"Super8 Downtown Edinburg: Good for the price"
We stayed at the Super 8 Downtown Edinburg - North of McAllen last Easter weekend and everything was preety good, only one little detail with the lack of soap the first day, but was rapidly solved. The only thing you need to consider if you're staying there is that the included breakfast is not nearly closed to a definition of breakfast: only coffee […] and wafles that one needs to cook. Breakfast schedule is also very strict (finished at 9:30). But as for the rest it was a very convenient staying, strategically located for shopping and easy to locate if coming from Mexico. "clean"
nice comfortable rooms..
Good price, staff friendly, not enough parking space.
Roaches in the room. Loud music all night from from the night club next door. I will not stay here again.

THIS HOTEL WAS NICE AND COMFORTABLE. THE ONLY THING I DIDNT LIKE WAS THE POOL NEEDED MAINTENANCE. MY DAUGHTER LOVES SWIMMING, AND LOOKS FORWARD TO THE POOL. SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO SWIM BECAUSE SHE SAID THE WATER WAS TOO DIRTY AND NEEDED CHLORINE. BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS PLEASANT.
Hotel was very nice. It smelled a little musty, but room was clean and comfortable. Whirlpool wasn't operating. Beverage machines were out of order and have been for some time, based on the tape. Was in a nice neighborhood with lots of stores and restaurants. Easy access to 281. Front desk personnel were extremely helpful and friendly.

If you are looking for a spacious room this is the place to go, I would even compare it to the Embassy Suites in McAllen. As expected it is not a luxory hotel but it has nice LCD TV, good A/C and everything worked as it should. My only complain was that the WIFI did't have good coverage inside my room, so if this is important pick the rooms at the sides […] not at the bottom of the building. Uzziniet vairāk

"Super 8 Edinburg"
The location was very convenient for us because my family members lived like 4 miles away. There was a gas station right beside which made it easy to get drinks n snacks. There is a bar n grill that was beside the hotel n was really loud in our room we could hear the vibrations from the room. When we got there there was no parking space for us we had […] to park pretty far from the hotel because people from the bar n grill parked in the hotel parking lot. Uzziniet vairāk

"Needs Maintenance"
The hotel was about what I expected for a 2 star hotel--not too many amenities or assets. The outside was lovely and well kept, but the room was old and needed painting and maintenance. There were marks on the walls and mold on the ceiling of the bath. Strange configuration in the bath area--the door to the bath blocked the lavatory when it was open. […] The hair dryer did not work. "great room for the money"
We stayed overnight and were very satisfied with the room. bed was a little hard but not too bad. room and property were very clean and location was perfect. I recommend the room. the price was great.

"OK, not great"
It was strange to drive up to a motel and find the office in darkness with a sign on the door stating that they are open. You ring a bell on the desk and the clerk came from the back and turned on the lights. The lights were also out in the breakfast room the next morning. I understand not wanting to waste electicity, but this is hardly a welcoming […] atmosphere one generally associates with well run motels/hotels. The exterior is reasonably well maintained, although the pool looked murky and I did not avail myself of it. Some of the interior repairs were poorly done and obvious. Furnishings were quite worn. "Outstanding Hotel"
We stayed there for 2 nites, when we went to my sons college orientation. It was convienient to UT-Pan America and also to the Hwy. The rooms were very clean and we had great parking. The pools could of used a little cleaning, the water was not as clear as it should have been but all in all our stay was great.

"Robo"
El hotel esta entre Mercedes y Mc Allen y aunque las habitaciones en general estaban bien con sus pequeños detalles y a esto me refiero con que tienen un ligero olor a cigarro, aun siendo de no fumadores y pues las tinas de baño no tenían tapón, sin dejar de comentar que las cortinas del baño tenían un poco de moho, la verdad para solo ir a dormir esta […] bien, aunque no de lo mejor y pues la verdad no es económico comparado con otros. El gran detalle es que a mi hermano que se hospedaba a unas cuantas habitaciones de la mía y le robaron ropa nueva que había comprado un día antes, así que pues la verdad no lo recomiendo a menos que sea tu ultima opción como lo fue para mi, ya que todos los demás hoteles tenia cupo lleno. El desayuno gratis es bastante pobre y aunque los alimentos son de buena calidad no hay mas que cereal, jugo, leche y wafles que tu mismo tienes que preparar, a bueno y un café bastante regular. Estuve hospedado en el hotel del viernes 22 al domingo 24 de Abril y la persona en recepción fue excesivamente amable y le dió el plus que requiere éste tipo de servicios.

El hotel no tien buen servicio de desayuno americano, y el cuarto no le funcionaba el abanico extractor del baño....
"PESIMA ATENCION DISCRIMIANAN A LOS LATINOS"
LASTIMA DE ATENCION POR PARTE DEL HOMBRE DE ASCENDENCIA ARABE, PORQUE EL HOTEL MANTIENE INSTALACIONES LIMPIAS, EL DESAYUNO ES PESIMO.
