Almost exactly what we were looking for... an affordable one nighter with our daughter. Rooms were what you'd expect for a kid's resort, waterpark was good (but in need of some repairs / renovations), hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Lifeguards were very professional, but seemed unenthusiastic towards their jobs.

We were traveling and knew of Great Wolf from our experience at the property in the Dells. Very kid friendly, however a dramatically lesser version of the location in Wisconsin. The restaraunt service wasn't that good. I liked that the lifegaurds were a little more lax than the Dells.

The price is significantly lower and the waterpark is less crowded. Really like the location of this facility as well as all the restaurants and services nearby. Only complaints is the beds are firm and they only have doubles as far I I have seen.

This was our second time at this location. Our kids 7, 5 and infant all had a great time and didn't want to leave. Take advantage of playing every day of your stay!

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge during a Labor Day weekend Cedar Point getaway. It is probably 15 minutes to Cedar Point. The room was spacious and the 5 of us weren't on top of each other in the family suite. This is our third stay at this Great Wolf Lodge. The large water slides are really fun, but the lazy river is short and the current hardly moves you at all. The fort in the middle with the fountains and the splashing offered them some entertainment, but it didn't keep their attention for long. We did enjoy the water park, but it is unfortunate that it closes at 9pm, because it would be a great place to cool off after a hot day at Cedar Point. There is a nice outdoor pool also, but it too closes early. The hotel didn't have wifi, although wireless cards were available from the front desk. The kids, however, were unable to use their wifi iPods and other devices. We did enjoy our stay and will stay at Great Wolf again. Uzziniet vairāk

Must say this was probably one of the best vacations yet. We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky Ohio and truly enjoyed ourselves. We decided to stay an extra night at reception went out of their way to ensure we didn't have to switch rooms the last day. We went to Cedar Point Amusement park during the day and played in the water park at night. Their […] breakfasts are amazing, lots of food. The only negative thing were the lifeguards. They looked miserable all the time. I'm sure it's a boring job but this is suppose to be a fun place for kids to play and a smile on your faces wouldn't hurt. Normally we stay in Marriott's or Hilton's but my sister is visiting from Australia and wanted to visit Cedar Point amusement park. Great Wolf lodge was within 10 minutes driving time, offered indoor water slides for my 15month old son (who loves water) and gave us a suite for 3 adults and one baby. The staff in the hotel are among the friendliest […] I have ever met in a hotel and I stay in way tooooooo many hotels. Free parking and free WiFi (sick of paying through the nose for it in other hotels) are great for we business travelers 'working from home' if you know what I mean. I was able to drive in and out easily and get my work done in the room. The Hotel made the safety of my son paramount, I felt this way and more importantly, so did my wife. My son had a great time in the Cub Cabin and in the pools. Furthermore, the pool lifeguards were very accommodating to my young son and neurotic wife so much so that she wants to visit again in February instead of a romantic long weekend in Paris. Pro's; Great staff, flexible accommodation, great for all children (and their mothers!), good free WiFi and plenty of free parking. Cons: Nothing really bad, rooms are a little older but are still comfortable, AC unit was quite loud, no flat panel TV (though who is there to watch tv), and was moderately expensive although saying this we were visiting during the peak of the season. The Great Wolf Lodge is a wonderful place. The restaurants are a little pricey, but for the conveniece well worth it. The arcade was huge, our two 15 year old boys were in their glory. The outdoor pool open only from 11am-8pm and the indoor water park opened 9am-9pm was a disappointment. When you had a full day at Cedar Point it would have been nice […] to go down the lazy river, sit in the jacuzzi or take a swim outside. Let alone to be able to lay in the sun in the morning before it gets too hot was not an option. It is very close to every kind of shop, store, restaurant you need or want. The security was very impressive. All in all, it was a wonderul 4 days. It was great for the children, but the room was nothing to write home about. It smelled old and mildewy. We had to open the windows immediately. Location was good because it was so close to Cedar Point.

Overall we had a good experience. It was very clean, had friendly service and the hot springs were enjoyable. My only criticisms were that we found the beds, including pillows to be rather uncomfortable. The food in the hotel's restaurant was okay and the service was a bit slow.

Great location, near Cedar Point, nice rooms, great to have fridge, microwave, but according to our son, there are GWL's with more and better slides. The old Coco Keys in the Chicago area certainly had it beat.

Kids (9,4) loved water park. Good for younger children. Lifegaurds very attentive. Saw lots of rust and mold on areas around waterpark. Mold on shower curtain. Room size good but not clean. Didn't look like carpet was cleaned prior to arrival. Front desk staff not very friendly. Grounds outside of hotel nice and landscaping nice. Exercise room terrible! […] Arcade okay. Always a fun stay for the kids. Try to get a coupon for the breakfast at the hotel. Rooms are spacious. Easy to get to Cedar Point.

This hotel is fantastic if your children are under 10. Ours are 14 and 15 so did not really get the full benefit of the hotel's waterpark and activities, they did however enjoy the arcade. But dont get me wrong this is a great hotel, room was very big, two double beds and a pull out which was ideal for us. Our main destination was Cedar Point which […] was about 6 miles away, not overly handy but there were plenty of the usual chain restaurants around the hotel. We stayed at Great Wolf for the waterpark and the convenience to Cedar Point. The hotel was great for both. However, the rooms leave little to be desired. I stay at hotels most of the year on business and I do not think that I have ever slept on a more uncomfortable bed. Everything was OK till our daughter went to the waterpark. Someone stole her glasses and rifled through her clothes and got the room key. NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY.

We were very pleased with our stay at this Lodge. It was clean and the people were very nice. The only problem was we were on the third floor and the people above us walked like they weighed hundreds of pounds. The food was very good for breakfast and dinner.

Everything was good except we had six adults in the room and I was lead to believe this room was big enough. It was not close to being big enough and it should not be advertized to hold six adults. Made the stay uncomfortable.

We took our 9 year old and 7 year old grandchildren and we had a blast. the lifeguards were very attentive and we felt they took their jobs very seriously.

Great place to take children under 8..We took 5 girls ages 17 to 25. After 2 hours they had done everything the hotel had to offer. Not the best hotel for older families

We went the week of spring break. Kids running up and down the halls all night. And got hang up phone calls around 3 a.m. Staff was ver nice and helpful.

Somewhat pricey but still a good value for a waterpark and hotel combo. Rooms were big and looked and smelled clean. Nice that it had a microwave and a ref too. Somewhat long wait for breakfast though. But, a lot of restaurants are nearby.

Since this is a waterpark and out of season (schools still in session), I did not think it would be a problem to get a late checkout on Sunday morning. However, all they would allow was an extra 20 minutes beyond the 11 AM standard checkout time. But then the most frustrating part - finding a luggage cart! It was a free-for-all, with NO assistance from […] hotel employees. After waiting 20 minutes in the lobby for a cart (so I could meet the 11:20 DEADLINE, I realized the only way to get a cart was to follow another person with a loaded cart out to his car (in the cold) to their car and take the cart back after they packed their trunk. Great place to take your kids. Fun to be had for all who like water. Life guards are on top of it!

We got a great deal on our stay. We had 8 adults and 3 kids between 2 rooms. This hotel has so much family fun to offer with their amazing indoor waterpark and yummy restaraunts you never have to leave! This hotel is also conveniently located right by Meijer for any last minute needs!

We arrived at the Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky as the last stop on our family road trip. Our other stops were DC and Chicago. We all agreed that this was the best hotel out of the three destinations. The suite really sleeps as two rooms because of the divider. Had a great time at Great Wolf!! Hotel was super clean and the water park had something for everyone (kids ages are 17, 11, and 8). There are so many lifegaurds that things are kept under control. Plenty of nearby restaurants offer many options for dining. Meijer's is right next door to get some snacks for the frig and save a couple of bucks.

This was our first trip to a Great Wolfe Lodge. We went with my brother's family. The say it's one of the smaller Great Wolfe Lodge indoor waterparks, but we fould it adequate. We were there for 2 days. Plenty for our kids to do. Rooms were clean, nice size. Beds were not that comfortable, but were okay for 1 night. Liked the balcony, I like to sit […] outside, had a small table and 2 chairs on the balcony. Our room had 2 beds and a couch with a pull out sleeper. Worked well for my family of 5. The lobby is nicely decorated and the arcade provided a few hours of entertainment. We did not eat at the lodge. We had pizza delivered to the lobby from a local place that was recommended for great pizza. We had breakfast at a close McDonalds. A hit with the whole family... teens and youngsters... and adults. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable but slightly dated. Great place for kids of all ages. They also cater to adults. My kids 18yrs, 15yrs and 10yrs had a great time.

Our reason for this trip was to go to Cedar Point Amusement Park ( which was fantastic by the way!). The hotel was only 4 minutes from the park so the location was excellent. The hotel is also close to many family restaurants and other attractions and is located close to the main freeway . The hotel is clean and well maintained. There is always staff […] available to assist. My wife pointed out that the prices at the restaurants were well in line with a family budget . The water park is very well maintained and fun . My son is 11 and I would say that is about the age limit of this water park . Any older than that, it might be concidered a little juvenile. This is definately a hotel for the family. We were totally disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of our room. We did call and complain about our toilet not being clean upon arrival and housekeeping told us it would not come clean because "the hotel is 10 years old". Walls were dirty with handprints, very dusty everywhere. An excellent family resort at very reasonable prices. Many things for the kids to do and when needing a break from the waterpark, additional activities such as gocarts and goofy golf within a couple of miles of the resort. Food a resort was reasonably priced, but again, many restaraunts nearby if you want to leave the resort. Many things in the waterpark […] for the kids to do.
