This area hosts the world’s largest hot-air balloon festival. Each fall, more than 700 balloons take off from Balloon Fiesta Park, also home to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Other nearby attractions are the Petroglyph National Monument’s 20,000 rock-art images and the Sandia Peak Tramway, a 15-minute tram ride from the base to the 10,378-foot summit of Sandia Peak.

Overall very pleasing stay. Room was a bit small but had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.
"Great to stay for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta"
Homestead off San Antonio Road was so conveniet, and the staff was really nice. The hotel was within 2 minutes from the area designated for catching the bus to the front gate of the Balloon Festival. The staff packed us a snack bag with bottled orange juice, fruit, and an energy bar. Each room had a full size refrigerator and kitchnette. The entire […] room, bathroom, sitting area, desk area, was ample. It was larger than a normal studio. "Terrific Staff"
The staff od the hotel from Heather at the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the folks who staff the breakfast meal are all wonderful and most helpful. They make the stay a most happy experience...... Thank you for making my trip a very fun time.

We stayed here in July 2010. The location is great right behind Cracker Barrel restaurant and just off the interstate. The hotel room was good. The only complaint we have is the carpet is worn and the carpet tack strip at the bathroom door is not bent down good and really hurts if you step on it. The lighting in the bathroom could be better.
