Microtel Aransas Pass — Aransas Pass

I am a travel nurse...I expect a few things at a hotel when I travel and the convenience of a microwave, or fridge is very important...The room was moldy, not a very good breakfast set up, people were ok, but the area was old, and only fast food...thank goodness for HEB and cheese and crackers!

We had an awesome stay with Microtel! The breakfast was awesome! The only thing that was a tad bit dissappointing was the small pool. But, it was still fun, and it was salt water, which was awesome! We woke up early the first day to enjoy breakfast and get an early start. The other three days we slept in til about 8:20, and THERE WAS STILL BREAKFAST AVAILABLE :) All of it was still there, nothing was run out! Everyone was very nice. We were able to get new towels without any hassle...We really enjoyed our stay. The room was just the perfect size for us three :) We will definitely stay there again next year.

The bed was lumpy, the a/c was noisy, one of the bulbs was burned out, the room was uncomfortably small.

The hotel was clean, but the room that we had reserved had a bad smoke odor. I requested that we be given a different room and they did comply. The second day our room was never cleaned. Other than that it was OK.

The hotel was very nice and close to the beach. Our rooms were waiting for us! They were very clean and cool! We will stay there again next year!

This was an OK hotel for the money. It was substantially cheaper than the hotels in Port Aransas but I think next time I would spring for the better location. This hotel smelled pretty musty.

Our overall experience was great, except with one pool incident. My family and I were back at the hotel wanting to use the swimming pool. Unfortunately, one guests' child had an accident in the pool. Fortunately the child's mother informed us and the hotel manager of the incident. However, the hotel manager told us that the pool would be ready in 15 minutes. I found this hard to believe. The manager just cleaned up the fecal matter with a pool vacuum. Did not drain and disinfect the pool. Of course we never got in that pool during our stay. way to go manager!!!!!!!

We arrived late in the evening after a long drive from out of town. The beds we comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom nice. We were looking forward to sleeping in a little and going to enjoy the complimentary hot / cold breakfast which was stated as open from 6:30 am to 9:30 am at the time of check in and when I called down at 8:30 in the morning to make sure. Arriving to breakfast around 8:45 we were not happy with what was left. there was ready made waffle mix, and an iron, but no syrup, the eggs, sausage, biscuits, and coffee were all gone. The orange juice tasted horrible. the front counter attendant did fill the syrup after 20 minutes or so but looked at the eggs and the rest and did nothing. SO MUCH FOR BREAKFAST. - Note- there was raisin bran with semi warm milk to be had. Also No towels by the pool when they have signs in your bathroom telling you don't take the towels to the pool they have them at poolside.

We loved this hotel. This has been our 5th trip to the coast and by far this was the best hotel we have stayed at. The rooms were clean and staff friendly and the pool was nice. Now if you have a big family just FYI the rooms are a little small but we didnt stay in all the much. It is located next to several shops, bank, and beaches. It is somewhere me and family are going to go back too. The price is to die for. I was amazed and will send everyone I know to this hotel.

The hotel was nice, but the walls were thin. You could hear everything going on outside your room. The bed was not comfortable for me, but my husband liked it. The room was small for having 2 queen beds in it. Overall, it was ok, and we would probably stay again if we had to.

This hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was clean and fulfilled all expectations that we had of it. Once we could hear an alarm clock ringing in the next room to us, I called the front desk told them about it and within a minute she came up and fixed the problem. Breakfast was delicious and even though it was the same everyday: eggs, sausage, and biscuits it was delicious. They also had bagels, waffels, muffins, juice, coffee...etc. If something was missing and we mentioned it, it was taken care of RIGHT AWAY. We stayed in a suite for a very GOOD price and everything worked great from the frig to the microwave to the sink. The room was very comfortable. The nice thing about the location of the hotel is there is an H-E-B down a block from the hotel and a WALMART 2 mins away. IF you want to go to corpus it's not a long drive and you get to enjoy the scenery of the ocean during the drive. The overall of this hotel was the best.

Front desk staff was very courteous. The room was exceptionally well maintained. Linens were fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. I've had worse experiences at more expensive hotels. This place was very conveniently located minutes from the ferry. We will most definitely be staying there again on our next visit.

Office staff very nice and helpful. Room was good for the price. Had two queen size beds and a side alcove type bed that sat above the A/C unit. Room was clean and bedding nice. Lots of fresh towels and the coffee and cream were fresh in packages. Room had microwave, small refrigerator, blow dryer, etc. Only complaint was the area by AC was wet in places. They serve a free hot breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

When I awoke I found blood stains on the bed sheets and pillow. I had many bites. I won''t be staying here again.

Clean hotel. friendly staff.

This was an excellent value, clean (with the exception of towels that should be retired)and in a nice quiet area. The full breakfast is GREAT! Additionally, the owners and staff were kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and choose this place again.

The Hotel room was very comfortable and cozy. I strongly recommend it to anyone and I will use it next time Im in town

Room was nice, comfortable and clean. The tub would not drain and we let the front office know and they took care of it quickly. For the price I would definatly stay again. Very convinent to stores and the fairy boat to Port Aransas

The room was a little small.....but had NO plans of staying in it all weekend.......for the price and on a weekend with short notice..it was AWESOME!

Very nice hotel and room very clean. We enjoyed the mirrors in our room next to the head board of the bed. Room had a refrigerator in the room, excellent for left overs. The one problem is... the walls were too thin, so you can hear the people next door and they can hear my girlfriend and I.....well you get the idea.

Employees do not seem to all understand how hotels.com works. I received three different answers from three different people on the same question. Please make sure you are talking to the manager, as he is the ONLY one who knows what is going on.....

We stayed one night for a quick fishing trip - could not believe the quality of the rooms for the low price we paid, exceeded our expectations! Plus, breakfast in the morning as well - great value!

Carpets in rooms, halls, and breakfast area stained, chairs in breakfast area/lobby stained - hotel just looks dirty - no soap or hot water in mens bathroom in lobby - hotel is non smoking but we had to change rooms because our room stunk - website and marquee stated hot breakfast but no hot breakfast either morning we were there - hotel staff some of the laziest I have ever seen - no explanation for the lack of hot breakfast - sat in office and played Solitaire - wouldn't even get up off chair in office to talk to guests at front desk, they just spoke to guests through office door - took no responsiblity for any problems/complaints guests had (and there were many) just stated that managers were on vacation and they knew nothing. You need to send your team to personally review this hotel!! On a lighter note - the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable with crisp clean sheets - but this was the hotels only plus.

The room was clean. The hotel advertised a complete breakfast with eggs, waffles, fruit, etc. There were no eggs on the Wednesday we were there. Waffles were great! Hotel staff helpful.

I have stayed in 5 star and 1 star hotels. This is not top of the line but it is the best you can get for 60% of the cost of hotels that are not nearly as clean. Great value, Clean, helpful, and perfect location.

We had an amazing experience! The hotel was rennovated and clean with an amazing little pool that we had all to ourselves. The breakfast buffet was great, and the front desk was very helpful. Would recommend it to anyone! Best of all less than ten minutes away from port aransas and a ferry experience.

I stayed at this hotel because of the overwhelmingly positive online reviews. I was not disappointed. This is a great room for the money. Candidly, the rooms are not huge, and mine did not have a couch or seating area, but if you're looking for a good deal, you're flexible on room size and cleanliness is important to you, this hotel is highly recommended. The complimentary breakfast was also good-- during the rush, just be prepared to stand in line if you want to make a waffle. But, I got downstairs a little early and had no wait.

If you are looking for a clean comfortable place to stay, this is a bargain. The room is small but we were just looking for a comfortable place to sleep not a place to hang out.

Very clean and confortable place to stay. Super friendly hotel personnel. Parking lot well lighted and secure. I will definately stay there each time I go to Aransas Pass.

I think the room is great for the price we paid, its in a good location the rooms are clean and the breakfast was great. The manager was not very helpful when our car was broken into in the parking lot. This was the worse part of my whole trip. While making the police report he was not very cooperative. I had a couple problems with the surrounding area the people were awful. The room itself was great but the overall experience wasnt.

Two women traveling alone, was a great hotel. Clean rooms,quiet surroundings,near attractions that we were in town for. Front desk helpful and friendly. On the day of check out, we were asked repeatedly if we were checking out? Suspect house cleaning was on a tight schedule, and we were holding them up? We checked out at 12:08pm. Would definitly recommend to family and friends.

Microtel Arkansas Pass is good hotel and staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good. Only problem that I had was wireless internet connection. my room was at the end of the corridor and wireless signal was very weak.

Quality of hotel exceeded my expectations.

This is the second time we stayed at the Microtel in three years now for our summer vacation trip to spend some time at the beach and at the bay fishing. The rooms are small but very nice and clean. The breakfast is great!! Make your own waffles with eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal, juice, and coffee. The place is great to take your small family at an affordable rate.
