it was pleasant enough,, very old hotel,, But had been renovated,, and was comfortable..

My husband and I absolutely loved it! The location of the hotel was what made me choose this hotel but once we got there we totally fell in love with it! We hope to go back every year for our anniversary. The breakfast was great, an actual breakfast. The girls that work there were also very helpful and we were able to go bike riding at no extra charge! […] My only complaint is that the maintenance could be stepped up a little more, our comforter had some stains on it but oother than that I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to getaway, worth every penny! We stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel. We arrived on sunday and it was a busy area due to warm sunny weather, but during the week, we had the beach to ourselves. The manager was wonderful with restaurant suggestions and ideas of places to see and activities. She gave us a bigger room which made the stay even nicer. The Newport Beach Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The building is right on the beach. If you can get one of the two rooms with the view or one of the 3 suites worth the price. If not the other rooms are very small with no windows. Small bathroom as well.

The Newport Beach Hotel is right next to the beach. You can watch the surfers from the upstairs sitting room. Cute Inn with friendly service.

My room did not have a window and the design of the room (with shower) was bit bizarre. I assume the desin is to let light in, but I did not care for it. The only reason i booked this hotel was that the Hyatt was closed. the price of the room is bit high for what it offers. The accesibility to the beach does not justify the price.

This little hotel is a lovely, Nantucket-type inn right on the beach. The location is across the street from the beach. Early mornings--sit and watch the surfers gather as the sun rises. great views - even if you don't get a view room, you are steps away from an enticing lounging area. great little breakfast, casual atmosphere. everything so unbelievably comfortable. right on boardwalk but noise level was low. rooms are old, but updated professionally and designed well. worth the stay if you love being close to everything.

This experience was overall very good. However, without seeing many pictures before we were surprised with how small the hotel and our room was. We got the cheapest room (expensive/night) and it was very small and oddly shaped. Also, the typical ammenities like in-room movies were missing. HOWEVER, the inner decor is very clean and stylish. We had a wonderful time at our stay at the Newport Beach Hotel. This hotel is amazing because its right on the beach and has everything you need, all included in the price (beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach toys, bikes, and continetial breakfast!) On the beach and close to great restaurants. The hotel offers bikes so my hubby and I took the bikes for a stroll on the boardwalk each day. Great couple get away.

Good location, but parking and hotel accommodation not up to expectations. Put on hold so long trying to reach the front desk, had to go down personally to request a missing plug for the spa tub in my room. Would not recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel was overall excellent. The customer service was wonderful and the ladies at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and right on the beach. This location is not amenity rich but full of character and charm. Located steps from the sand and in a great area. If you can get a waterfront room, that would be best but even without the view this hotel is worth the stay.

The hotel is located right on the beech and is a perfect location. The room was very nice, but no window was in the room for those wave sounds or to let in outside air. When the room became stuff, the air conditionor was preprogrammed and unable to start, no window to open, so the ceiling fan was the only option. Then at 2 AM, the new guests woke us […] up with a broken bed and kept us up until 5 AM. Even with telling the night person about the problem, nothing was done. In the morning at check-out, after everything was paid for (parking and room), the dayshift person said "sorry about the other guests keeping you up, maybe next time this will not happen". I kinda expected a little bone to be thrown at me for my bad night sleep, but not. Overall, I recommend this hotel, just be hopeful you other guests are quiet and if you are looking for sounds of the beech or ocean, there are only two room that have a window you can open. For the price we paid, we were expecting a luxury hotel. However, we were surprised to find it was more like a poorly maintained beach house. The bathrooms were very old and dated, and had chipped paint in many places and mold in the corners. The flooring in the room was cheap. Great location. The employees are very helpful. Beach front rooms are near the main stairwell and exposed to traffice and noise.

Ask for the room that overlooks the boardwalk and gives you a scenic view of the ocean.

Loved everything about this hotel. It was right on the beach and next to many restaurants. The room was small but quaint and we didn't even see or hear any other guests until we were checking out. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The Hotel was in a perfect location! You have the ocean, pier, shops, food and entertainment all accessible. The famouse Crab Cooker just around the corner! I expected luxury, but was disappointed. Location is the reason I booked this hotel. This is a B+B style accommodation without the personal care and service. Our room was so small without 2 chairs to sit down. Standard hallway rooms with a gap below the front door and threshold so you can hear all your neighbors. The spa tub was not an option because […] the hot water was on ration mode, trying to fill it would have taken an hour. Even the shower was a low flow drip. The continental breakfast was skimpy. We really like to be right on the ocean, and this was also close to any restaurants and the pier. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable. The shower had a very tall ceiling with a skylight. And there was parking - but not free. We will likely go back. And bring friends.
