Hotel du Parc — Tunis

Very nice hotel, good, clean, quiet but outside hotel there is nothing seems a very run down area a short taxi ride to centre.Was not much of a view as it over looked a series of football pitches. Would have liked to be closer to town. Theres a bar and resturant, no entertainment and we were not aware of much to do in the area in the evening. However […] taxis are everywhere and so cheap. I would like to warn holiday makers to the scam some of the residence in Tunisia play on tourist." Bonjour" then some small talk what hotel you stay at,(pricey or cheap) they ask this to assess how much they can sting you for. when told where you are staying they say oh l work there l your waiter last night or in our case l asked him what part of hotel he worked in he said office, where of course we probably would not have seen him, however this in some way made me/us feel secure BOY were we wrong he then proceeded to ask us where were going and would show us the way as of course it was on his way home. He lead us into the medina to a stall where we were given the" special" ( excessievly high) tourist price for item that l quiet liked and then we were shown to the place he was supposed to be taken to in the first place and on the way were then asked for payment for his help in guiding us to were we were going to add insult to injury.Of course we only got stung the once but we were not short on plenty more tring to con us. very good value, 15 minute walk to the medina. No elevator, difficult with heavy luggage. Restaurant so-so, breakfast mediocre. Rooms okay, nice bar with alcohol. The hotel belongs to the local football powerhouse Esperance de Tunis

No elevator. Breakfast was marginal. Staff were not helpful. Did not think it was a good value.

Het hotel was eens vast heel mooi, maar nu (door de economische recessie?) minder onderhouden. Onderhoud is nog wel voldoende, meer niet. Het personeel is niet echt vriendelijk, maar spreekt wel redelijk Engels en goed Frans. Een mannetje wil per se je tas of koffer voor je dragen (heb ik persoonlijk een hekel aan), en verlangt dan een fooi. Kamer was […] redelijk schoon, in de badkamer werkte alles. WiFi werkt meestal, ontbijtbuffet is relatief uitgebreid vergeleken met andere hotels. Het hotel ligt in een relatief rustige (lees: 's nachts vrijwel uitgestorven) buurt met kantoorpanden en voetbalvelden, een paar honderd meter van een metrostation, maar voor de wat sportievere bezoeker ook op loopafstand van het centrum (15-20 minuten lopen). Het geheel is in orde als je niet te veel vergelijkt met bijv. Noord-West Europa, maar m.i. toch te duur voor wat ze bieden, zeker voor Tunesische begrippen. De rust en de ligging kunnen daar wel tegen opwegen, een kwestie van persoonlijke smaak. Uzziniet vairāk

Cet hotel est situé à quelques ronds-points de la voie rapide menant à l'aéroport et à Carthage. Le centre ville est pourtant facilement accessible à pied (env. 20mn) ou en tram (quelques arrêts). L'hôtel, d'une architecture basique des années 1970, fait partie du complexe sportif du club de l'Espérance de Tunis. Il est d'un confort rudimentaire, mais […] propre (carrelage) et plutôt bien tenu. Le personnel est correctement serviable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et de qualité (pain frais, croissants, fruits, laitages) (sauf le café: en poudre). L'hotel n'est pas particulièrement bruyant malgré la proximité des terrains d'entrainement. Internet sans fil gratuit. Seul réel défaut: clients et employés ont tendance à fumer dans les lieux communs et les couloirs. Si le taxi ne connaît pas: préciser "Espérance". Uzziniet vairāk
