekerom med XBOX. Mine barn trives veldig godt. Frokostutvalg er flott i fine lokaler. Καλό ξενοδοχείο, σε βολικό σημείο για τις μετακινήσεις μέσα στην πόλη, καλές υπηρεσίες, αλλά πολύ μικρά τα δωμάτια για οικογένειες με παιδιά.
