Tons of places to eat right around the hotel. Only bad thing is it states on Hotels.com that each room has a microwave, this is false.

I have stayed several times and really like this hotel. Comfortable, clean, spacious, friendly and helpful service. Great value.

Hotel was clean with nice, comfortable rooms and beds. The gym was nice with towels and a water cooler. The dogs enjoyed staying and were very comfortable. Breakfast wasn't bad. It was a step above continental with waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, juices, coffee, etc. Quick refills and great service. I would definitely go back again.

Usually I get the cute, "This is the best ever!" review from him, as I did this time; however, this time, he was spot on. The staff was courteous and friendly but not imposing. Free HBO and extensive breakfast was a plus; and we stayed on a Wednesday night so, unexpectedly, there was a "meet the manager" free buffet! Once again, the staff was courteous, but we didn't feel imposed upon just to get the delicious chicken wings. "Excelent service"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The rooms were very clean, the staff very helpful and atmosphere great. We enjoyed a free dinner (BBQ) and paid only $20/stay for the dog. Great location also. Will definetly go back to this place.

Nicole at the front desk was great! The beach day turned out to be cloudy. Nicole gave us suggestions for fun that made the clouds go away and all was not ruined! The sun came out in the afternoon and we were able to still get in beach time! Thanks Nicole for making our cloudy day sunny!

We chose this hotel because they allow dogs for an additional $20. This fee is not disclosed when booking via Hotels.com. We found out only when we checked in. The room was clean, the grounds are well kept, the area is quiet at night, and the hotel appears to be recently built or renovated. Our only gripe, aside from the additional fee, is the skimpy […] breakfast. The hotel staff appeared to be unable to keep the breakfast products replenished. When we arrived at 8:15 there were no bagels, toast, English Muffins, or juice, and the coffee was running low as well. The hotel staff was very kind, helpful & considerate. We loved having a sofabed available so we could each have our own bed. Very comfortable, clean, & we would certainly stay agin. Thank you.

"Service ruined an otherwise fine place"
The night desk person was very rude and unhelpful. When we arrived to check in, he was involved in a personal conversation with someone around the corner that we couldn't see. Although he saw us he kept on talking, making no obvious effort to end, pause, or hurry to finish his conversation. He made a passable effort at being freindly when he finally […] came to help us. When we got to our room and went to make up the pullout sofa bed for the kids, we found that we had been given two top sheets, but when I called down to get a fitted sheet, I was promptly told that there weren't any. After I hung up, I realized that we had no pillows for that bed either, so this time I walked down to the desk to get some. No, I was told, they didn't even have 1 more pillow- they were full. When I sounded skeptical he asked how many pillows we did have and I told him 5 and there were 4 of us. He said that 5 was the right amount for a 2 queen bed room. I explained that we had a king suite with a pullout bed. He said well you should have 7 then, but they didn't have any more. I told him that we were quickly becoming unhappy with our stay because of this and while our room was non-smoking and melled fine, there were other rooms in the hallway that had lots of smoke pouring into the hallsand it was loud (after 10pm) because some people had their doors ajar. No appologies, no even trying to make it up- nothing. The next day we came back to our room to find the sofa bed had been remade by the housekeeper with a fitted sheet- thank you! We never did manage to get any more pillows because Don was on again and I didn't even try. We will never stay there again. This was supposed to be an extra-special treat for the family and a way to get extra rest instead of having to travel for our events. Unfortunately we were grumpy from poor sleep for 2 nights due to inadequate pillows and one night of a top sheet rolling off a mattress and we probably would have gotten more sleep driving back and forth. After spending some time researching hotels in the area near the Portsmouth, NH Water Country, I decided on Comfort Inn and Suites in Dover, NH. It had both the best price and reviews. It also had a pool and jacuzzi which were a must for us and our nine year old girls. It was an easy 20 minute drive from Portsmouth. Everything went smoothly. We were […] happily surprised to find they were hosting a free barbecue as we arrived. Chicken, hot dogs and cheeseburgers to order, various sides, lemonade, iced tea, beer and wine. And, the continental breakfast the next morning was much more than I'd expected - it included fresh waffles, eggs and sausage, various breads, pastries, yogurt, cereals, etc. We were thrilled to have to free meals after spending what we did at Water Country. If you want to eat out, there are several restaurants very close and even a few in walking distance. The hotel was very clean and I was completely satisfied with both the pool and fitness center. "Needs improvement"
This hotel was ok. However, our air conditioning unit did not work well, and I sleep best when it is cooler. Needed to have the window open at night so heard a lot of outside traffic noise. Also, the drain in the bathroom sink did not work well, so brushing our teeth pretty much filled it up. We discovered at the end of our stay that there are only […] 2 maintenance people to maintain 3 buildings as they recently laid off one. Maybe this is part of the problem. Also,the swimming pool area smells so strongly of chlorine, that it was difficult to stay in there for very long without our eyes burning. We thought we were going to save money by staying here instead of in Portsmouth, which had been our original plan. However, if I had to do it again, I think I would have stuck with the Portsmouth idea and saved us the hassle of traveling frequently back and forth on toll roads. "Good room for the money"
The hotel was very clean. The room was very comfortable. Nice fitness room. Nice location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The only problem was the pool/hot tub. They had too many chemicals in them. It caused a stinging in your eyes from the chemicals.
