West County Hotel — Dublin

West County has the two things I value most in a hotel room: a comfortable bed and a good shower. It's basic -- don't expect ANY luxuries -- but a good value. And breakfast is very good. The hotel is about a 15-minute bus ride to downtown Dublin, and the bus stops right outside the hotel.

We loved our stay. The staff were lovely and so friendly and very helpful. We would recommend and would stay here again.

This hotel is well run great value, pleasant staff good breakfast and fast, good selection of bar food.We stayed two nights and will use this hotel again if need arise's.Just like to thank all the staff.

The hotel was not particularly nice to look at from the exterior but when inside it became very pleasing, the staff where friendly and extremely helpful, the beds where fresh and very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, the fry was nearly to much less would have been quite sufficient. Hotel is about a 15minute taxi ride from the city center. There's a bus stop across the road as well which is convenient for getting into the city center. The room was basic but clean. The hotel decor is dated but for the price of the stay represented good value.

My mom and I just got back from travels in London, Dublin, and Paris. Out of the three hotels we stayed at, the West County Hotel was by far the best. Upon our arrival, the receptionist gave us a warm welcome, and the manager insisted that we let him bring our bags to the room for us. The room was very spacious and clean, and our view was wonderful […] (the Irish hills, and an old convent in the distance). The breakfast was delicious, and I highly recommend anyone try their Irish Breakfast. Also, a four course dinner is offered for prices from 20-25 Euros, cheap by Dublin standards, and tasty beyond belief. The only setback about the West County is the distance from the City Center. We were able to figure out the public bus system, which has a stop right in front of the hotel, and costs much less than a taxi. In reality, it's nicer being far from the loud and gregarious City Center, and the bus ride is no more than 20-30 minutes. If you plan on visiting Dublin and don't want a hotel that's loud and near tons of crowded bars, the West County is the place for you! Uzziniet vairāk

This hotel has a friendly and cosy atmosphere which makes you feel very comfortable. It has a lovely outlook-looking across towards the Pheonix Park.It is close to the main road and near to public transport. A pleasant and helpful staff make your stay a good experience.

excellent hotel and very friendly staff, rooms were beautifull, this is the first time we have stayed there, and has booked for our next trip to dublin

Good basic accommodation situated near west Dublin.

We were very pleased with our choice. We were welcomed by the staff when we arrived and the room was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was just like home cooking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing break, and would deffinately go back in the future.

Hotel appearance is shabby, however room was clean, unfortunately the food was poor (ordered an omelette - supposedly made with 4 eggs, however the omelette was small, with the lettuce leaves brown and mushy on the ends) Overall, room was clean, however food and service in the bar was poor.

A pleasant stay, with friendly helpful staff and comfortable room and good breakfast. Slightly shabby and lifts not working, but not expensive so pretty good value.

Room service and conditions were good, but it was so far from city centre that I could get there spending about 15 euros from Trinity college.
