It's was good, everything was nice and clean... Just one thing, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. But besides that, it was pretty good
"Visit GrandKids"
Found a great stay, this will be the hotel to use when we visit. It is 10 minutes from their home. Very clean, comfortable and breakfast in the am. Most enjoyable! Price is right as well.

"convenient and clean hotel"
The La Quinta Motel was a perfect stop on our way home to NJ. The desk staff was helpful and polite and met all of our needs. A good place and worth the money!

"Good stay, many times"
This is not a fancy hotel, and it happens to be in an awful area (sparse food options although they recently just opened a new restaurant next door) but I've stayed here many times over the years and it's always been a decent stay. The price is always one of the best in the area and rooms are usually always clean, beds are comfortable. Pros: usually […] great price, clean modern rooms, decent standard breakfast fare. Cons: area doesn't offer any food options. Staff can vary from very helpful to rude, because of the price sometimes it can be very booked and loud. "Good nights rest in New Britain, CT"
After my one night stay in this hotel, I would stay here again no problem. I am a travel a lot I can tolerate a few things off in a hotel room as long as there is no mold smell and the bathroom is clean. This hotel was as advertised on the site. Check in went smooth, my room was clean. The room had a sweet flat screen TV. The fitness room had a treadmill […] and a recumbent bike. The breakfast in the morning was decent, cold cereal, do it your self waffles and boiled eggs, were are few of the items. I really liked that I was able to use the microwave in the kitchen at night to heat up some left over Chinese food. Next time I need a hotel in June 2012, I will be booking my stay here. This was our First time at a Laquinta and I was very disappointed. The linens were the only clean thing about the room (thank God). Carpeting, bathroom floors were dirty, lampshades were stained and nasty. Room temp was difficult to maintain - thermostat seemed broken. Sunday AM Front desk staff was dressed sloppily , in jeans and T shirt - very unprofessional. […] Unruly young adult took over the lobby at night, loud and obnoxious, practically undressing each other and very inapproriate PDA, and no staff or security in sight to disperse them. Impossible to use computer in lobby as well, since they were also hogging that. Breakfast was passable. No decent eateries nearby, other than Chinese/Sushi restaurant next door. I was only there for one night and that was a shame. The lobby is bright, the carpeting was new, the room was huge, the desk personnel were friendly,and everything that I came across was clean. There is plenty of parking both in front and around back. The only thing that I can say is that the elevator was a bit noisy and the Shell station down the block […] was a bit expensive compared to other places in Berlin and Hartford. Great place. The first desk clerk wasn't pleasant at all. I checked in then the clerk tells me I have to walk up to the room to make sure it clean because it states it dirty in the computer. I said maam can I just get a room that's clean already. She said No... This room is book for you. Like really lady????? It was just so inconvenient to do all this.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Huge rooms. Very clean, great service, flat screen tv's, comp breakfast. The front desk was even able to hook us up with connecting rooms last minute! Wish I had an excuse to go back!

"La Quinta - Hartford"
The hotel was nicer than most La Quinta's. The room was huge!!! The bathroom had granite countertops and tile floors and tub surround. The shower was nice with a massaging shower head. The only thing that did not meet our expectations was the breakfast, we were expecting both hot and cold food but aside from make your own waffles everything else was […] cold. Upon checking in there were soiled undergar ments left in the bathroom hair in the tub
"The LaQuinta Hotel in Conn-poor condition"
During our one night stay, the first room key that we were given, would not operate the lock. The desk clerk then changed our room and the key card worked, but the tv remote did not. The tissues were not refilled when the room was cleaned before our stay and the bathroom cleanliness was a bit to bear. I would not reccomend this hotel to aanyone.

"Decent hotel in a not so great neighborhood"
Looking at the hotel from a room standpoint, it was nice. Not 4-5 star but clean and comfortable with nice amenities for the price. There is a free continental breakfast in the morning which is great because I didn't see much in the immediate area that would have served breakfast. The staff was "meh" though. Didn't get a warm, friendly feeling from […] them and it was almost like, oh, you're here, what do you need. Case in point, I came down to the breakfast area at night looking for a packet of tea (I don't drink coffee of which there were two packs in the room, along with a coffee maker). When I asked if there were tea bags available, the girl said, "There should be some in by the coffee in the other room. If they aren't there then we don't have any" in a dismissive tone. I wasn't expecting her to drive to the store to buy some for me but I would have appreciated a nicer response. Later that night we had a fire alarm around 11:00. After grabbing my stuff and heading down, all of the guests were in the lobby and she just looked frazzled, panicky and kept saying "I've never had this happen before, I don't know what to do" which didn't really make me feel that they were so professional. Very nice large room
"A Good Hotel"
We stayed for 6 nights using this Hotel as a base to visit CT & MT. It is an excellent place and this was our second visit in 4 months. The staff are really helpful, the rooms were clean, the beds. towels etc were new. All you woul expect from a good hotel with reasonable prices and a good free breakfast was included.

Great value, hot breakfast too! Just 12 minutes from XL center, extremely convenient for someone on the go. Even used the tread mill. Wished we had time for their Japanese restaurant. Maybe next time...

Stayed out of necessity due to extended power outage. Hotel was ok for the price, but were given a smoking room the first night and told the hotel had been overbooked. Staff was very accommodating in switching us to a non-smoking room the 2nd/last night. Complimentary breakfast was decent, especially the make-your-own waffle machine. Overbooked, and stuck me with a smoking floor, the room stunk, and the walls were so paper thin you could hear the neighboring room flush the toilet, not to mention the noise of people hooting and hollaring all night, the staff was so flat affect and had no personality, like watching paint dry, parking was minimal, and I never felt comfortable about […] where my car was parked, not to mention the area is a dive, the rugs had stains, and the bathroom floor was like walking in a public restroom at the beach, dont stay here... "Inexpensive hotel but dirty and bad area"
We used this hotel when we lost power due to a major snowstorm in the area. We had to wait until 5 p.m. to get into our room, and even then the room was not thoroughly cleaned from the previous occupants. The hotel was obviously not staffed to handle the large number of guests staying unexpectedly mid-week, but the overall appearance of the halls and […] rooms was still dark and a bit worn down. Also, we had reserved a fridge and microwave, but when we got there we were told that they were not available. To their credit, the staff allowed us to use the refridgerator at the front desk and there was a microwave available in the area where the continental breakfast is sold. I was given a room for smokers. The management said they had no other rooms. The room was dirty. It had the stench of old cigarettes. Very disappointed!

"weekend stay"
I booked a room with a refrigerator and a microwave. I checked in later and I realized those two items were not in my room. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful. I stayed two nights. She made sure I was equipped with both before I checked out. She was very friendly, good location, minutes away from the highway.

It was a nice hotel however we arrived late and had to leave early for work so we didn't get a chance to stay long. I thought it was pretty nice but I wish the bed was more comfortable. (I've had back surgery) It was comforting that the police station was right next door.

"Sept 2011 stay"
The room was very nice, clean and the complimentary continental breakfast was more than I expected. Toast, waffles, cereal, eggs, yoguart, coffee, tea, miffins, bagels and more. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
"Horrible neighborhood surrounds hotel"
Pull in at 2 am just needed a place to crash for the night. I was a little scared to even get out of the car. Random people just walking around the exterior of the hotel. Since I had paid online I felt I had no choice. Check in get to my room and the bathroom smells like urine. Try to watch some tv only a few channels work. Pillows were incredibly thin. […] I chose this hotel because I thought it was cheaper than others close by. There was a reason for that. I should have paid $20 more to get a clean bathroom, a comfortable and a working tv. We had a fire alarm go off very early in the am. It was a false alarm and I was told that it happens there frequently. If you have a problem with your system it should be fixed as I and others were forced out of the shower! When I asked the desk clerk if there was a real fire he merely shrugged his shoulders and didn't give me an answer.
