Casa Del Mar Inn B&B — Santa Barbara

The bed was deliciously comfortable. The surrounding area had singing birds and fragrant flowers. Also a fountain! I was able to walk to restaurants for dinner and to the beach for sunset. A cozy environment, with smiling staffers.

this is my second send : Staff was very nice. There are no bay or ocean views so you need to change this . Bed and pillow were not comfortable. breakfast and wine and cheese hour very nice. It is a B& B . Dont expect hotel type service. However again the staff was very helpful.

Casa Del Mar.. I was expecting a more cosy space for main eating area.. breakfast was just beverage, fruit, and carbs... I was expecting more of a full service breakfast..

Both the hotel and the staff were extremely welcoming. The grounds were impeccably groomed and the staff were very helpful. The only negative comment would be that the room was sparsely furnished.

A charming hotel in a wonderful neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, the courtyard was lush and peaceful, and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. You can't go wrong staying here. That being said, three things to note: 1) no carpet in the room (I assume because it's a beach hotel, and that makes clean-up so much easier) 2) my room (queen) did […] not have a closet or drawers, which made it kind of difficult to keep clothes wrinkle-free and 3) "breakfast" would be a generous description of what they provide. There were croissants, bagels, fruit (very brown bananas one morning), juice, and coffee, but I was surprised at just how sparse the "breakfast" was. The hotel is surrounded by much better breakfast restaurants, so you certainly won't go hungry. The term "B&B" was very misleading in this case--more accurately, it's "Bed and Better go somewhere else for Breakfast." Uzziniet vairāk

Super happy that I randomly chose this hotel. My room was right behind reception. I was encouraged to park around back in the carport - thank you! The young man behind the desk was terrific. I must have drank 4 or 5 cups of tea? He was happy to duck into the kitchen and fill my cup of tea with hot water again and again and again. Loved the service, […] loved the room. Uzziniet vairāk

Took our dogs with us and had a great time, hotel was in a great location by the beach. Perfect for strolling out with our pups. Room was clean, just wish we didn't stay next to the room that served breakfast at 6:30am.

Nice location, it’s just a short walk to food or the wharf. The complimentary wine and cheese happy hour in the lobby was fantastic! The breakfast in the morning was standard but passable. The shower in our room was a little under par with the door handle missing and not quite as clean as I would keep it. But the linens and the rest of the room were […] very nice. It was a great little B&B with a nice continental breakfast. We had a grea time staying here!

This B&B has stayed consistently quaint and pleasurable for all of the years that we have been going there. That would be 15+ years. Amazing!

The location is good and the staff is friendly but I was a little put off by the linoleum flooring. Also, the bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were flat and very hard.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Casa Del Mar. I hope to come back many more times. I love how friendly the staff is and how comfy the rooms are, my husband wasn’t as impressed, I just love the relaxed feeling and how close it is to the beach. I can’t wait for my next trip to Santa Barbara.

They did a good job of trying to bring up an old hotel but they stopped short in a few areas, and for the price you could consider it kind of an adventure. I think they probably should have carpeted the rooms instead of leaving the old linoleum tiles. The heater didn’t work (because the gas was turned off) the fan didn’t work, and the entry light bulb […] was out (I thought this was a safety issue so I reported it and they brought me a bulb and I installed it, like I said…adventure) Also, both my wife and I noticed that the hotel staff seemed to be just about at their breaking point. Nobody but the front desk clerk smiled and that was only because we were standing in front of her. Parking was tricky and one guest that I saw got a parking ticket...If you want a nice quiet breakfast, avoid the complimentary breakfast from this B&B. The cleaning staff have absolutely no guest etiquette and were borderline rude. Overall, it's a great location, and if you squint your eye's enough the place could be considered nice. The room smelled like wet dog. To call yourself a "bed and breakfast" is misleading and incorrect. The "breakfast" was warm bagels and pastries, in past experiences I have had an establishment which is a B&B actually serve a hot breakfast to its guests. Very disappointed with our stay there.

The Casa del Mar wasn't quite what I expected from the photos, but was still nice, quiet, and very clean. The location is convenient (close to Stearn's Wharf, and a long walk to the main area of State St). The breakfast was small but decent (coffee, corn flakes, bagels, muffins). Nice hotel, even if slightly overpriced.

my girlfriend and I booked this hotel last minute for a quick little getaway. checking in was easy and we were greeted by a friendly host. we stayed in the balcony king room. the room was spacious and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the tv was a bit on the small side (but we didn't even turn it on), shower was decent (we had a bit of an issue […] getting the water temp where we wanted, water was blazing hot). parking are covered car ports and there was plenty of parking. the morning breakfast is good for what it is, i wished they would have served some eggs and bacon with it. your choices were 2 kinds of cereal, bagels, croissants, english muffins, danishes, and bananas. beverages were coffee, orange juice, apple juice, and an assortment of tea. there is a jacuzzi in the center of the complex. max capacity is 6 people. we wished it the hours of operation for it stayed open later. it closes at 9. will definitely stay here again, but would opt out on the breakfast Uzziniet vairāk

This really is a wonderful hotel. The room was large and more than fully equipped, the breakfast (included) was amazing and the staff (William at the front desk) were incredibly helpful. Thorughly recommend it!

Clean, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location

We had a really great stay in Santa Barbara and the Casa Del Mar was the perfect hotel. Really good location close to the beach and harbour and about a 10 minute walk to State Street. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the wine and cheese evening was a lovely added bonus. Thanks for a great stay!

The Inn is near Santa Barbara's Stearn's wharf. Our room was spacious, well-designed, and very clean. The breakfast room is very pleasant, with quality offerings. Putting together a continental breakfast tray to bring to our room was no problem.

I'll keep this short and sweet, stayed in room 27, the room door opens onto the sidewalk of the street. The entire room was linoleum (except for a small throw rug), had to wait at least 5 minutes for warm water and lastly none........yes that is correct, none of the old steel single pane windows would close and lock. I even went outside on to the street […] and tried to push them closed, but with what seemed like 100 coats of old paint there was no chance of getting any of the windows closed and locked. A nice, quiet bungalow-esque hotel. You feel like you are in your own little casita. If you can get a room with a fireplace--do it. Take advantage of the Happy Hour wine & cheese and continental breakfast. Super nice neighborhood near the beach & very beautiful and convenient walk to great restaurants. Hotel just wasn't that wonderful. It was billed as a somewhat quaint B&B, boutique style hotel, but in reality it was a bunch of converted apartments. No in-room coffee maker, no A/C, and paper-thin walls... you can hear everything. WiFi was only accessible in the lobby. Spa was only open until 9pm. Breakfast was a couple bananas, some bagels, and coffee. Location […] is awesome however, and the neighborhood is really cool. Seems they could really kill it with this place with a bit more effort on the amenities. (the West Beach Inn right across the street I thought is MUCH better). Uzziniet vairāk

Relatively good price, compared to other hotels in the area. Favorite part was the free wine and cheese reception every night from 5-7pm (not high quality, but appreciated when free). Breakfast is just continental, nothing fancy, but again free, so appreciated. We had a queen room, and it was cramped. You could hardly walk around the bed. Ceiling fan […] was nice. You can tell the building is old, sound travels easily, so it tended to be noisy, especially since we were off the main walkway. However, being near the office meant we could get the free wifi that was only available in the main lobby. Spa was lukewarm and over-chlorinated to our disappointment. Hotel a short 1/4 mile walk from State street and the pier. Overall, I recommend this hotel. You can find better, but for the price, it's a quaint romantic getaway with some nice features. I have stayed at several hotels in Santa Barbara because my son is going to college there. I was pleasantly surprised by Casa Del Mar. Beautiful gardens, a wonderful hot tub and the staff goes above and beyond. The location is perfect for shopping and the beach - I would highly recommend and I am very picky about where I stay.

We stayed at the Casa Del Mar for 3 nights and loved every minute of it! The location is amazing and the staff and service were great. There is a continental breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese in the evening. The only negative was a mildew smell in the bathroom.

We checked into our first room and the shower broke. Staff came over right away to assess the situation and wisely moved us to another room. That room was lovely, with a widow overlooking many balconies and vines. The hotel was very peaceful and I would stay there again.

Casa del Mar is well located, just a block from the beach. The room was small but cozy and clean. The courtyard jacuzzi is a nice touch and a nice way to sit outside and get some sun. The breakfast was nothing at all to write home about and given it was advertised as having a good breakfast, we were disappointed and skipped it all together! Hotel was elegantly decorated, with very nice amenities available to guests. The wine and cheese happy hour in the late afternoon was a great way to chill out after the long drive to Santa Barbara. The Drive from the LA area to Santa Barbara is really nice and highly recommended. The Hotel is in a great area, right across the street from the beach and the Santa Barbara Pier. Room was awesome very spacious and clean, but there were two things I didnt like. First the TV was way too small for the room and Second the bed was not comfortable. the room has been recently remodeling and was very tastefully done. the only thing i didnt like was the linoleum floors. im sure the original floors were wood. they should have been refinished. if not, they could have installed pergo as a low-cost solution to be more fitting with the rest of the decor.

Super nice, friendly front desk staff--really accomodating. Good clean room, great location--just no view from my room, and I don't think many (if any) rooms would have much of a view.

The hotel is a nice, small boutique hotel that is convenient to the beach. There was no A/C which should not be a problem for most times of the year, but if it's hot out, you are stuck with a ceiling fan. It was a bit pricey, but looked nicer than several other hotels in the area.

这个酒店是我行程里最贵的，本来圣芭芭拉应该是天气大好的，蓝天白云的海边度假胜地，但不幸刚好我到那天赶上阴天，挥之不去的乌云一直笼罩到我走都不肯散去。无奈阿。。。！！！小酒店环境不错，中心有个小spa，还有精致的墙壁喷水装饰， 前台所在地小厅也是餐厅都装得别具一格。也许免费的晚间红酒和奶酪小点心是弥补我在这个镇子没有欣赏到美丽风光的一些补偿吧。干净的小房间里，设施俱全，如果希望豪华的住宿，那你就选别家吧。
