Las Palomas — Santa Fe

My wife and I selected this hotel for our first vacation to Santa-fe. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.We arrived earlier than check-in time. but they welcomed.The room we chose was less expensive types,but it was very good(roomy and relaxed like my house) Of course it was also clean and comfortable.The grocery store was within few minutes distance […] by car. The location is fantastic; easy walking distance to the plaza. Utilization of the shuttle makes Canyon Road very accessible. Staff extuded a high-level of customer service; Jay was especially terrific. Breakfast was fantastic; the selection (lattes, omlets, waffles) was suprising.

Acceptable for the price.

Accomodation did not meet expectation. Pictures on website portrayed much more luxurious rooms. In fact they were stark. Fireplace was actually gas stove. Staff was not helpful with luggage. Lots of steps to access casitas with no assistance. One positive, the morning breakfast was very nice and delicious. Will not repeat.

Booked a king/studio room. Was given queen sized room. After complaining was upgraded to a 3 room king. All 63 rooms are different.

It was fun to stay in this pleasant bed and breakfast style hotel. There is art everywhere, the breakfast was tasty, and the accommodations quite cosy. Short walk to historic town center and railyard area.

if you can't relax at Las Polomas there is something wrong with you...superb staff, wonderful breakfasts, quiet, serene, warm...especially loved our little fireplace in our room, and the fresh firewood provided.

Latches on window were broken; one window had a hole in it -- just did not feel safe. Bed was very worn out. Bathroom door was a folding screen that would not close. Person at front desk was cordial. Rooms are spread out over several blocks. Location is near enough to plaza.

Las Palomas is within a few blocks of the downtown plaza district, but far enough removed that it's quiet. The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful and a great resource for restaurants, museums, galleries, and outdoor activities. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Las Palomas is a very charming hotel. We had a fireplace in our room which kept us nice and toasty. Breakfast was great, and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. The room had a sort of run down aesthetic which kind of fits the area, but don't expect stark white sheets. This hotel is in a great location and definitely will appeal to a guest looking for a quaint Santa Fe experience. The hot breakfast was great (and the espresso bar was a pleasant surprise!). And we LOVED the warm cookies on check in. The room was a bit "tired". Curtain rod hanging out of the wall, Mattress comfortable but a bit saggy in the middle. […] Coffee table had a huge scratch in it. We stayed in the one bedroom Zona Rosa condo. It was beautiful and spacious. Comfortable couches, chairs, and bed. The balcony and the fireplace were wonderful bonuses, well worth the price. Las Palomas was very comfortable. We liked to casita concept with more the feel of an apartment than being in a hotel. The staff was very helpful and the breakfasts were delicious.

My family just stayed at Las Palomas. It is sitting very central, in a historic area. The grounds and staff are nice. However, the king bed in the casita was beyond worn out. My husband and I were rolling towards the middle of the bed all night. The sleeper sofa was extremely uncomfortable for my kids as well, and the linens and blanket were dirty. […] There were cob webs all through the rooms. This room was not even close to the photos used to get the booking. The blinds in the room were broken and slats missing, which would not normally be a problem except that this meant people walking by could see directly into the bathroom and bedroom (no curtains over the blinds). A little disconcerting because the area required people to walk by this […] room to get to other rooms in the area. The paint in on the walls was falling off (yes - falling off) and had areas were the paint had come off and never replaced. To name a few of the most obvious problems with the room a dirty hand mark on the wall in the bathroom, and the bedding that had holes and the floor had not been cleaned (my socks are evidence of that problem). Maybe this is the room of last resort – given only they do not care if they re-book or give a positive review. On the bight side you did get a fresh omelet for breakfast. Very disappointing. If you want the unusual and not the same old sterile hotel room, this is the place for you. Small but comfortable mini suites in the authentic adobe architecture with quirky furnishings. A big plus is the continental breakast that is not a continental breakfast but a full breakfast with made to order omelets, waffles et al. We had a lovely one bedroom casita. It was spacious and comfortable although a bit dated. The staff was courteous and the food delicious, so we would definately stay again

This is my second stay at this site...wonderful people, extremely helpful, will upgrade you if possible, very accomodating. Great breakfast, hotel shuttle around town is great service, wonderuf rooms and spacious. My husband is disabled and especially accomodating here...I will return

Locatipn of hotel was a definate plus. It is walking distance of the Palance of the Governors. Hotel consisted of several small seperate Spanish "appartments" or bungelows. Very quaint and more on the line of a bed and breakfast. We had one of the smallest rooms, which consisted of a queen bed, small table, wardrobe, sink/mini kitchen area and bath […] and a electric stove. We were hoping for a fireplace as the ads said, but you need to pay more for that. Our room was adequate. Nice hot breakfast in the morning with lots of side choices as well. Since we went in off season (March) the hotel was short staffed (we assumed) we had to wait to check in for the one solo staff member to check us in and check us out, Hot cider and warm cookies were a pluss in the lobby. We had a wonderful Santa Fe visit largely due to our great accommodations. The owner and staff are terrific and helped us in every way from fax deliveries to our door and starting fires for us in the outdoor fireplace. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Las Palomas. The manager, Al, was incredibly attentive to all the guests and their needs, and the hotel staff were courteous and helpful. From the free breakfasts with choices of made- to- order omelettes or waffles, to cafe lattes and chai tea every morning and afternoon fresh baked cookies, the team at Las Palomas […] made our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Me and my son just recently stayed at Las Palomas and it was wonderful! It is in walking distance to the plaza which has tons of restaurants and shopping. Also, every morning we got up and had a wonderful breakfast made to order waffles and omlettes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the price you couldn't beat!

These hotel rooms and condos are very conveient to the Plaza. The one bedroom condo was very clean and comfortable. The small kitchen was well equipped for a meal. The bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was plentiful and included made to order omelettes, waffles, and lattes. Buffet included fruit, juice, cereal, breads, fresh made muffins […] and pastries. Very comfortable, convenient location to downtown. Room was clean and the staff is very customer service focused. Breakfast is a treat. Great dollar value and we would stay here again.

We will definitely be back to visit! The breakfast was amazing with made to order lattes! The accomadations were totally Santa Fe!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, which operates more like a B&B, with rooms offered in several adjacent buildings within the old city. This hotel had everything we were looking for -- quaint, comfy, unique rooms, with wood burning fireplace and authentic New Mexican adobe style. It was a very quick walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town, plus had free parking which is apparently pretty rare in Santa Fe. They also had a shuttle service that would take you anywhere you wanted to […] go in downtown. And the price was pretty affordable compared to other comparable hotels. I loved the fireplace in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were good;&:fresh waffles or omlettes could be ordered to your taste. The breskfast rooms were comfortable & nicely decorated. The atmosphere was homey , warm & comfortable.

The hotel offered us so much more than we anticipated! Our room was fit with a fully stocked kitchen (+ wine glasses AND a cork tool too!), an über comfortable bed, and even lovely smelling cedar logs tucked next to our fireplace. Although we had a tremendously hard time lighting the fireplace (bring lighter fluid!!) our room was perfect. The complementary […] breakfast was pretty much amazing: serving cooked to order blueberry waffles, omelets, AND even a full espresso/latte bar, plus tons of fresh fruit and good stuff as well. The hotel (with the exception of the dining room during breakfast hours) is completely dog-friendly and they even gave us a little goodie bag filled with treats, doggie bags, and a sweet little toy for my little pup upon check-in! It was too cute. I only wish I liked the city of Santa Fe more, because otherwise I would absolutely stay at Las Palomas again in a heartbeat! Excelent overall service....Awsome and complete hot breakfast. All empoyes are Cutomer service oriented, friendly and help you with directions and tips. Strongly recommended.... Jut need to check on parking lot spaces.

Free wi-fi, parking and breakfast together with extremely comfortable rooms that need a little TLC which you will forget about with the fireplaces and sheer comfort. Awesome place to stay.

Can't beat the location if you want to be on the plaza. We thought the service was great in terms of what we got when asking for help or things like restaurant recommendations. Everyone who worked there was very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast, which is simple but good. We loved having a fireplace in the room, and it was nice that the hotel provided […] firewood and fire starters. However, our room was not very clean. There were cobwebs and dustbunnies everywhere. There was ash from the fireplace on the walls and furniture. It's clear they do only a cursory pass-through when making up the rooms. We also had to wait 15 minutes or more every day for the water in our room to get hot. If you look at their website but rent one of the small rooms, do not expect the up-to-date decor or furniture you see in the website photos. Our room was very dated and a little shabby. We peeked into some the bigger casitas and they looked much newer and cleaner. If we go back there, we may have to spring for one of those bigger rooms. Uzziniet vairāk

The picture looks way more inviting then the actual hotel. Yes all the beds are king sz, but the legs in the middle of the bed were broken, so it was like sleeping in a "whole" with my husband. We requested a new room, yep you guess it. Same bed problem. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that they did not take the time to set any of these big beds up […] properly. Too bad. The staff was friendly. there was a lot of mold in both bathrooms. The shower head was covered in black mold. Good side...pet friendly. Uzziniet vairāk

The staff were wonderful and offered a number of great extras that made it immediately feel like staying with relatives (the fun relatives that you WANT to visit!)

I took my wife for a 1 night stay here to get away from everything and the only negative we could find was we only stayed one night. We were very happy with the hospitality and rooms. We are already planning our next trip with family back to Las Palomas!
